Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We don’t really do CL to save on food costs. It’s the convenience and relaxed atmosphere, being outside the parks that I love about the offering in the lounges. There’s nowhere else I can sit in the peace and quiet of my balcony, eating crepes and sipping on mimosas

Same here :).

Tonga Toast (or Mickey Waffles, etc) can make amends for a lot of things. :goodvibes

::yes::

I just spoke with the nicest cast member who helped me book CL at Yacht Club for March 2021. :-) It will be our first CL stay.

Besides the food and drink offerings, what do you enjoy about staying Club Level?

So excited!

YC CL is very nice, you will like it! I love just sitting and relaxing in the lounge during non food service times. It's usually quiet and peaceful and is a great way to wind down :goodvibes.

And the rest of the list:
  • Remove all coffee makers from guest rooms
  • Remove all guest collateral items, except for those that are single use
  • Sanitize guest keys before and after each use
  • Sanitize bell carts after each year
  • Phase 1 & 2: No conferences

One interesting note for hotels:

Thank you for posting.

Club level might opt to individually box up pastries, fruit, etc.
Seems to me they'll also need a server on hand at all times.

The destiny of the cappuccino machines will be interesting. Don't think they want to man that one and will take their cue from what the quick service locations do with the self serve soda, coffee and tea stations.

Removal of the coffee makers from the DVC rooms has me upset. When not staying club I desperately need that drip coffee maker to wake up to.

Thanks for sharing that info. Some interesting stuff being tossed around - all important conversation prior to actually setting required guidelines for re-opening day at WDW/Universal. Seems like many of the things are common sense. Others are going to be tougher to incorporate (like 6' queue spacing, especially once you're on some of the attractions). Some might have legal issues even - the one that strikes me is those 65+ encouraged to stay home? And not work?? Age is just one of many risk factors for being his hard by the virus.

But the good news is it seems they are having the conversations. Talk through it, come up with some options, and have the plans ready to go when Florida says it's OK to re-open!

Coffee makers aren’t huge for us, we’d just bring our own. How they’re handling food service CL is. I won’t keep my reservation if it’s just prepackaged foods.

Just thinking, as a temporary alternative, club level could also assemble room service B/L/D kits for each time of day and drop off at the rooms that request it.
The hard part here is meats and dairy items go bad unless allowed room access to refrigerate the items. Okay, scrap this idea, there's too much man power involved here even without the risk of spoiled food.

I might have to pack a small keurig which may not be a huge problem in that we're already accustomed to supplying our own coffee and creamer.

The most acceptable to me is if they made it cafeteria style with CM's serving. It loses a little bit of the luxury of it with paper plates and plastic utensils- a small thing I know, but it's the small things that make CL what it is.

A small Keurig works great. We bring that when staying non CL. We’ve also brought a French press and electric kettle too. Gotta have that morning coffee!

I completely agree!!! At SL last summer, I watched a little boy lick his fingers and then picked up the serving spoon to get dip. I quickly asked the CM for another serving spoon to replace that one! Eeewwww!
I've seen adults doing that, but not even using the serving spoons. It's so gross.
I'm not against self serve buffets becoming a thing of the past. Hire more servers.

Keep family service style ones around though.

I agree :)

I wouldn't mind at all if the CM just served anyway

Me either :goodvibes
