That’s great they’re reaching out! Our last CL stay there was when they just started converting half of the Lodge to CCV, so we are excited to be back as well! We always look up videos on YouTube when we have a CL stay upcoming, and just watched two new WL CL videos last night, if you’re interested in checking them out! The evening rotation hasn’t changed in a couple months. Enjoy it, looking forward to your pics!

Good to know, I'll check them out

I just watched a couple, thank you for the recommendation. It looks like they switched the coffee machine from the one that CSR has to a nespresso machine like AKL. I will report back on which it is, I'm hoping for the nespresso, unless someone is there before me, then please let us know.

I noticed there were different machines in the videos as well. I think it’s possibly the opposite. The video at the bottom says posted 1 day ago. But some videos, more recently, do show the AKL machine. Could be old reposts. Curious now. I usually just get regular coffee because I have 0 patience and won’t wait on line. 😂

We just got back Wednesday, was supposed to be Tuesday but our flight got canceled!! We got the alert while we were in the United Club and just 30 minutes before, United texted us that they will be seeing us soon! LOL
Thank goodness for my son and DIL, they headed to the front desk and they got us on a 6AM flight the next morning. There were plenty of local hotels so they got us 2 rooms and an Uber.
I just wish United would have sent the alert while we were still at The Contemporary so we could have stayed another night.

Otherwise, we all had a great time. The food on the Atrium Level was so much better than 2 years ago. Breakfast was always scrambled eggs, frittata, sausage, hash browns and bacon. They had much more but that was our favorite. We didn't get too much of snacks in the afternoon because we were hardly ever there. But, the one time we were it was chips, veggies, dip and some other things. One thing I was happy about was the Mickey ice cream bars!! Also, we weren't there too much for the apps, but the steak bits were delicious! DH had the roast pork and loved it. There was sushi every evening, and veggies and different slices of cheeses.
We differently weren't disappointed with the offerings. The desserts were very sweet, but 3 nights they had macarons, my favorite! Wine offering were good too. One thing that I felt was missing were the towel animals which my GD would get excited about, we got just one chicken. LOL Last time, it was everyday. Maybe Mousekeeping didn't have time or just didn't know how to do one.
I had put in a request for room 4846 and I was pleasantly surprised we got it.

We did the LLMP throughout our stay and also LLSP. It cost me over $1,200 for that service which is obscene!! But, we didn't want to wait in standby lines in the heat. The only line we stood in was Tiana's because we lost our LLSP because we moved everything from Sunday to Saturday because of the Hurricane. The concierge changed everything but that. It was a VQ and I would say we waited about 35 minutes and the line moved fairly fast.

First time eating at Steakhouse71 and it was so good!

We'll be back, but not sure when, never in the summer again.

Glad you had a nice stay—trip sounds great. I’m shocked by the price of the LLMP though! 😮

We just booked a stay at GF club level in January - our first club level stay! Mostly I just wanted to stay in the main building. Any CL tips we should know, or things to definitely take advantage of? I'm super excited!

Does it pay to get Club Level Access when you already have the dining plan? Has anyone done that before?

Thank you as always!

I don't ever get the dining plan, but if when you ask, "does it pay" you mean is there a tit for tat return on what I drink and eat in the club lounge and the price of staying in club, no, never, never even close. That's not why I stay there. I stay there for the better rooms (suites, deluxe), the concierge service, minnie vans to and from the airport, and the cozy feeling of being on a more secure floor with less traffic.

Heads up… I got a call from WDW Guest Services Wednesday re: our September CR stay. I couldn’t answer, they left a number to call them back. We have a King Resort view room in Tower Club booked, with the 10% discount that was offered early this year. I assumed it was the normal pre visit call, so wasn’t in a hurry to call back. Someone called me again today. The Tower Club is being closed for “some construction work” & all guests with reservations are being moved. The CM at first said our room wouldn’t be available, but when I asked about other rooms in TC, she said the whole floor will be closed. I was offered Theme Park View in the Atrium Club, for the same price or I would get a refund if the price was less. I wasn’t thrilled about that option, so asked nicely if there was anything at GF with our discount. She had to check with the “resort partners”, but was able to move us to RPC at the same rate. Very happy with that. I was surprised by the call & didn’t think to ask how long the closure might be.

So I guess it doesn’t matter they don’t have the meatballs at CR anymore. I can’t wait to see the gorgeous new rooms & lounge!!

We have done both CL and dining plan on some of our stays, but only when there was a big CL discount or free dining bounce back. On those occasions, we found that we didn’t use the lounge a lot midday or during evening appetizers as we were either full from a QS lunch or heading out for a TS dinner. We did enjoy getting dessert and a drink most evenings. If you want to do a CL stay and don’t have some form of discount, you would probably be better off paying out of pocket for your meals.

We feel the same way. We've done CL when FD was offered and it was just way too much. I was so tired of eating by day 3 😁. So I would say pick one. Do you want to pick your meals and deal with ADRs or do you want the convenience of just showing up and eating what's available at the lounge?

OMG! What?! Noooooo! Do you know when in September this starts?

Ugh. We're August 27 to September 12. I guess I better start thinking about my options so I'm prepared for the call. Thank you so much for the warning!

Oh no! Such a long stay, I’m sure you must have been planning for a long time. Are you OK with split stays? Just in case you can get some of your stay in? Also, weird that you wouldn’t have gotten called already, since you’re there well before me.

I am okay with split stays, usually. This one I was deliberately planning to stay put. I'm looking at all of the monorail and crescent lake availability right now and trying to figure out what I can make work. Signature Services is already closed so I plan to call them at 9 tomorrow. It is weird that I haven't heard from them, although in general I feel like Atrium is better with the phone calls than tower. Was your call from SS or somewhere else? I did miss a couple of calls last week that look like they could be Disney but I assumed they were DVC sales calls.

Loved reading this as it's been so long since I've been to Disney! (going back in October for a budget trip with my daughter). I have never been to Contemporary and am wondering why room 4846 is a favorite of yours? My husband and I were in Disney in 2015 and the best "luxury" we've experienced is Wilderness Lodge. I am so, so interested in Contemporary. What would be your top tip for us in booking CL? Besides that room, lol?
