Can anyone tell me if I can buy lactose free milk anywhere in the hotel? I'm debating if I need to get Garden Grocer delivery. Also do I have to pay an additional fee at the hotel for the GG delivery since it is a conference hotel?
No extra charge for GG.
The charge is for items that go to the convention center, so fedex and UPS deliveries. GG goes to bell services.

Here now! Checked in yesterday! Buses have been awesome! I'm at Casitas 4 Bus stop 2, which is first pickup and drop off!! Perfection!! Walked around the lake last night and it was not as big as I expected. It's GORGEOUS here. Magical Express from the airport was a bit confusing and a little wait but all went fine.

We will be there two weeks from tomorrow! Yay!

Planning to arrive around 9am. I'm sure our room won't be ready, so we will grab breakfast at pepper market.
While the family is eating I'd like to upgrade our tickets at guest services and get my DHS FP for the day.

Anyone have experience upgrading tix at the resort? How's the WiFi in pepper market?
Any must-have for breakfast?

I haven't had good experiences doing tickets at resorts, though I haven't tried CSR yet. We have had very good luck at the ticket counters at the theme parks, especially if you aren't there right before rope drop, when it's more crowded.

Bad experience how? I tell them what kind of ticket I have and what I'd like to upgrade to. After I've checked in, so it doesn't affect my package. Seems simple enough.

I have never upgraded tickets at the resort. But the people at the Concierge desk at CSR have always been outstanding to deal with and very helpful.

We always upgrade tickets over the phone. Seems to be easier than at the concierge or at the parks

We upgraded our tix at CSR in Aug., added PH plus a day. That was our first time ever upgrading tix at a resort and it worked fine :thumbsup2

25 days!!! This is our first time staying here! I'm a little nervousness since my husband is a deluxe snob. I hope he likes this resort. The kids and I (husband said have fun, no value for him!) came down fall break and stayed at Sports. I'm so done with value!! It just doesn't work for us! And I've tried it 3 times! Anyway, I ran from Sports to CSR and ran around the lake and back to Sports. It's a gorgeous resort from what I saw!! It will also be our first time arriving late (2am). Are we going to get stuck in a crappy section? Is parking close to the rooms? I'm sure the kids will be asleep and we will be carrying one at least. Thanks all!

I haven't stayed at CSR yet. But, in my experience in general at Disney resorts, if you are dissatisfied with a room location, they can usually move you the next day as people check out. As long as you are willing to do so.

I can't speak for the previous poster, but I have seen a number of posts on the DIS where people have had problems with "price bridging" their tickets at the resorts and have had much better luck at the parks. I specifically remember someone staying at AKL that was unable to upgrade at the resort without a huge price increase.
If your tickets are new tickets that you want to upgrade, I would think you would be fine. If they are unused ones that you got before price increase(s), you may be better of taking care of things at one of the 4 main parks. Just make sure you know ahead of time how much the increase on your upgrade should be, so that you know whether or not it was done correctly.:goodvibes

Seems simple to me, too, but in my experience resorts are not set up for tickets as well as guest services/ticket windows at the park. :confused3

Give it a try if you want. When we last did this, it was 45 minutes before we were finished.

I think I'll just hop a bus to DHS and handle it while everyone else is eating. I'll do the FP on the way back to meet up.

DHS is closest, right?

It's considered an Animal kingdom hotel, so my guess would be animal kingdom. But DHS can't be much further so either would work!

DHS is closest. I timed it in August. It was six minutes from the bus stop outside of El Centro. Surprisingly, all the parks seemed like a quick ride back to CSR.

CSR does not upgrade tickets at the resort. Again, we did this in August. We went to DTD to upgrade to AP. No problem upgrading there, but it does take a while. Use the tickets first. This will lock in the current gate price of your tickets. We also added days to the other tickets. This was done outside MK.

I think I want to upgrade the tickets before I use them.

Arrival 11/14.
2 day base tickets on myw and I have FP for 11/15 and 11/17.
If I use the tickets before upgrading, I'll lose a day of FP and I have some hard to get ones on there.

I read the upgrade thread pretty thoroughly and since tlthet are package tickets I shouldn't have to use before I upgrade.

I'll definitely do it at the gate then. :)

I think that will be a good plan. :thumbsup2
