Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I had Wilderness CL booked for January, but a Chronos Club deluxe suite just popped up, so I grabbed it. It’s the only club level we’ve never stayed, and with the AP discount, it was $1500 cheaper than the discounted deluxe Wilderness room, which is nothing to sneeze at; thought it was an omen to jump in and try it. Thanks for all the good info on this thread! (So there’s now a WL cl up for grabs!)
same here; had deluxe cl room at bwi for end of jan - feb; it came to 7700+; when aps popped and no discounts for even standard cl at bwi i booked deluxe suite at gdt - saving $3200ish;

It’s not just that week. I was looking for July 4th a few weeks ago, no CL rooms at CR that week. Figured, OK, it’s a big holiday. But there are rooms at Poly CL. After I read your post, I went back & did some sleuthing. There are no CL rooms available at CR or GF all summer. From May 14th until September 3rd. Nothing. A one night stay May 12-13 shows almost every CL room type at both resorts. Add May 14 & not 1 room. Everything opens back up on September 3rd. Random CL suites at Sugar Loaf do show up tho.

I’m guessing the RPC remodel will be happening sometime between middle of May & beginning of September. Possibly CR CL rooms are being held to move guests who already have RPC booked. If that’s what’s going on, CR CL may open back up once plans are set & any GF guests moved. That’s my theory anyway.

edit to add: Poly CL does show availability all summer, including July 4th week.

Worth noting I was just messing around with some reservations/searching and what you observed above is still the case.... no GF CL or CR CL 5/14-9/2. Definitely seems like that's a good sign those could be the possible projected construction dates (or just a total algorithm fluke, but seems unlikely).

Separately, I saw Conch Key is now underway for renovations. Seems like the story for 2023 is going to be more obtrusive construction/renovation for GF. Big Pine Key and Boca Chica weren't small jobs but their locations allowed them to be sort of "over there" type of projects and not overly detrimental to the GF guest experience. As things march towards SL, the main building, etc, seems like more walls/closer construction activity to the heart of the resort is inevitable.

We really liked the deluxe suite. Having seating midday was so nice! Also an extra 1/2 bath has handy too. It’s not far from location of the suites to the elevator and then quick ride up to lounge.

Also there are so many places to eat atCSR it’s a nice place to stay.

Thanks so much for the review! Generally when we go it’s just my college-aged DS and me, but this time my husband is going to tag along for business meetings in Orlando and Tampa, and he’ll enjoy the extra room to work.

I was actually just coming on here to talk about this, what a coincidence lol! My friend that used to work at WDW just went back last week to take her nephew for his fall break, and FINALLY got to stay RPC for part of the trip. She met her old boss for drinks at Enchanted Rose and said she made a comment about the state of the main building (mainly the skylight dome things), and her old boss said it's going to be a really annoying refurb since they have some structural stuff to do in that building that they don't have in the others. He was saying they pushed it up because of some issues that need to be addressed, but since BWI and the Poly construction are taking most of the money and man power it's going to be slow to get to, he did say it should be done by 2024 though (my friend said "he crossed his fingers when he said that though"). So I did suspect that a lot of people are being moved to other CL during that time, so hopefully it's during that time frame. I would like to give RPC another try, but will wait it out for now with fingers crossed they get this over with sooner rather than later.
My friend said they were originally looking at a much later date, when I talked to her earlier this year, but she guesses enough people complained for them to speed it up.

GF RPC question- is there a children's area with some toys? We had a GDT Chronos stay in Feb, and the highlight of club level for him was the toy box.... GF CL stay coming up soon and I've been hyping him up- but he keeps asking if they have a toy box lol. He remembers all the specific toys he played with there. 🤣

I am sure he will be happy either way. If there was a Disboards for kids though he probably would have asked this question months ago so maybe I can find out for him.... lol

There’s a kids TV, but no toy box that I have ever seen.

I currently have a one bedroom villa at the boardwalk booked for my upcoming December trip. I noticed club level for Polynesian and beach club are available. Wondering if I should make the switch? The poly one is a normal room and the beach club is a one bedroom suite. Going with a 2 year old

well a change of plans; my TA was away on a cruise so nothing could be done by me; all i know is for my jan 31-dec 7, 2023 dates there were no BWI deluxe CL rooms left even at rack for the last 2 months or so(booked ours in may); have only stayed in the deluxes there; there were some standard cl rooms still but at rack, however, weren't offered at AP rate; spoke with TA once and said i booked the deluxe suite at GDL at AP rate because i just could never pay full rack at wdw; so she got home, emailed me, and told me she got a great CM who, even though none were still available, flipped my BWI deluxe to AP rate; soooooo...even though i would love to try the GDT CL at a savings of $3200, with the discount, the BWI deluxe drops to $6100ish because of the no discounts on weekends; so it looks like it is a savings of 13-1400 at the BWI and even though it would be 3200 at the GDT, we are back at the BWI deluxe CL; having Lene, Lorenzo, Brittany, Joe, Anita, etc are worth the lesser discount; and since its only green paper and you cant take it with you, why not spend it in the middle of the magic :P ;

That’s so funny because my DS said recently he’s looking forward to playing games in the lounge during our upcoming AKL trip. I explained that Chronos was the only lounge that had that provided games, but it gave me the idea to bring our own!! We still have a trip prior to that one, but I threw some card games into my toiletry bag so I don’t forget them!! They want me to bring Monopoly, since that’s what we enjoyed playing most there, but there’s no way I’m packing that big box! lol Maybe you can bring a couple of small toys in a bag to bring with you to keep the lounge fun for your DS!! Enjoy it!

Yeah, that's what I am thinking now, hearing that there are no toys! That's a great idea! Thank you, and I hope you have a wonderful trip as well! I definitely want to get the kids to AKL one of these days, haven't been there in years!

I wasn’t sure the best place to ask, but I’m hoping someone here might know.

Does anyone know if you can use a VIP tour for any type of Eat to the Beat concert benefit? Front row seats? Backstage passes? (Kidding, but not really. :rolleyes1)

Not sure how I feel about using tour time for the show, but I’d consider it if there was a significant advantage.

Thank you!

I don’t have personal experience with that specific ask but IMO that may fall into the category of “nothing official but ask when you meet your guide that day and maybe they can work something out.” I would think a good, well connected guide could make a few calls and make it happen, but I’m just guessing there so don’t take it as fact.

And you should probably ask in a dedicated thread just to get more eyeballs on it, but be prepared for the onslaught of people judging how you’re spending your tour time! 😂 I’m always amazed at how some people can be so critical on the topic - it’s your time and money - do what works for you!

I feel like it’s the kind of thing that I think would be such an amazing experience when I’m at home planning, but I feel like I would be so awkward if it were able to happen…is that really what I’d want Boyz II Men to think of me??? Hahaha!

I might ask our guide, but not really push too hard.

Lol! To be fair, I was thinking “reserved seats” when answering your question, not the backstage part… but hey, dream big! :-)

PS: I’m guessing you must really like Boyz II Men?!?

Hilarious! Go big or go home is my motto!!

Boyz II Men pretty much provided the soundtrack to all of my middle school and high school relationships. So much drama! So much time thinking that some random crush was dedicating that song to me on the Sunday night request and dedication show on the local radio station! They were also my first concert. It’s hard not to look back fondly. :cloud9:

And not to mention that the songs are incredibly catchy. II was a solid album. I might not remember what I had for dinner last night, but I can still easily recite the spoken word part during ‘On Bended Knee’.

I love reading VIP tour threads, fascinating, but I have to limit myself to 😲 faces and not post anything else :jester: I know my limitations.

Why not email Disney Signature Services and ask?

disney.signature.services@disneyworld.com

Hope you have fun on your tour no matter how you spend it!

Wanted to close the loop in case this ever comes up for anyone else - VIP Tour Guides currently have no access for viewing or experiences for Eat to the Beat concerts.
