Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Good morning from RPC. Other than the afternoon offerings and Abdul not here everything is as wonderful as always. The Nespresso machine is still here and for those wondering they had chicken nuggets last night. I'll leave the food pics for trishadono, she does a great job with that.
Abdul needs to be there for you guys, adding that extra special CL touch he gives!

Just wanted to say thanks to those posting about their CL stays. I appreciate your time. It's so nice of you to show us all how things are going.

Will admit that I've been nervous about my upcoming RPC stay (enough to book BLT as backup, which bums me out - but RPC just ain't cheap), so I'm extra appreciative for those posts :). But now I'm pretty excited about BWI next year!!!!!

I also wanted to say how much I appreciate the general kindness in this thread. Hope you all have an awesome day.

We switched our Thanksgiving trip to mid-January just so we could guarantee club level at at least one of our favorite resorts. With a 6 year old and one year old the convenience of club level is so important to us! I never could get fully excited about the Thanksgiving trip, and I think the lack of CL was why. Now that we have switched dates I am finding my Disney spark has come back and I am eagerly planning away!

Thanks to everyone who posts pictures and thoughts on their recent CL stays. It’s what finally convinced me to make the switch!

I have a CL split stay. Anyone know how early you can go to the club level at the new hotel?

I did ask : we move to gf tomorrow but mfuture sil arrives tomorrow. I can still visit BWI later tomorrow! I saw olive loaf and he loves that. So maybe gf cl then uber to bwi? Fun to see the differences.

Scary but feel like gf bottom of the barrel lately.

Akl and Bwi both exceeded expectations !

Loving these pics and comparisons. We are staying BWI and CR (barring an unforeseen GF discount) after staying exclusively at the GF the last few years. So watching along closely!

Do you mind to elaborate on your experiences? We are taking our four to stay in CL for the first time (WL) in January and I'm excited to see how this could make our trip better. They've all been to Disney once before, but the twins were only 19 months old. They will be 4, 4, 7, and 10. I'm a little worried about our "spirited" crew being obnoxious to all the other CL guests expecting a calming upscale lounge! (They are generally well behaved, but there's four of them, it gets a little loud and exciting when Mickey is involved)

Late reply to your question, I’m sorry!

You have a big crew! I’m assuming you’re in a WL Deluxe Room - would love to hear your thoughts about it/how well all of you fit when you get back.

In my experience, there are always plenty of families/kids in the lounges, no matter the resort (with the exception . WL is nice in that there are separate areas/little spots to spread out. The “kids tables” are sort of in one area (with a TV to keep them occupied as you prepare plates) and the adults can sit back/keep an eye on them at other tables. Or folks looking to get away from kids all together can go find tables along the lobby railing. It’s a pretty good all around spot in this regard.

I generally see an occasional family or two that’s a little on the loud/rambunctious/‘I wouldn’t let my kids act like that’ side - but at Disney I try to have some grace/mind my own business… everyone who has travelled with little ones knows the occasional stresses of over-tired/over-stimulated kiddos. And we could have very well been ‘that family’ a time or two and didn’t realize it, no matter how much I try to stay on their behavior.

As for CL with little ones… this is going to sound snooty, but for us a huge part of the CL benefit is not having to “think” about breakfast, a glass of water, an occasional beer or wine - simple stuff. With no CL and a crew of kids, you’re left with quick service or the resort store. Simple things like a cup of coffee in the AM can become a chore as some resorts are more spread out than others. With CL, DW and I can much more effectively “manage” things - getting ready, getting a workout in, feeding the kids, mid-day naps/rest time, etc. Small conveniences here and there add up to value, in my opinion.

Probably more than you wanted, sorry I got long winded. :-)

This is exactly why we moved our trip to make sure club level was available. The convenience with kids is a lifesaver!

Definitely exactly what I wanted, thank you! We are staying in a deluxe room, I will take pics and report back! We have two that will probably be in pack n plays.....so it might be a tight fit 😂 we were "spoiled" with staying at the Poly last time, in 2019 with two that couldn't walk and a four year old that had no stamina at all, and decided that it was worth the money to us for the convenience of location, especially until everyone can carry their own crap and walk independently 🤣. Doing this CL deluxe was the cheapest (acceptable) option for us, because we'd need two rooms otherwise. I think you made great points about just managing everyone, and all the food. We usually have to have a grocery order but this will probably be a great substitute for that. Tastier too! DH is never super excited about vacation but when I asked him if he wanted me to keep an eye out for discounts at another resort to save some money he was like nah, let's keep the club level hahaha

Trish, thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures. You have me looking forward to our trip in February. Did you see Lorenzo this morning ?
Yep! He was fun as usual !
I recognized Kathy from my last stay, very nice lady.

So we have arrived to rpc. Same as others currently with midday packaged snacks.

Akl and BWI both had HOT freshly made appetizers. Sorry, but if I get to lounge at 5p and there’s only those cold chicken or beef kabobs that just doesn’t cut it. Not at these Rack Rate prices!

Chatted with Mejay a bit, desk cm. She’s so sweet! Patty is back to gf after a short time at akl. She came right over, nice to see a familiar face. I didn’t recognize anyone else however.

Housekeeping? Samong(sp?) was the best! Unfortunately she retired,

More later!
