Yes. We usually get bottled water, fill up our mugs & save the water for later.
We do this too. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't something that only POFQ did since I read that it depended on the QS location.

Speaking of not liking your assigned room, are there any rooms that you you have been given that were terrible?

We have had an issue with our room assignments twice, neither time at CBR. Both times we requested connecting rooms because it was myself, my wife and 5 kids under 12. The one time our 2 rooms were not even in the same building. The other time we were in the same building but different floors. Both times we had to wait until halfway through our trip to be able to move closer to each other. But never did get connecting rooms.

Other than that, we have never been assigned a terrible room at WDW. And we've had close to 100 nights at WDW resorts over the years.

I just returned from CBR and, while not a bad experience, I will most likely stay elsewhere in the future as I simply don't care for the overall layout of the resort and the inconvenience of DME buses going through Customs House (personal preference).

Not meant as complaints, but a few of my experiences/observations follow. My room requests were not granted, but I was able to switch at check-in to something fairly close. I did online check-in but was still directed to meet with a CM at check-in which didn't really save any time. Although it was arranged, I never received a text with my room assignment and had to ask to obtain the information. The USB ports in my room did not work (connections were rather loose fitting) and required my use of an adapter plug, so best bring it just to be safe. The refrigerator was in need of cleaning (often overlooked by housekeeping in the room cleaning process) and minor repair as the freezer door had been broken off.

My room was fairly quiet, even with a non-requested pool view. Aside from the refrigerator, housekeeping did a good job with cleaning. Buses were rarely an issue with average wait times at most. The new decor is pleasant and CMs were always helpful.

This is our one request we had the CM add when I modified/switched to CBR - connecting rooms. I am praying we get it given the girls are all under 12. As much as I would also love to put in a request for one of the locations noted here for proximity purposes, I don't dare add anything else on because it is extremely vital we get the connecting rooms. I will probably call one week prior just to reiterate.

Me too! Not sure why, but I think I'm a little unsure since we have opted to try the online check-in with the text option.
Same here. Maybe I have this idea of how easy it could be and then something going wrong? Anyway, it feels silly because there is nothing I can do about it on my end. Why stir up trouble when there is none?

Are there towels at the main pool and quiet pools? Should I pack towels for the pool?

I think you guys are confusing Bell Services with Magical Express luggage delivery. Bell Services will not deliver luggage to your room unless you are actually in the room, how else would you be able to tip them? ;) If you use the Magical Express luggage delivery, you do not need to be in the room as their tip is included in the price they charge Disney. And they do state that if you use the Magical Express luggage delivery it COULD take up to 3 hours after you check in for your luggage to show up in your room.

I hope that clears things up.

Just wanted to second this based on our personal experience at both WDW and DL. My husband confused magical express delivery with bell services delivery once at WDW, creating a bit of grumpiness for him on that one occasion. CMs at WDW resorts always remind us that we need to be present for Bell Services luggage delivery.

I hope you find another resort to you fall in love with! Where else have you stayed that you loved?

I'd jot a little note and ask that the fridge be cleaned next time or call the front desk. I don't want anything yucky to deal with even a fridge. Ugh to the USB ports! Those things are glorious with all the electronics I have, yet amazingly few adapter plugs. :confused3

I know someone answered but, every time we have been there have been towels at the main pool and not at the quiet pools. Maybe something changed since December?? You can always ask for extra towels if you want to go to the quiet pool. You could also snag some from the main pool when leaving OPR.

We were at CBR 10 days ago and there were only towels at the main pool. When we were at OPR, we would just grab some towels and take them to the quiet pool near our room.

I usually get a gatorade drink and the snack and just eat the meal, then put the gatorade and snack in the fridge to save for later. Use the cup for iced tea and the such. Saves us on the snack portion of DDP.
