Anyone stay GF RPC recently? What have the desert offerings looked like?

I agree. You can't view Harmonious from BWI. I stayed in the room directly opposite the lounge. From the balcony you can look right and see the high fireworks. You're not really seeing Harmonious. Assuming you're otherwise going to be at the resort it is a pleasant way to enjoy a drink. From the rooms, no. You can't even see enough of them from the lounge to make it worth watching from there.
The best view I've had from BWI was our room at the very end of the resort, next to the last room, 4203. It's higher, so you are mostly over the trees. Still have no view of the lake but it's better than any other spot at BWI, and I've tried just about all spots.
You would miss so much of them that honestly, it's not worth even trying to watch from the resort. Not something as spectacular as the 4th (or equally as massive as NYE)
It's worth going IN the park.
At a conference in Orlando now and staying at the Rosen Centre, switching to YC CL tomorrow. Have lobbied HARD to switch over later today, but DH not biting. What’s with these non-Disney people??

It’s an unique experience. The animals are so nice . I never cared for zoos but morning coffee withI'm staying at AKL club level for the first time next Spring...my sense is in terms of the food and the views, it might be a step above a few of the others. Is that fair?

Hmmmm! “Why don’t you uber over tomorrow, hon?”Sounds like a good time for a solo night at YC CL to me.![]()
The one L shaped I had twice. However I keep looking for differences. Mainly the home plate one has a closet in the living room. I did ok without because I had the whole living area to myself on one trip and 2nd it was just me and dh.For the Gran Destino club level deluxe suites, it looks like the lakeside rooms are L-shaped, whereas the porte cochere side rooms are shaped like home plate. Any thoughts on the difference? Just the room layout, not the view. Thanks
Disney or bust for me!At a conference in Orlando now and staying at the Rosen Centre, switching to YC CL tomorrow. Have lobbied HARD to switch over later today, but DH not biting. What’s with these non-Disney people??
Same- My husband makes like every 3rd or 4th trip. My parents and siblings are super into Disney so we have a regular crew thankfully lol. My kids are definitely on the Disney bandwagon as well.I feel ya, I'm married to a non disney person to.. Fortunately my kids take after me. Glad I'm not alone. We did our first trip without him last year and loved it. Sure, I missed him but we had the best time lol. Definitely plan on doing it again.Same- My husband makes like every 3rd or 4th trip. My parents and siblings are super into Disney so we have a regular crew thankfully lol. That’s too bad. When we were there in August, the food was on a 3 night rotation. We're back from a recent 5-night stay at the BC. The CM did everything in their power to make sure the guests were enjoying themselves. They even went out of their way when a family member had a medical emergency.
In terms of the lounge itself, there was never anything that we were wowed by or felt that we couldn't get else where. We had a repeating menu back-to-back nights, which unfortunately was a meal that we didn't care for the night before.
While CL was substantial for what it is, I don't think it currently warrants the cost for my family.
My CR cl stays i for called about a week prior. I’m not sure of your dates?Because of availability when we booked, we have a split stay. 2 nights BWI CL and 2 nights CR Tower CL.
I received the call from BWI in advance, which I find to be a nice touch. I was asked about any food restrictions, and I mentioned being vegetarian. I was offered to speak with the Chef, which I declined. (I view my diet as a lifestyle choice and not a severe allergy, so I take the approach that it’s on me to figure out.) We wrapped the call, and minutes later, I was contacted by the chef. Incredibly gracious. Reviewed my preferences and assured me I would have options at meals and gave me his contact info should I need any additional help. I was totally blown away. Way above and beyond the service that I would have expected or needed - especially for a 2 night stay!!
I haven’t heard a peep from CR.
Now, we haven’t started our trip yet, so clearly I’m withholding judgment, but that is my anecdotal account so far.
That’s why I canceled my cl stay at BC and have a woods view. My 2 nights are at rack rate. It’s just too much of a bump. We're back from a recent 5-night stay at the BC.
