Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Question about grocery delivery… does CBR charge when groceries are delivered? Is the charge per package or per delivery? I am seeing different information in different places.

What is the easiest way to transport groceries back to the room? Are there carts available?

Also, Amazon does not seem to recognize 1114 Cayman Way as the address. Is there another I should use?

Thank y

We always use Garden Grocer for groceries and when you check out you can select your Disney resort and CBR as one of the options so you don't have to put in the actual address. They already know/have it. They have never charged us for holding our groceries. They used to deliver them to the rooms but don't do that anymore. They are now just held by the bell hop at the front entrance to the hotel and we typically just give them a small tip when they bring them out to us. There aren't luggage carts available as far as I know unless you want bell services to bring them to you and then you would just need to tip them.

There were luggage carts available when I was there in March.

Has anyone seen a photo of where a pack and play might go? I can’t imagine where it would fit in the room and it not being right in the way!

I saw in a video that CBR has fire pits. We are going Jan 2022 with a group of 25ish. Most of us (19 so far) are staying at CBR. Is there any way to reserve an area of beach or a fire pit for our family? We were thinking a welcome event with some snacks would be fun in the evening one night.

We have only stayed in the 5th sleeper pull down murphy bed rooms. Not sure what type of room you'll be in and if there is any significant size difference in the other rooms without the 5th sleeper but I would suspect you may have a few options. You could put the pack and play in the bathroom sink area but that could be a deal breaker if anyone has to use the bathroom and whether or not you can squeeze by but might be nice since you could close the bathroom curtain. You could also play around with moving the small table all the way towards the window/AC unit and place the pack and play at the foot of the bed. It will fit, it will just be tight.

Apologize if this has been answered and I missed it, but the January 2022 skyline refurbishment, do we know if it's all the skyline closed or should it still go to Hollywood Studios? The description makes it sound like the Hollywood line is still open but doesn't specify exactly.

COVID exception....normally, luggage carts are not available. You can ask but now they will probably tell you that you can either pick them up and carry the, or they can deliver. You may get lucky but I wouldnt count on it, it's not the norm.

Do you mean just for groceries? Or for luggage too?

In general, guests who need assistance with their luggage or bags are directed to Bell Services for assistance and luggage carts are not lent to guests. Different resorts and different CMs go about it differently but in general the carts are designated to be used by Bell Services only.

You'd probably have to talk to the department that handles groups or events. There's not a way to reserve beach space or a fire pit normally, but given the size of the group, they may be able to coordinate something with the team that handles groups/conventions. CBR is not a convention resort, but I imagine there are weddings or other events at times.

Regarding luggage carts and deliveries........

Came back Monday night, the luggage service and grocery delivery did not go well for us unfortunately. Very slow in getting our luggage delivered, lost a suitcase which was eventually found and then they said our Walmart delivery was not delivered even though my sister had the delivery confirmation. They found one box hours later and the second one two nights later after numerous visits to them by my brother-in-law.

We just got here tonight around 6:10. We had ordered food from Centertown Market on the car ride in. We dropped our bags off with bell services and then went to eat. Fish tacos were excellent! While we were eating, our Walmart order was delivered to bell services. After we were done eating, bell services took us, our luggage, and our groceries to our room in a van. Second time I’ve had groceries ordered and they delivered us, our luggage, and our groceries to our room all at once. Super easy!

Great to know. Thank you.

How is the resort so far?

Are they letting people eat in at the Centertown Market or do we have to mobile order to go?
