Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

yes, I know. I am looking for the name of websites that rent out confirmed reservations of AKL Club rooms reservations.
I understand they are rare as hen's teeth now that people snatch them to rent out.
There's a DVC rentals section on this board. Also you can Google DVC rentals and get about 10 different companies that rent. However, I'm not sure where you got your info but that is not my experience in finding those reservations for rent. One sight I frequent, has 1 out of 339 confirmed reservations. Most DVC members grab them for themselves, it's why we own at AKL.

Thank you Nicole. I am saying they are hard to get, not easy. From reading people complaining on the boards that rentals should be limited, etc, is where I read people saying they are snatched up for rentals. I realize it is members making the confirmed reservations, and getting the benefit of the higher rent price, but still their right to do it under member contracts. I am DVC, but don't own at AKV, so don't ever expect to get one at 7 months. But my sister asked for me to try to rent one for her 75th birthday, so I am trying. I have never rented a reservation before, just used my own points. But I will try for her birthday.

Also, I don't think there is any point in trying our DVC rental boards or other ones where you request a reservation. I would not expect an owner to hover and play beat the clock to get a reservation. I think the confirmed reservations would be my only luck.

Make a waitlist right at 7 months. It's definitely worth the chance. I've had them come through before. Also stalk the website as much as possible, you never know when something will open. I will say, I have seen 1 bedrooms open at 7 months before so don't lose all hope.

I've done it a few times. They have changing and shower areas by the main pools at most resorts. My suit gets thrown into a wet bag that gets put into my personal item when I grab my bags from bell services. Easy peasy.
Is the "wet bag" that you mention an actual product I could purchase, or do you just refer to any water resistant bag that you put your wet suit in as a wet bag? If it is an actual product could you add a link to where I can get one? Is it designed to keep moisture from leaching out during pressure changes?

I’m sure someone has something more specific, but I generally just take gallon freezer bags with me (freezer because they tend to have a stronger closure), and they have never done me wrong. Make sure to wring your suit well and squeeze as much air out before sealing so it lays flat and doesn’t pop open.

You can use ziploc bags like some do but they make specific bags for wet swimsuits. Just go on Amazon.

I’m just doing a plan for our 18 night stay in November. The bulk of our holiday is at Wilderness Lodge with 5 nights at Grand Floridian. We have just a 1 night stay at the Poly, club level. When I phoned to book, the CM said we could use the lounge for breakfast the day we check in even if our room isn’t ready. How does it work the next day? Are we allowed to use the lounge until check out time of 11 or is it all day? Does access stop when we check into the GF? The one night cost of rack rate of £1050 ($1300) so I want to make the most of the hours - even though I’ve had weight loss surgery and have a tiny tum!

Thank you x
Sometimes with a split stay there could be an issue with mb . However at poly if you use the main set of doors to Hawaii the cms are right there and can open the door for you. Your res info will be in your MDE so you could show that if needed but they usually just let me in. (Some trips my MB doesn’t work on the poly doors).

Enjoy!

Hello fellow CL fans! I am back from my end-of-July trip. Every single Photopass pic, my DH looks like he's questioning all of his life choices. As in, "why am I outdoors in Central Florida at 12pm on a sunny end-of-July day at 105 degrees and 98% humidity?"

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, good news: I booked a Deluxe CL room at GF for July 2025 using the bounceback!

1. The issue is that even after accounting for my 3rd adult in the room, the quote is a little over $100 more than what I expected (around $120-130) with the 35% discount. My daughter (4th person in the room) is turning 18 during the trip. Is it adding the extra adult fee for the nights that she's 18? The CM confirmed that the fee goes by check-in date, and we do have a package reservation, but my calculations are a bit off, so I wonder if that could be it. It's not memory maker and it's not insurance, and yes, I know how to calculate a BB discount. Thoughts?

2. The Deluxe CL room is listed on WDW's website as 2 queen beds, and the pictures look like they are from 3 refurbishments ago. I looked it up on youtube and there is a recent walk-through and it has 2 queens and 1 of those fold-over daybeds. If anyone has stayed in this room or is planning to stay, can you share more info? Also, the room in youtube had a partial water view, are all Deluxe CL rooms on the same side? Any thoughts on this category vs other GF CL rooms?

Also, what are the chances that I can add the two kids as guests on our room and allow them access to the club?

I would add their names to your room as well but keep the extra room for the space, pay the nightly fee for the extra adults, and enjoy yourselves!

I did this once at GF. They were not helpful but did say we could. We ended up with me and dd on RPC reservation because we arrived earlier. Then dd and ds were on the outer building room. They would not change names on res so dh had to be with me to access lounge or his room.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I feel like I've seen where the same person cannot be on 2 reservations.

I think someone said I have to add their names at check-in to my room as a guest. I think you are correct. They cannot show up twice on a room when they are assigning the room, before we check in.

I’ve been on two reservations several times (and three a few) when I book AP rates for others going with me - never for CL though. It’s never caused a problem, and I’ve asked at the front desk if I should be removed and they’ve never seemed to think it’s a big deal.

The issue is with MDE and matching guests names on MdE.

There is an issue. I know because member services told me I can not have two rooms with the same guests listed on both reservations.

I'll add my two cents on this. I've had no problems booking two rooms under different promos with the same people and the same lead person for the same time period, while I figured out which room / discount I wanted to keep, but cancelled one room before any havoc happened in MDE. I did this as recently as this summer - I had a room discount bounceback for YC WV for my family of 4 and when free dining came out, I grabbed the exact same room and dates for the exact same people while I figured out which discount was better. I held on to both reservations for a few weeks and then cancelled the free dining. I also have seen many APers grab multiple rooms so they can invite friends and family to join them (as an AP, you can book up to 3 rooms for the same period, so friends and family can travel with you).

However, if you call in (and for some discounts, such as bouncebacks, you HAVE to call in), they will not allow you to put the same person in different rooms for the same time period. This just happened to me, I wanted to grab 2 rooms for May in case my kids wanted to go to Disney with friends, so I wanted to put the family in both rooms and then call and change, and the CM did not allow.

If anyone is staying onsite soon and thinks they'll be back, definitely look into doing a bounceback. We checked out yesterday and I called today. I was able to have my pick of CL (except poly), all at 40% off, eventhough the flyer says 35%. Weirdly enough, WL wasn't showing availability online for CL but I was given that as an option too. It was actually cheaper to book the WL CL vs booking a regular room with a discount and adding the CL once we checked in.

Another interesting thing, we are meeting friends in the fall at ASMu. No values or moderates were available with the bounceback but all the CLs were. There's still lots of availability at values and mods with other discounts, though.

I truly do not understand Disney's rationale in discounting rooms these days.
Regular room at a moderate was not available with 30% off (only preferred room, which coincidentally was 30% more!), but CL at GF was available, albeit, it was 35% off or maybe a little less, trying to figure out why it was a bit higher). Can you share the numbers? I'm a bit surprised that they had 40% off. It's the first time I've heard of a HIGHER discount.

Ugh. I cancelled an amazing 35% off Tower Club Bounceback because the phone CM told me I couldn't change the dates. Now I'm at rack rate for the same trip a month later :(
NOOOO! Yes, bouncebacks *can* be changed. However, there has to be availability with the promo for the new dates. Not every room is discounted and in fact we saw a total dearth of CL discounts in 2024 with a bounceback. Possibly she saw no discount and simply said it could not be changed, but that is inaccurate.

Highly recommend to mosey over to the Bounceback thread (link in my signature) where we have all the latest info on bouncebacks!

Same, package was pushed as well as dining plan. They must get incentives.
YES! They must get incentives. They push the packages. They push the dining plan. They push the memory maker. Just say thank you if not interested in those components.

We had a company trip once and one night they handed out some Wander & Perch wet bags. Very nice.

Just returned from 9 nights at CR Tower Club. Everything was phenomenal - especially cast member Jim. It was our first trip back in 5 years, and food selections while heavier then before (especially breakfast) did not rotate much. We had free dining and walked away with MANY unused credits due to the lounge offerings for breakfast and evening being so plentiful. In fact, some days we could even have lunch with the crudite, uncrustables and cookies and chips! We are looking into the bounce back and considering GF RPC, BC or YC, but with young kiddos the walk to MK simply cannot be beat. Safe travels and happy vacationing to all!

Hi, all! I'm just hovering as we wait for our CL trip to GF next month. (Oh my gosh, it's next month!!!) My best friend is leaving today to take her daughter to the University of Alabama, and I have less than two weeks before we take my son to Michigan State, and then it will be empty nest time! Really looking forward to this trip!

So sad they got rid of bottomless mimosas at Steakhouse 71 breakfast. (I’m probably the reason why.)

Hi, best friend. :wave2:

😂 I also love a bottomless mimosa offering.

Jim is amazing! Glad you had a great trip :)
