Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I would love a room service breakface too. We normally do a sit down dinner. I love cl for the breakfast. Just a quick walk, no going out, and we have food and coffee. I like popping in for snacks and drinks too. I never want to hit a food court for breakfast again lol. It spoils me. I don't mind the rest of the day but breakfast is huge. It's a big time saver.

It would never work because the room count is too high (assuming normal CL capacity) but the CLs could always do something like they do in the Tonga Suites for breakfast.... a limited order-ahead menu of breakfast offerings, drop off your selection the night before with CL CMs, delivered as room service the next morning.

Again, logistical nightmare, but just a thought. Tonga Toast (or Mickey Waffles, etc) can make amends for a lot of things. :goodvibes
This is exactly what I came back to this thread to wonder about. But I do wonder if the room count is really too high to offer this. If folks travel the way that I am planning to (and the way I read your other post about coming mainly to enjoy the Poly pool :) ) I can see the resorts needing to staff up for a higher demand for in-room dining.

If not all CL guests are ordering at the same time, I think the very least Disney could do is offer the Tonga style complimentary room service for CL guests. Otherwise, like many others have said, we’d just opt for a standard room and use the savings on the room rate to order room service. But to be clear - room service breakfast would not be enough for us. We’d want the real Tonga option where you can order what you want when you want it from a limited menu of legitimate choices - not just grab and go cold stuff.

I realize most of the Disney staff is furloughed at the moment, but there are a limited number of employees still working.
Has anyone with an upcomming CL stay reached out the concierge to ask what they're considering doing?

I have not but I can tell you what they'd tell me if I did right now.....nothing. lol I think right now all you can do is email them though. I'm just hoping they make it clear exactly what changes there will be so the first wave of guests aren't surprised on arrival.

Yes many have tried but there has been very limited response to emails. The bulk of DSS if not all have been furloughed.

All responses that I have seen posted here related to cancellations (refunds). No update on making any new Paid FPs, future CL plans or any real future related information from someone answering DSS emails.

I have just received this from Signature Services, in response to an e mail sent about a month ago. My stay begins 3

‘Thank you for contacting Disney Signature Services. We look forward to assisting you with your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

We have noted your interest in this experience. At this time, we are unable to book future club level FastPasses until we have a re-opening date. However, once normal operations resume, a Disney Signature Services Cast Member will contact you to discuss your vacation plans based on your arrival date.

We look forward to seeing you’

Good news or not? I am not sure. 🤔

That is the automatic response that has been going out since since they closed. You are now in a very long queue of email waiting for the DSS team when they get back from furlough.

Dave
I started to email them about our upcoming trip and decided better to just wait until they're actually available by phone- hopefully soon!

Okay. I received a different automated response when I first e mailed...

DSS was mostly laid off too it seems. Just a skeleton crew answering emails like a week after they’re sent.

2nd might have been. Maybe the person responding has an auto response now they can select for CLFP inquiries.

Just thinking out loud here....I'm not so sure a continental type pre-order breakfast would work. We took a disney cruise last year and they have free room service 24/7 but at breakfast you HAVE to fill out this little form the night before and indicate what you want and approx time you want it. It worked beautifully. Just FYI for anyone that goes on a Disney cruise. They'll send enough of EVERYTHING you order for the people in your room (or maybe I did something wrong) So picture my face thinking I had ordered 1 fruit cup, 1 croissant, 1 donut, 1 muffin, 1 OJ, 1 milk and 1 cup of coffee when I opened the door and this guy is standing there with 4 times that!!! All I could do is die laughing thinking what on earth did I order?! Everything had it's own plate and cloche, it was a ridiculous amt of food. Anyways, my point is, this seems like it could be done very easily.

And the saga continues because apparently theme parks can follow their own set of rules.... from the orange county task force....Theme parks and other venues of that magnitude shall each develop their own specific and unique set of guidelines following the CDC recommendations and using best practices that will protect the life, health, and safety of their employees and guests. They will be permitted to open at their own discretion with their internally determined level of safe capacities throughout the various phases.

It pretty much throws out the guidelines put out yesterday and we’re back to waiting on Disney.

Makes sense. Task force recommendations will be guidelines but they have to balance that with what is operationally feasible.

Yes. I’m not one to beat around the bush. I sent them an email yesterday asking if the lounge food services will remain the same or not. I also asked about CLFP, because I have a short stay and was interested in it. I have not heard back. I’ll post what I hear, but I bet it will be the canned response. It doesn’t sound like they have enough employees working currently ( not criticizing- just a rather obvious observation ).

P.s. - first world problems - I love the self serve cappuccino maker. If that goes away, I would be very sad.

Ditto on the cappuccino maker, I'd marry it if it were human.
