Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

From the rooms, no. You can't even see enough of them from the lounge to make it worth watching from there.
The best view I've had from BWI was our room at the very end of the resort, next to the last room, 4203. It's higher, so you are mostly over the trees. Still have no view of the lake but it's better than any other spot at BWI, and I've tried just about all spots.
You would miss so much of them that honestly, it's not worth even trying to watch from the resort. Not something as spectacular as the 4th (or equally as massive as NYE)
It's worth going IN the park.
I agree. You can't view Harmonious from BWI. I stayed in the room directly opposite the lounge. From the balcony you can look right and see the high fireworks. You're not really seeing Harmonious. Assuming you're otherwise going to be at the resort it is a pleasant way to enjoy a drink.

At a conference in Orlando now and staying at the Rosen Centre, switching to YC CL tomorrow. Have lobbied HARD to switch over later today, but DH not biting 👎. What’s with these non-Disney people??
I feel ya, I'm married to a non disney person to.🤷‍♀️. Fortunately my kids take after me. I like disneydads idea, a little solo me time seems to be in order🤣

I'm staying at AKL club level for the first time next Spring...my sense is in terms of the food and the views, it might be a step above a few of the others. Is that fair?

It’s an unique experience. The animals are so nice . I never cared for zoos but morning coffee with 🦓🦒? Love it!

The resort is peaceful and a nice break from the parks. Food is unlike other resorts and I enjoyed trying new things.

Step above? I could write up each cl lounge as being the best . It all depends on what you want. However the price-value grade is an A.

Sounds like a good time for a solo night at YC CL to me. :earboy2:
Hmmmm! “Why don’t you uber over tomorrow, hon?”

Ya’ll know I’d get THAT LOOK. If only a room in our category wasn’t available for tonight!!

For the Gran Destino club level deluxe suites, it looks like the lakeside rooms are L-shaped, whereas the porte cochere side rooms are shaped like home plate. Any thoughts on the difference? Just the room layout, not the view. Thanks
The one L shaped I had twice. However I keep looking for differences. Mainly the home plate one has a closet in the living room. I did ok without because I had the whole living area to myself on one trip and 2nd it was just me and dh.

If I booked again I would not have a preference. However if view matters you can request that, I am good with either side. Often I have a preference for things but this time the tower and lounge are so nice it’s hard to get a bad experience.

Same- My husband makes like every 3rd or 4th trip. My parents and siblings are super into Disney so we have a regular crew thankfully lol. My kids are definitely on the Disney bandwagon as well.

SAME! My daughter and I now go solo every time- as long as my wife gets a trip somewhere else during the year, she doesn't care.

Glad I'm not alone. We did our first trip without him last year and loved it. Sure, I missed him but we had the best time lol. Definitely plan on doing it again.

Because of availability when we booked, we have a split stay. 2 nights BWI CL and 2 nights CR Tower CL.

I received the call from BWI in advance, which I find to be a nice touch. I was asked about any food restrictions, and I mentioned being vegetarian. I was offered to speak with the Chef, which I declined. (I view my diet as a lifestyle choice and not a severe allergy, so I take the approach that it’s on me to figure out.) We wrapped the call, and minutes later, I was contacted by the chef. Incredibly gracious. Reviewed my preferences and assured me I would have options at meals and gave me his contact info should I need any additional help. I was totally blown away. Way above and beyond the service that I would have expected or needed - especially for a 2 night stay!!

I haven’t heard a peep from CR.

Now, we haven’t started our trip yet, so clearly I’m withholding judgment, but that is my anecdotal account so far.

ETA - Received an outstanding call from CR, so all good on that front.

Very exceptional service across the board!

We're back from a recent 5-night stay at the BC. The CM did everything in their power to make sure the guests were enjoying themselves. They even went out of their way when a family member had a medical emergency.

In terms of the lounge itself, there was never anything that we were wowed by or felt that we couldn't get else where. We had a repeating menu back-to-back nights, which unfortunately was a meal that we didn't care for the night before.
While CL was substantial for what it is, I don't think it currently warrants the cost for my family.

That’s too bad. When we were there in August, the food was on a 3 night rotation.

My CR cl stays i for called about a week prior. I’m not sure of your dates?

That’s why I canceled my cl stay at BC and have a woods view. My 2 nights are at rack rate. It’s just too much of a bump.

Nice to get feedback. Thx for posting.

I put AKL CL on the above average end of the scale for food/lounge offerings - they've always seemed to have a nice variety of fresh/interesting items and I love their breakfasts. Views are unique so nothing to really compare it to, but personally TPV > Savanna/Animal views every time so I don't personally put AKL on a pedestal in that regard. Plus points deducted for location/no walkable access to anything, as well as lengthy distance from rooms to the lounge, no dedicated CL floor, and smallish room sizes. But points added for a resort/concept that is uniquely Disney, incredibly relaxing vibe, and feeling like you've been transported to a different world.

I will note my DW didn't love her recent experience there and found the CMs short and offerings on the lighter side, but I'm willing to chalk that up as an isolated situation that can sometimes happen at any CL.

That's my two cents at least.

@trishadono - just saw this on the news and had to look it up online to share!! I think it would come in handy for others on this thread as well!!!! I’m cracking up!!! 😂🤣

Tropicana debuts ‘perfect’ mimosa maker with orange juice spray bottle

The Tropicana Mimosa Maker is here to make your orange juice and Champagne concoctions easier to brew.

The limited-edition device is a 12-ounce spray bottle that spritzes just the right amount of juice into your sparkling flute.

The three settings of the bottle include whisper, spritz and shower — so the drinker can sip on a mimosa with a little or a lot of OJ.

The “ultimate OJ diffuser” can also be a “perfect” gift, Tropicana says, as it comes in a mimosa kit filled with a bottle of Tropicana Pure Premium Original orange juice, two Champagne flutes and two Tropicana red-and-white striped straws.
