Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Yep we were at CL that trip too. Dd was arriving from the airport and with delay got to catch the fireworks😅

It was nuts. You couldn’t get from Hawaii to the GCH. All the visitors were sitting in the hallways of Samoa and Nuii.

I went to meet DD from her RS and the resort was packed.
We were there too, it was a wild and crazy night.
Yes!!!! That’s the trip we met in person for the first time, at the quiet pool!! Weirdest thing hearing your name called out of nowhere in Disney!! 😂
We were there sorry I didn't get to meet you. Met lots of other disers that trip.

Priming everyone for (off topic-y) left coast CL pics - 4 nights at GCH starting today, I added a night so I could do early entry in the morning. This WDWer has no idea what to expect! All my later meetings were cancelled, so I can avoid traffic to the extent that is possible in SoCal, really glad I splurged on the extra night since I’ll now get there early enough to really enjoy it. Left coast CL makes WDW CL look like a bargain, btw, I managed to get one discounted night, but it had to be a whole separate reservation from my original one - they said checkin and checkout had to take place during the discounted period.

Are you speaking of the year the “private swimming pool” opened in front of Hawaii? In order to get in the lobby a CM drove us a few feet thru it to dry land. Surreal.

Possibly, it was certainly raining hard enough. We went inside when it started raining and didn't go back out. It was so bad they let non CL peeps into Hawaii to get out of the storm.

Holy cow, ya’ll. Having never stayed at RPC in the “before times”, I am stunned at the afternoon tea offerings at Grand Californian. CMs could not be more lovely. And the lounge is gorgeous, and so far, uncrowded. This was on my arrival, around 2:15 pm.

Why do you have to see a CM for assistance with that wine? I think we all know what to do with that lovely selection!
I mean, right??? They ran right over to give me my bubbly and asked if I wanted a glass or go cup. That’s what I’m talking about!

Oh, look. It’s 4:20, and I just finished my last meeting. Time for apps!

Grand Californian off-topic CL post. Apps are 4-7. Quite a nice wine selection, Lounge more crowded, but nothing like WDW at apps! It is gorgeous out, 74 and sunny, and I’m the only one on the balcony. Everything is yummy. Humboldt Fog is my favorite cheese, so I’m overjoyed right now!

We have been stalking our 4th of July reservation for club level availability at Yacht to Beach without success after many a phone call!

We are considering staying at GF Club Level for a day or two instead. This is a silly request, but does anyone know if they stock rock candy and pixie stix regularly? We saw it on a recent review and my 10 year old daughter is obsessed with the idea!

We loved that outdoor balcony off the lounge! Do they still have choc covered strawberries?

Hope to get back there someday! The entrance into the park was so convenient for breaks and lounge time midday!

They had the rock candy in Nov but when it ran out it wasn’t restocked. I think the candy will vary but still something fun for kids. The do have ice cream bars now in RPC so she might like that even more?

We've only stayed CL at GDT. The closer we get to our trip, I'm having doubts about CL. We took advantage of the breakfast offerings but only used the lounge once or twice for mid day & evening offerings at our previous stay. I also have a gluten allergy & I'm a little concerned about the offerings. I'm holding onto our reservation because with the discount I have, there are no other rooms at Poly. We would have to switch to BWI resort view, CR Main Tower water view, GF resort view. BWI also has a CL room open.

I'm also concerned about cutting into our park time as we enjoy sleeping in & staying out late. I've stayed at Poly & DH hasn't so I want him to get that experience but I'm wondering if the dining plan will work better & allow us more evening time in the parks. How do you all navigate your resort & park times with CL stays?

DD and I go to lounge early then head to parks. WE ALWAYS come back midday so we do use lounge then. Then at 5 we hit the lounge and head out for the evening. Some trips I hit the desserts every night and others maybe only once.

For you touring preference I would skip cl. Use the app and book dining day of. We like the flexibility of non cl trips. How do you know when you will be hungry or what time you ILL is for later in the day? so we book in the morning our rides and then eat around that.

BWI cl is nice however if you plan on a lot of epcot and HS time. We didn;t mind walking from epcot and grabbing a break then head out to hs . No time really wasted.

I was thinking that BWI CL would be easier to navigate being so close to HS & Epcot. I appreciate your feedback!

Looking for feedback on a late resort change. Staying from 6/26-29 at CR for a trip to MK for TBA on opening day. Its a Resort View-Club Level room so it'll be Atrium. I recently saw availability for YC in a Water View-Club Level room which I am intersted in! Ive not stayed at either and they are both on my to do list. Pricing difference is negligible. Proximity is ideal for MK for the 28th with CR but I like the pool and have read the CL is better there than at Contemporary.

I probably should stay at CR for proximity but could be swayed if CL is better elsewhere. Thoughts?

I'm thinking about changing my upcoming stay over July 4th week. I currently have a split stay booked. Rivera and Grand Floridian.

Last year we stayed at BC club level over memorial day week. I want to stay CL again. I'm thinking about a couple nights at the Grand Floridian but I've never done CL there. Does anyone think the price will be discounted as we get closer?

The current AP discount is terrible for all CL rooms. How is CL at Grand Floridian?

Stayed YC-CL GV around Christmas time and had a good stay. I thought the CL was very good and much improved since prior visits. The food is fine, enjoyed breakfast more than dinner, but didn’t think it was amazing. I like CL at YC bc I find the quick service at YC BC very lacking. The standout for me was the great service I encountered during that visit. Overall I love the resort though and it certainly is a much better pool than CR, albeit a lot more crowded.
Literally just got back from an Atrium Club visit. My last visit there was almost a year ago and I thought both the food and service had improved—especially the food. The food wasn’t bad at CR before it was just a little “weird” for lack of a better description. In particular the breakfast had improved. There was a much better variety—more choices, more accessible options, etc.
The staff was constantly rotating items, bringing out more and everything was kept hot and fresh. I also noticed managers around a lot during breakfast and evening service making sure things were going well. Overall, the little tweeks like on-hand managers, more staff and ones that seemed better trained were really noticeable and I personally found Atrium Club to feel like a more elevated experience compared to the YC CL. I love both resorts for different reasons and I think you’ll be happy and have a good experience at both, but I just found the CL experience at CR to feel more worthy of the cost and more elevated. I’d be happy to answer any more questions about CR since lounge is very fresh my memory. I honestly was waffling a bit about doing the CL vs. a regular room at CR and appreciate the feedback I got from some board members on here. 😃
