This will be such an exciting trip. I know you've been planning it for a long time. Will you be PCSing one last time or staying put?

I was so worried I wouldn't be able to make it happen since we haven't received our tax return yet and ecstatic that I was able to scrape it all together. We will be PCSing to my husband's hometown. A little nervous about small town life, but we have a great opportunity there to live in a family home and hopefully he'll find a good job in the area.

Don't bother packing one, they'll have one. Just ask at check-in and/or when you get to your room, just call housekeeping.

Thank you! I will bring our own sheet. I just read on another resort board that someone stayed at BLT and they were dirty. I hope it's not. Maybe I"ll pack some Lysol spray too! DH will be happy not to have to pack one more thing.

I'm not a DVC owner and have only stayed DVC on a cash reservation, but I believe you have to show your DVC membership card as proof, which if you're renting, you wouldn't have.

One of my best friends is a DVC owner (we are not) and she has taken us up to TOtW a few times. She always shows her membership card.

Hi there, I'm sure that this question has already been answered, but I'm going to ask it anyways, ha-ha!

I've read frequently online that you can walk to MK from CR. I know that this is true because there's a walking path, but I was wondering how the walk is after spending all day in MK, do you find that you would still use the monorail to get back to CR or would you walk? [That is assuming you're relying on Disney transportation]

Also, since MK is within walking distance, is noise from there ever an issue? I've also heard that noise from Chef Mickey's can be a problem, is this true?

I am about as lazy as it gets But I assure you - by the time I walk up to the monorail from the park exit - I've also made it half down the path to the CR! Then considering the other people waiting, monorail might taking who knows how long to even show up - yeah... Even after walking all day at MK ... I am walking down that path and am very happy about that ability
We do resort breaks and I must say that we do take the Monorail during the day - I am not up for a power walk in the September Florida sun.... But at night it's no problem.

As for the noise - the only noise I can think of...is that you will hear the fireworks go off. But no park noise. And as for chef mickeys... We stayed on that side of the CR once and did my hear a beep in the room - so I was never really sure how some people complained about it... You will certainly hear it when you open the door but that is it

Completely agree with karasmom. I chose the walkway at the end of MNSSHP in high heeled boots just to avoid the crowd at the monorail. It's a very quick walk, and our favorite thing about staying at CR!! Also, we usually stay in the GW, so prefer to stay on ground level. The monorail drops you off on the 4th floor of CR tower.

We were there 11/30-12/5 last year. We had a light rain one morning, but that was it. We also had temps in the 70s/80s all week and swam most days. But at night we were throwing on sweatshirts. It was a perfect time to go, IMO.

Yes, I should have clarified that our temps were not "normal" - but we were happy to get so lucky!
