Help me decide CCV or BRV?

We have a trip coming up and are doing a split stay with 3 nights at Wilderness Lodge. That will be our first experience staying in the Main building, not Copper Creek I know, but hopefully that will help me decide.
The CCV studios are the same size as the regular hotel rooms at WL, so that should help. The BRV studios are larger.

I'm just here to say how very, very much I love BRV. I couldn't even think of buying anywhere else for my first contract. Buy where you love as long as you are okay with the limitations. I'm perfectly fine with the 2042 expiration so it wasn't an issue for me.

They are both in the main building, but I assume CC rooms are nicer than the lodge? So I'll get to experience being in the main building but not what the CC rooms are like.
BRV is a separate building from the main lodge. There is a covered walkway between them, but it is not in the lodge itself. CCV is about half of the main lodge. The CCV rooms originally were hotel rooms and were converted. CCV also includes individual cabins on the water. Because the cabins rent for very high points, many of those with small contracts end up competing for smaller rooms, like the studios.

We are thrilled to be BRV owners. I love access to the main lodge, but BRV is just cozier and more relaxing. Also the pool is far more peaceful. :)

We are big BRV fans and stay there every other year or so. WL is a wonderful resort. The recent renovation at BRV was beautifully done. We like that it is in a separate building with a lovely lobby of its own with fireplaces, rocking chairs, and window seats. We can head out the back door of the BRV building to get to the pool or Geyser Point. It’s an easy walk to the bus stop. We enjoy the eateries and the lovely ambience. It’s a magical place for us. We’ve never had the opportunity to stay at CCV and I’m sure it’s very nice as well.

Presumably CCV would have residual value in 2042, perhaps even significant value. Nobody knows for sure, however.
What we do know (for sure? I think so from the POS) is in 2042 & beyond, CCV points can still book AKV, AUL, BLT, OKW, PVB, SSR, VGF, and theoretically VGC.

Even if you could “only” book CCV with CCV points beyond 2042 that’s pretty much always going to have value.

I looked at contracts for both BRV and CCV when we bought. At the time (6-9 months ago) for small contracts in our UY there was only about a $15pp difference between the two so as much as I was leaning towards BRV the logical side of me won out due to the longer CCV contract year. Maybe browse listings for both and see what looks good?

Stayed in 1 BR at BRV but have not stayed at CCV. Absolutely loved BRV.
Although that 2042 use year has me tempted to sell my 50th and use what I get toward a longer contract

Right now, the regular rooms in the WL are a bit nicer than CCV since they were renovated during covid. CCV is in need of some "touching up", I believe some sort of refurbishment is coming soon. The pull out sofas definitely need to be gone! That said, I still love CCV and BRV.

You think like I do, but all our memories with the kids are from Boulder Ridge so I keep leaning that way even though my brain says not to!

We have 8 (yes 8) BRV contracts, none over 70 points. There may not be too many out there on the resale market right now, but there are plenty of them in circulation.
That is good to know. I talked to a resale agent today, he was very nice, and said the same, that smaller contracts exist we just need to have patience. We are in no rush (took us this long to even decide we would do it, lol).

We are likely to be able to spend 2 nights at the end of August in a 1 BR in either Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge. Anyone have any strong feeling as to which would is the better option (family of 4, split stay before being at Beach Club for a few nights beforehand)

I’ve never stayed in CC but we’ve stayed many times in Boulder Ridge and loved it. It’s a short (covered) walk from the main lodge. Being in it’s own building its more quiet and the elevator less busy. They have rockers outside where you hear Disney crickets at night.

We did a mixed stay between BRV and CCV for our family reunion and due to the murphy bed at BRV I'd give the slight nod to that one. For our family of 4 I'd just splurge for a 2BR at CCV and IMO I like that option a bit more. I love the remodel at BRV but CCV has the edge for me and I love how it's split right in the middle of those two awesome pools. Also closer to the food and such.

BRV does have it's charm. I stalk the resale market all the time. Still more likely to buy CCV points but if BRV dropped to the 70s or lower I'd be tempted to buy there.

Resurrection..

I was looking for BRV to fit a family of five into studio rooms.
But stumbled across a great deal private resale at 250/250/250 Dec UY at 125$ppt for CCV. 2024 dues all paid for by seller.

is the good deal worth ever fitting into two studios when we go? Or is that just silly of me to think this way?

I hate to pass up a good deal
