If we grab lunch or dinner at Old Port Royale, we'll obviously be using our mugs. What can we get as our beverage on the dining plan? Is it anything that is bottled or are we limited to soda, tea, or water?

Yep, you can get bottles!

Does anyone have a picture of the surrey bikes? Has anyone rented one? Can I fit two adults, two 8 year olds, a small 7 year, and a 2 year old in one?
I think they seat 4 adults. You might be able to put two kids and one adult in each seat. It didn't look like many kids could actually reach the pedals FYI so the adults will be doing a lot of work to move that many around :)

My son and his friend are almost taller than me. I'm a shrimp.

Does anyone have any experience getting an extra snack in place of a bottled drink while using a counter service credit?

Not terrible no...but for the last 8 years of going to CBR I have never once gotten any request granted..while I understand its only a request I just want to speak to someone this time if it dosnt happen to check Im not on some kind of blacklist or something lol I mean seriously..please just give me it one time..lol

It does seem strange to me that you do not get requests honored when you are so loyal to CBR. I believe that I requested connecting rooms 22 years ago at CBR(it has been so long I am not sure) we were given adjoining. That was fine because we were traveling with my parents.

Since then we have stayed at POP 5 times, Movies twice and AoA once. Of these trips I only made requests 3 times. First POP 50s connecting rooms both requests granted. ASMovies near transportation somewhat honored we were close to Musics transportation. DH was ok with that because we had a king bed (not requested) Last month at POP I requested 60s and was given 80s. Our room was not ready and we had just driven 20 hours. The CM got us moved to a ready room in 50s.

What time do you tend to get in? maybe your requests were granted and someone else requested to be moved.

Hi all! 23 days and counting!:yay: Last time we stayed at CBR we requested Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51. We were placed in Jamaica 45 and loved it. This year I thought about requesting Martinique 22, followed by Jamaica 45. Has anyone stayed there and is it a good area? We want to be near a bus stop that is 1st and fairly close to OPR. I know that both areas are 1st for bus stops according to which entrance the bus comes in. I just wanted advice from someone who has experienced it.

We were in Martinique 23. Very easy walk around lake to to OPR. Our building was right by bus stop too so very convenient. The preferred buildings are closer to OPR and that bus stop. We had no issues with busses the time we were there. I had requested Martinique 22 but got 23. Not much of a difference really. Our room overlooked interior courtyard and was very quiet; the beds were wonderful! Better than Beach club (unrefurbished room) and RPR (Tower 3- unrefurbished).

Is there an order to the pick ups for the busses with so many stops I didn't know if it was worth being at a particular spot to make sure we get on. Plus were are traveling with two special needs kids and two elderly family members that will need to sit:)

We usually get in CBR about 5pm. Not too late I thought. Well hopefully this year..fingers crossed. I have let it fly in years past but not this time, def going to mention my displeasure. :)

From page 1:

Bus service to all four theme parks, the water parks and Downtown Disney runs approximately one hour prior to park opening and one hour prior to park closing. At least that’s the official word. I’ve seen them run earlier and later than those times. Buses run approximately every twenty minutes but are generally more frequent. Depending on your destination, you should budget between 45 minutes to an hour total travel time. This includes waiting on the bus, riding to the destination and walking to your destination after arriving.

The buses at the CBR take two different routes. If the buses arrive at the resort via the main entrance near The Custom House, the first stop would be Martinique, followed by Old Port Royale, Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Jamaica, Aruba and, lastly, Barbados.

If they arrive via the side entrance, Jamaica will be the first stop followed by Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, Old Port Royale, Trinidad North and, lastly, Trinidad South.

Each resort village has their own bus stop. There are a few benches in each stop along with a drink vending machine, trash and recycling cans, signage, a phone and an emergency defibrillator.

Read info. On laundry area if u plan on doing laundry to save time. I skimmed it. And come to find out there are only 2 washers in Jamaica area that will accept change. All the others use credit/debit cards. One of the 2 was jammed w quarters. I called maintenence. They said someone would be sent in next 30 min. To my knowledge 2 hrs later no one had been to fix it. Just come prepared w quarters and a debit or credit card if u dont want to have to backtrack to ur room.

Got here on Monday for our first CBR stay ever. We have a water view, and initially got Trinidad North, building 32. Not satisfied. The view was near the end of the lake, which is very narrow.
We called and got moved to Aruba 55 and LOVE it! It's a bit of a walk to Old Port Royale, but it's a beautiful walk, so all the better! We have a beach right in front of us and the view is amazing. VERY happy with this resort after 5 straight years at "our home", Coronado.
