I'm getting so excited about my trip!!! Less than a month now! Anyway, I'm wondering about laundry. We have a TPV room in the tower. I usually do laundry once or twice during our trips. How much of a trek will it be with all those dirty clothes?? Thanks!!!

We stayed in the tower two years ago and I did laundry once in the middle of the trip. Yes, it's a little bit of a walk to the garden wing where the laundry room is, but really no more than when I did laundry at WL and had to walk from one side of the building to the other. I carried the dirty laundry in a couple of big shopping bags, not too much work IMO. In case you didn't already know, the machines only accept credit cards. I did not know that and walked over there with my baggie full of quarters, only to have to make another trip back and forth to get my credit card!

Coming "home" to BLT Standard view,2-bdr-September 25th-28th , then off to BC :)

We stayed WL last time, and it didn't feel like it was that far to laundry at all. Thanks!

I just added another night bc of all of the issues getting another TPV reservation. So my dates are now 12/3-/12/7 :)

I guess that's good?! I'll edit your dates.

HERE is the thread link to laundry photos. WL is more convenient because the elevator opens up right in front of the laundry room and it's in the same building. Waiting for the Tower elevator to get back to the room takes longer than WL, but you really only have to do it once on vacation. But they really could use a laundry room in the Tower.

OK, this is in the realm of "I must be crazy to consider this". I know I want a TPV view in the Tower when we go, and I was thinking that once we see the rates for our travel dates, we could see if we could swing the Atrium Club. But now that I know that there are standard rooms up on the Tower Club level, I was wondering what the difference in price would be to get that bigger balcony, and whatever extra amenities come with being on that floor. I might be just punishing myself here, but does anyone know?
You have to call to get the rates. Its more than the Atrium but I believe you can't get a confirmed TPV, just guaranteed Tower Floor.

This info is just from reading over the years. I have stayed a few times TPV at Atrium and love it! I too would love the bigger balcony but not sure I would enjoy the older style of the rooms up there. The newer lounge looks great tho! I think you looking at 50-150 a night, maybe more depending on season.

Not crazy!

Trisha's correct, Tower Club (the 5 non-suites) are about $50 more per night than the comparable Atrium Club rate, but on most days, the lounge is practically empty and the CM - Guest ratio is amazing. There are only 16 rooms/suites total on the 14th floor Vs. 48 on the 12th.

Trisha's also right about the view, which can't be guaranteed. But, you can request a specific room. The Tower Club room numbers are posted in the Club Level chapter of the thread. There are 2 Kings with a TPV and there are 3 Queens: 1 TPV and 1 BLV (and 1 HA).

Yippee! Happy split stay and I'll add your dates to our log:)

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to ride the bus to/from CR to Disney Springs? Who does CR share bus service with? At Poly it was us and GF sharing, and I feel like we got everywhere pretty quick.

A few months ago I booked 3 nights TPV. I'm seeing now that it is no longer allowed. If I'm already booked, they can't change it, can they?

I just checked MDE and my 3 nights are still showing, along with just a 1 day ticket (which I also think isn't allowed anymore!).

I find the DS buses to take the longest from the MK Resorts. Sometimes they stop at another resort and then go on to a water park before finally arriving at DS. I have a couple of charts posted on the WL/VWL thread showing travel time from WL to DS (actually DtD) taking around 30 minutes travel time.

HERE is a TRANSPORTATION WIZARD where you can get WDW travel estimates. Estimates don't include wait times.

If you don't cancel or modify you'll have no issues since you're "grandfathered in":)

Thank you!

Time to jump in on here! We recently booked BLT lake view studio for 9/10-9/17. I am excited to try it here as it is the last of the monorail resorts to check off. We will have our 2yr old with us so I'm thinking the walk to/from MK (especially after the Halloween party) will be a huge help for us!

I'll be checking in to CR garden wing September 16 and going to the Halloween Party that night! Also excited for the walk from MK after the party while everyone else is waiting for buses or trekking to the parking lot :D

We've never stayed at the CR, but we're considering it for an upcoming trip. After much searching I can't seem to find confirmation of my question....if I book a 1 bedroom suite in the garden wing will I have club level access..it would seem so according to the WDW website. If so, would we need to trek all the way to the 12 or 14 floor? Has anyone had experience with this and if so, was it a massive pain? Thanks for helping.

Thank you!

You're welcome:)

You will LOVE the walk and it's so easy getting to the MK and monorail with a stroller. You can also take the boat over to WL and FW.

It's wonderful being able to travel to and from your resort on your own terms - no waiting!

You would have CL access and turndown if you book the GW suite, but if you book the Atrium or Tower Club levels, you'll be on the same floor as the lounge. If you need a suite and CL on the same floor, you'll need to book Tower Club (14th floor). For booking purposes, these are also called "Standard Club Level." The 12th floor only has standard rooms and no suites. The CL designations at CR are a bit confusing.

If you are only looking for a one bedroom, I would highly recommend a one bedroom at BLT. It is much larger and has two bathrooms, full kitchen, two balconies and a W/D, and may even be less expensive for you. You can also book a view.

We are staying in the garden wing rooms at the Contemporary. If we buy refillable mugs for soft drinks and morning coffee, do we have to go to the Contempo Cafe to fill up all the time? Or is there a place near the garden wing rooms?

It will be Contempo Cafe!

I have heard people say that they sometimes got a refill from the snack bar at the pool (The Sand Bar) but we never tried this so I don't know...

We have booked this room for our upcoming trip on the 25th of November for two weeks. There's hardly any information on this room... I'm hoping we will get the same club level services as the tower and won't get missed out. I'm not bothered about walking to the tower as we will be walking to MK anyway rather than using the monorail. I have been told we can use the lounge on the 12th floor.

When going to DTD, the Contemporary bus shares with Wilderness Lodge as the second pick up point during periods of bus sharing.

Thanks! That doesn't sound too bad.
I've contemplated renting a car for 2 main reasons- getting to the resort from port Canaveral faster, and to go to DTD.

Number 1 reason why I don't want to rent a car-
Dealing with my own luggage.

This may sound trivial, but since just me and my 6 year old traveling, I'd rather not be juggling all of our bags on my own.. So I'd prefer to just use Disney transport systems.
