We will be there about the same time you are! Can hardly wait (at least I can't; DH is still firmly planted on the earth!)
Hello all you CR experts!
A family member of mine is going to stay in a Garden Wing room over Christmas and I wanted to send something special to the room. I really don't want to do a cake. Does anyone have any ideas? Pictures would be great. When I was at the GF this October, my TA sent a box made of chocolate filled with chocolate. Does CR do anything like this? TIA![]()
I wonder what the CR is going to do? The mugs are included with the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan for 2008. If there isn't anywhere at the CR to get mugs, then they are essentially not fulfilling the DXDDP? For 5 of us, that is $60.We didn't see any mugs at the Sand Bar.
I went down to the sand bar about 9 pm last night but they were closed! Amy what room are you in, we are 4448 down at the end 8th floor MK view. Anyone have any questions while we're here?
You're welcome.Ok, thanks!!![]()
Thanks for that info, so we now have the answer to that question.LMEJ said:We didn't see any mugs at the Sand Bar.
What is it about those DHs anyway? My DDs have already told me they will not marry a man who doesn't love WDW! I'm raising them right![]()
When will you be there? We're doing a split stay between CR & FtW. DH isn't huge on WDW, but he loves camping! He said he would go every year if we camped![]()
Since my family and I never ship anything to WDW we don't need to worry about this, but I think it's great you posted this info for the others who do.Further to my post about our wonderful stay at the CR, I was going over my final bill and noticed a charge for $25.13 from the CR Business Center. We didn't use the business center for anything other than picking up an order of bottled water we had delivered from Costco, but even if they had inadvertently charged us for the cost of the water, it didn't cost anywhere near that much. So I called this morning and was shocked to learn that guests are charged 40 cents per pound for any packages the CR receives on your behalf! I asked to speak to a manager who confirmed this policy. I asked where this policy is stated and he said there is a sign in the business center! A lot of good that does you until it is too late! I complained that I didn't think it was fair to assess this fee when I was unaware, and he said he would see what he could do. He just called me back and told me he was going to make a one-time SPECIAL EXCEPTION and remove it from my bill, but I should be aware in the future that I will be charged that fee. This applies to any packages you have shipped to yourself, bottled water, or grocery orders that aren't delivered directly to you while you are there. I find this outrageous. BEWARE before you ship!

This also happened to us when we stayed at the Beach Club several years ago. I was told that any of the resorts that do conventions charge for accepting the packages.
