Hi all CR experts ... hoping you can help me with your experiences and opinions.

I am currently booked at CBR for 8 nights. I am going solo, and this will be a special celebratory trip just for me!

I have always wanted to stay at CR, but find the prices out of my budget, especially when you figure in the air travel from Canada. However, if I were to shorten my stay to 5-6 nights, I possibly could swing it. :surfweb:

The Disney site has availability for a Garden View Deluxe or a Tower Theme Park view. The price difference is $400. I would really like a balcony, and I like to come back to my room to "chill" during the peak times of the day.

What do you suggest? It's not like I haven't been to WDW before. I was just there in March/April with my DS(6) and it was go-go-go. So, for myself, do I stay CBR for more nights, or do I finally bite the bullet and stay at CR?

And CR Fan -- Go Leafs Go! (But, please bing back the Jets  )
If you can afford the Magic Kingdom view go with that. My family and I just stayed on the Magic Kingdom side in room 4847 (2nd closest room to the Magic Kingdom) and it was truly amaizing. I know we have had the Magic Kingdom view in the past, but looking out at the castle and everything around it reminds me how great it really is.

P.S. If there is another Canadian city who deserves an NHL team it is Winnipeg.

CR Fan, are you home? Did you have a fabulous trip? Oh, and we are DEFINITELY going to keep our MK Tower room for Feb. Can't wait!

Does anyone know if the rooms in the garden wing have computers with internet access? If not, can I bring my lap top from home and do they have wireless internet? Thanks in advance . . . trip is getting close . . . getting excited!!! :cool1:

All the rooms in the Tower and South Garden Wing have the computers with free internet access.

I can hardly wait!!!!!! DH and I are spending one night at the Contemporary in September. He told me to book a flight, hotel, and dinner anywhere I wanted.....DUH!!!!! I can't even believe he was surprised when I told him I booked Disney.

So, we are at the Contemporary, arrive 9:20 am, plan on spending the day at the pool, then booked dinner at California Grill, fly back out late afternoon the next day. I will be a little rushed but hopefully I can show him a good time and he won't disclude WDW from our list of options for one or two nights away the next time he says he doesn't care where we go....:thumbsup2

to all the helpful people on this thread!

We had a great time at the CR! We stayed Atrium Club and got a MK view!!
Let me just say that, IMHO, the CR has the absolute best MK view out of the MK area deluxes!! We really felt as if we were in the MK!

The Atrium Club was great! We knew the food offerings were less than what is offered at GF so we were not disappointed. We loved having Krispy Kremes in the morning and the evening offerings were very good as well.

I will also say that the Atrium Club CMs are spectacular! They are all so friendly and helpful, always stopping to chat. They were just wonderful!!:)
We got a couple lunches from Food and Fun while we were at the pool and California Grill was great as usual. Our kids loved the pool and the CMs had pool games, flag football etc. They also had this contraption where 2 kids stand on either side and turn a handle which pumps water into buckets on the top. Whoever fills up the other persons bucket first, gets the bucket of water dumped on their heads! The kids pretty much got in line to do this all day! They also had fun at the arcade although it was pretty dark in there. The BVG store has a great selection!

The only con - We did have a little problem with noise coming from the concourse 4th floor in the late pm one night. But the other nights were fine.

Almost forgot - the rooms are beautiful - we loved the new furnishings and the online concierge and free web access was great!

Had a great time at Pirate and Princess - it wasn't too crowded and the fireworks and parade were so good! Loved seeing Tink in the parade!:)

If you have any questions - ask away!!

We'll be there in 3 days, not staying Concierge, but we'll be at the CR.

Glad you had a good time.

We will be there in 4 days. Do you have kids? If so, what are their ages?

2 teens :scared1: DD 17 and DS 13. I say teens because I swear they're a different species.

DD had about 5 outfits out for the trip, I said "what are you going to wear the other 5 days?" She said, "we can do laundry, can't we?" I told her to "have fun doing YOUR OWN laundry." :laundy:

In general they're good kids, no major complaints, no arrests (yet), good students, and they don't get in trouble at home or school.

Are you staying at the CR the entire 10 days?

There is now only ONE laudry room at the CR since the north wing was down. Last December, there were people in it nonstop. Our relatives had a room right by the laundry room and kept an eye on it for us (we were in the tower) so we could go down and do our laundry. It never happened; it was always so crowded.

Tell her to bring more clothes. :)

We were due to stay at the CR 12/27 to 01/03 MK view but due to my UK TA cancelling my flights we have had to start again!!!!
Now staying at the BC then the Poly so will have to save to travel again and stay at the CR.

PrincessRules - Thank you for the update and so glad you had a great time!! I am getting so excited for our stay on Atrium level over spring break. I love reading the reports from people staying at CR - keep them coming!
