Hi goofyandmore, I wanted to answer some of your questions about the tower club. It is not full service. There are no evening refreshments. They stop serving at 3:00 p.m. The afternoon is just a snack, no hot foods. The breakfast is standard fare, cereals, fruit, juices, breads, milk and things of that nature. It is lovely (in my opinion) but many don't care for it because it is not full service. There is no one at the desk after 4:00 p.m. You can still call for service, and with me they were always very helpful. I know you can request a fridge, but a microwave, you probably should ask when they call you.

I didn't have a hard time with my stroller and the elevators. When I was there this past summer, I never had a problem and I never saw it crowded. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks S.M., Could you tell me when you call concierage after 4pm, is it only to help with reservations or if you want bottled water or juice, will they accomodate you? At the polynesian, the lounge door was still opened so you coud grab a bottled water if you wanted to take with you to the park. etc.

Also, how is the tower club with birthdays? I told them about my son's and I am wondering if they will leave cake, balloons or something like that which we had at the poly too.

Carolyn

I just would push the concierage call button and someone would always answer. Whatever I requested was given. We even came back to our rooms in the afternoon and there were always snacks waiting for us. It was great. My family didn't need full service, what they did do was great for us.

Sounds good. So, you would call the concierage staff after the lounge was closed and they still would bring stuff to you or do you mean while it was opened they would leave you snacks? If you never even requested the snacks, that is pretty nice. I never had that before.

Thanks, Carolyn

goofyandmore- I could call anytime day or night and anything that I needed or wanted was brought down. Turndown service was the same way. It wasn't automatically done in the Tower Club. I called one night, and it was done the rest. When ahen asking for snacks or something, it was while they were open. I never tried asking for food after they had closed. It just so happened that everyday we came to the room, there were cookies and chips along with water waiing for us everyday. I do understand that the bottles of water are gone, so I don't know what they do there. I would contact them and find out what they may have changed.:wave2:

We returned from a 6 night stay at the cr tower club level.
12/24 thru 12/30.we requested a mk view on our ressie and checked in at 10:30.We were in room 4824 the last room bay lake veiw on the end of the building.we were able to watch the fireworks in the hall
we stay concierge most of our trips, this was a first staying light service.I did get a ok ap rate but would not do this again some reasons:
no water

(the maid does put 2 bottles of dasani in room most days.

no soda-before the trip i was told there was.

no bathrobe in room-one of the little extras i like.

newspaper was only some days

doing laundry you must go to the wing section on the 2 floor most of the few machines were broken wash and dryers 2.00 each. dryers took forever i think i spent around 30. on laundry.

breakfast was a nice selection but no toaster for bagels.

No major problems i just wouldnt spend that much on so little extras. The resort was fun and very busy we had a good time

Tinksgirl,

When you stay concierge, do you normally stay at CR?

If so, you mentioned that on the Tower Light, you had to go to the wings for laundry. So, does the 14th floor concierge have thier own laundry facility?

If so, that would be great news for me.

My husband and I are going to Disney next fall. I have been many times but he has never gone. We are looking into staying at the CR Tower. I have not stayed on the grounds in many years and have never stayed there. We thought it would be a good treat since we have had a very tough year with many medical problems for him. Now, money is kind of tight so we were wondering if it is worth the money. We are willing to save etc so that we can really enjoy our stay but we really want to stay somewhere that is fun and worth it.
We will be coming back to our room at least once during the day. We are not a couple who will be doing a lot of the water activities etc. We are there to see the parks and have some down time in our hotel. We are staying 5 nights.
I don't know too much about all the discounts out there so I've started researching etc. We are going in November because we also know that is is less expensive then.
We are looking to just get a room we do not need tickets or flights. We are lucky enough to have those already.
So any thoughts people have will be appreciated. We are looking to make the most out of this vacation and want to know peole's thoughts on where to stay.

tinksgirl-Apparently they've changed things. I had the water and snacks. We also had soda's during our stay. I do wonder now if that was because of the huge convention that was in the hotel at the time and lot's of the higher rank were staying ont he top 2 floors. I had also heard that they stopped doing the little bottle waters. I think that's sad. No bathrobes, that is one of the things that I wish we had had during our stay also.

I do think that many of the reason's you listed was why so many don't like thte Tower Club. I hope your visit was great anyway.

we have stayed at the poly concierge many times also at the beachclub concierge. This was a first at the CR my family likes the poly the best,it is nice to have a lounge which i did miss.all the tower club has is a hall near the elevators. The only laundry is located in the wings.we did have a good time .

Does anyone have pics of the 12th floor lounge/concierge area?

We are staying on the 12th floor (Tower Club/limited concierge) in April. I have heard some things suggesting that you can call the conceirge before your trip to request things like an MK view -- maybe even that the concierge will contact us first.

Does anyone know how this works? Otherwise, I would just fax in a room request a few days before coming.

Also, I think someone said that even the 12th floor has separate check in (I've read otherwise elsewhere). If that's true, does that mean that you go directly to the 12th floor on arrival, or what?

Thanks for any info!

I'd like to know which rooms in the North Garden Wing are considered Standard View, and which are considered Garden View?
We would like a room in the section pointing toward the tower and preferably on the water side, but parking side would be ok too. Just wondering if these are considered standard or garden view.
Anyone know?
Thanks
