Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I can’t find anything on the WDW website, but this is from post on TP

“Guests staying club level or direct contract DVC members can get 20% off VIP tours this summer. The promo runs July 17-September 28. Aug 31 & Sep 1 are blocked out.”

My DIL saw it on WDW prep school site.

We are staying in the Contemporary garden wing 1 bedroom suite club access. Sleeps 5. Can I add 2 small children to this room for an upcharge?
No it sleeps 5. You may add (1) child under 3 to this occupancy. This is a Fire regulation and not any type of resort fee for upgrade situation for the 2nd child.

You might consider a Garden Wing 1 Br Hospitably Suite with Atrium CL Access they sleep up to 7 and usually are about $100 more per night vs the regular 1 br Suites.

ETA: add an additional suggestion.

Hello all!

Is the capacity listed as 5? Every resort room has a listed capacity. Everything I’ve read says that is the number you can have PLUS 1 infant under 2 in a crib, no extra charge. I don’t think suites get to add extra infants.

Edit to add… the Garden Wing Hospitality Suite will accommodate 7 adults plus 1 infant. So that suite would work for you. The regular 1 bedroom will not. I did a mock booking, put in 5 adults & 1 infant. The regular garden room suite shows up. When I put in 2 children, listed age as infants, the 1 bedroom is not offered as an option, just the Hospitality Suite & DVC villas.

Frankly not a bad little perk, if you don't mind VIP touring during surface of the sun season. 😂

If only they'd bring back a G+ version of the special FP+ program for CL guests (idk, extra ILL?)...the other day I was cleaning out some old files on my laptop and found the itinerary DSS emailed me for our doomed 2020 trip that had our perfect AK and Epcot day with all the Tier 1 rides.

From your mouth to Mickey's ear (Josh D'Amaro) but not very likely. They pilot many things in CL but once they move to the Guest mainstream they tend to not return. The only exception in the last few years would be the Minnie Van Airport Service that returned again as a CL only offering but never went mainstream to guests.

If only Genie+ delivered on the original vision but it got caught in the Pandemic period. What arrived is only a shell of the original plan.

I know the answer to this in my heart, just wanted everyones opinons…

We booked a last minute getaway for the 4th of July. We have a room at AKL booked for the night of the 4th through the 7th. We have since decided to fly in the night of the 3rd.

We have decided to get a room at the Poly for the 3rd, utilizing the room til checkout on the 4th, then swim/enjoy the festivities through fireworks. We would utilize luggage transfer for everything except a swim bag or two.

Since we won’t technically have a room to go to between 11:00am and the fireworks, would you recommend booking CL instead of a regular room to have access to the lounge throughout the day? We will have two kids, ages 3 and 9, no need for naps.

Trying to see if the $300 cost difference makes sense or not.

Overall excited for the fun vibes at the Poly for the 4th!

Oh I loved those CL FPs, that was the best!

I would, especially if you're planning to stick around Poly. 7/4 is prone to storms (right @mrsap?) and having somewhere to hide/ride it out (along with 300 of your closest friends) might prove beneficial.

On 7/4 Poly has a reserved section on the beach for CL guests viewing. I am not 100% sure how they would treat a guest that had checked out that day - they have guest lists and distribute wristbands. Presumably you still qualify like other CL privileges day of check out, but I don't know that as fact. Things tend to go differently around the resort that day.

Be warned Hawaii is a bit of a zoo that day, even without bad weather. It's a fun holiday zoo, but just a lot of people.

Have fun - I'm jealous!

No experience at Poly CL (as you know, lol). But last year we were moving from CR Tower Club to BWI CL on July 4th. We were given wrist bands at Tower Club the morning of the 4th even tho we were checking out, told just to have them on if we were coming back later in the evening. So at least at CR, it was the normal CL access even after check out.

Still some of the best pictures I ever took was at Poly for the 4th! It was scary! And this was literally right before fireworks were to go off! The evening started off so beautiful too!

We have spent a few July 4th’s in Disney, and Poly was one of my favorites. Definitely a fun couple of days, fun atmosphere. I’d definitely book CL!! Nice front row seats of the best holiday fireworks of the year! Enjoy!

Yep we were at CL that trip too. Dd was arriving from the airport and with delay got to catch the fireworks😅

It was nuts. You couldn’t get from Hawaii to the GCH. All the visitors were sitting in the hallways of Samoa and Nuii.

I went to meet DD from her RS and the resort was packed.

Yes!!!! That’s the trip we met in person for the first time, at the quiet pool!! Weirdest thing hearing your name called out of nowhere in Disney!! 😂

Thank you dbprimeaux for uploading the pics. I tried to reply directly from your post but it kept forwarding me to website ads. I can't wait for my upcoming stay and was curious what food offerings they were doing. It looks delicious.
