Here now at AKL CL, happy to answer any questions!
Realize you are not there now, but we are headed there in July. Any recommendations on best room locations/viewing and foods? How long were you there? Thanks so much.

DSS couldn't do anything for me. I was a little disappointed in the way they said no not the fact it is a no. I asked about Rivers of Light dinning for October since it isn't on the website. I know previously the resort specific people would at least confirm to you that it is still on their schedule and it should come out soon so they'll put it on your file to book when available but I got a response of it is not yet bookable and will need to call or email again to check at a later date. I asked about Bon Voyage and instead of just saying unfortunately unavailable the response made me feel stupid for even asking because they replied that it is a brand new offering and has been bookable through them for several weeks so there is no way I can get a reservation now. Thankfully I do have on for our last day but just wanted to see if DSS had openings for earlier in our trip.
We will be staying in Hawaii during our upcoming trip--standard room. We will have up to 8 devices that will need to be charged in our room during our trip (iphones, iPads and headphones). Do we need to pack a power strip?
Since it seems like it is not just me with problems with DSS, does anyone know where to make a complaint. Disney prides the self on great service, but when you pay extra for that service and get told call yourself, we can't do it, or we will get back to you and never do, that is poor costumer service, but I feel they even lied to me, they could not get horsebackriding for the time I wanted, but half hour later I was able to get it exactly for that time, they could not get Spirit of Aloha, but I was able to. I pay extra because I don't want to spend every lunch on the phone with Disney, they should just do away with the service like in DL, and lower the price for CL. I understand them doing that, but lying just does not go over well with me.

wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.comYou can always write the guest services email address (unfortunately I don't have it handy) and email email the VP of Hotel if you think it warrants that. Again I don't have that email but I'm sure someone does.
Bailey's is my fave - they did NOT have it at YC when we were there in April, although I know you're more interested in Atrium Club. They had something that they said was similar, but not so much...
Was it possibly Amarula? That's what they had at AKL CL, too, and I agree - it just isn't the same!

We are staying at RPC GF for the first time. Do they still have greeters or do we check in at the front desk? Any suggestions for room request? We would prefer a theme park view.
I think maybe? Does Amarula have an elephant on the bottle? They told me it was "just like Bailey's" but that was an untruth! However, I adapted!

Is it fair of me to be annoyed by these two points on our current stay at BWI CL?
I asked for a glass of Cabernet, he asked me if that was white, I said that it was red, he went into the back, poured me a glass of Chardonnay, he handed it to me, I said that I asked for a Cabernet, at which point he told me that they don't do red wine until 5pm. Weird... considering I got Cabernet Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon. Is this standard?
Also, no one greeted us at the front on Sunday. We arrived by car. This is the second time staying at CL that this has happened. Had to go to front desk, find someone, and then we were taken upstairs.
Am I wrong for just being irritated by these points?
So I called SS today to see if they could get my MVMCP tix for me when they finally go on sale. After waiting for 5 minutes to talk to a real person I was told no they can't do that since they haven't been released yet and that they don't do the private tix events. I stupidly accepted that answer and let her go. I was still half asleep so probably my fault that I didn't tell her that I would put a CC on file for them to use when tix go on sale. Has anyone had success with them getting your party tixs?
What is Bon Voyage?
I'd keep expectations somewhat low for an actual greeter out front, but just start telling everyone you encounter that you're checking in CL. They should escort you up to RPC to check-in at the CL desk, but your mileage may vary.
TPV rooms in RPC are a bookable view category. If you booked a TPV room, you'll have a TPV. But if you booked one of the other view categories you won't have any TPV given the configuration of the building, although I could see tiny slices of MK and Wishes from my standard room last Feb (definitely nowhere near enough to be considered a TPV room).
If you can say which view cateogory you have, that will help folks provide good input on room requests.![]()
I booked a standard room online and the description was listed as "Views of Courtyard Pool, Magic Kingdom Park or Seven Seas Lagoon"
Oh, how I miss Don and Juanita!
Does anyone here know their whereabouts?
I also have been disappointed in DSS.
