Also: in addition to the three pools there us a splash pad for kiddies, right? Where is this located?

Are there pool/hot tub hours or can I sneak in a quiet soak after MK EMH?

There is a very small splash area with small spurts of water. No very fun. My 2 yr old donned a life jacket and got in the big pool. Beach balls were popular and sold in the gift shop. Much cheaper to bring your own ;)

Good to know. We have a city water park here, pretty big, so he may even try the big kid water slide (w big sis waiting at the bottom for him). I'll definitely bring a ball.

Did online check-in yesterday. We had booked a standard room. I used touringplans.com website to assist with my requests along with the many suggestions on this thread. For my two options I chose Cabanas and first floor. I'm hoping for a standard room pool view and not a parking lot view. We will find out in 55 days!

Originally booked for 1 night at WL... But got scared of the pool refurbishment (we are pool people... With the pool not ready we would have been miserable).

So we are back to CSR!!! :) November 24!

Last time we got 2 beds - standard in Ranchos.

This time I booked King Bed and requested Casitas (fingers crossed).

Super excited!!!

Just as an FYI, you can't wait at the end of the slide to catch him, but can stand off to the side a ways. Send your daughter first, then him, then you; she can call out for him when he lands and maybe pull him from the landing area.

We'll be checking in THREE WEEKS from today!

So I think I'm going to skip online checkin because I want casitas and that isn't a choice. I think I'm going to request by phone and then fax it as well. What has your experience been??

I think the only way to make sure you get Casitas (1-2-3) is to book a preferred room... But you can request it by phone.

So far, all the requests I made by phone have been granted. *Fingers crossed*

Does anyone know if my son wanted to use the water slide if he could wear a life jacket. He's 3 so I don't think I would trust him not wearing one. Thanks

Unfortunately it's been the exact opposite for me - each of our last 4 stays at CSR, I requested Casitas 4 or 5 when I called. Even called back and confirmed the request was there.

But each time we checked in, they assigned us to Ranchos and said there was nothing on the reservation about a preference. Took a little bit of insistence but they've always moved us.

I was a bit surprised this time when confirming online that they've expanded the special requests but didn't include Casitas in the choices. Maybe because I didn't request Ranchos or Cabana, we'll get Casitas this time :)

Does anyone know what sections the junior suites are in? I've heard they are all Casitas and there's just one in Cabanas?

We have one booked for Feb. and the rest of our party has standard rooms booked. We'd like to be in the same building at the very least but I'm wondering if that's even possible?

Does anyone know if swim shoes can be used on the water slide also can you buy a bag of bagels at the gift shop? TIA

Ok...Even though I said it wasn't worth upgrading to BC, I did it anyways. :rolleyes1 With the RO discount it wasn't too much more. I haven't read every entry in this thread so this question was probably answered several time. ;)

Does the merchandise that is delivered to the resort from the parks still go to the store or is it delivered to your room?

Store even with BC.

Where do your in park purchases go?

To Panchitos, the gift shop in El Centro. You have to show your claim slip and they'll retrieve it from the back, then you have to sign. There's a special desk in the very back of the shop where you go to claim your packages.

Can I still pick up purchases after checkout?

Planning on MK on 11/17.
Will check out 11/18, go to AK, then come back after park closing for pepper market dinner and to get CSR before heading home. I hear purchases can take 24h? That would mean those MK purchases would arrive after checkout?
