Any idea when AC units will be replaced? I spoke with a CM last month. She reported they are in the process of upgrading them but wasn't sure of a completion date. Those units are so old and are the only things I dislike about this resort. TY!

Does anybody know if the lobby has good internet reception? I have some stuff I need to do on the computer and was wondering if there's internet at the lobby if the room's internet isn't working. Thanks!

Hi All!

My mom and I got back from our Disney vacation last night (SAD!!!)

All in all, we had a wonderful stay in the CBR. We requested to stay in Aruba or Jamaica and were placed in our water view Aruba 5230. It was a great location for getting to OPR. The walk was a little longer than I would have liked to get to the bus, but it was okay. Also, we were usually the 2nd stop for all buses going to the parks and coming home...so it was good to get a seat every time and to get dropped off so quickly when coming home.

I have to make one comment about the smoking, as I know others mentioned this previously. For the most part, I saw people utilizing the designated smoking areas (which if you are a smoker, thank you for going to those areas!).

However, the people in the room next door to us smoked outside their room multiple times a day where the smoke would travel from the outside into our room through the air conditioner/vents...and it was a very strong smell...I would be laying in bed and smelling smoke. The guests were crouched down sitting against their window smoking, so that they would not be seen by any worker walking by, because they were blocked by the trees. If you are a smoker, please use the designated areas...the vents really take the smoke into the rooms. We ended up complaining to the staff because it was so constant.

All in all, that was my only complaint. Otherwise, the service was great, view wonderful, the room was great and the bed was super comfy

We were there until Nov 5th in the room next door 5231. Thankfully we had no issues with people smoking but I definitely would have complained if we did. Loved the room and location but agree that the walk from the bus stop at the end of the night when you're tired was a little long. Sometimes we got off the bus at OPR when we were not the second drop off and didn't find the walk much longer from there.

1st off, that's mighty early to be posting

I can't comment on the internet in the lobby BUT we just got back and hubby absolutely had to have internet since he had to be able to check into work every night (aww the price of owning your own business, you can never truly leave it at home) and we were prepared to drive to a deluxe resort and camp out somewhere to use their internet ... they have larger "common areas" so more likely to find a quiet space. He NEVER had a problem with the connection in our room. Didn't matter the time of day or night he was able to work (urgh one night till after 1 )I brought my Kindle and the signal was stronger than it is in MY BED!

We just stayed in Martinique on 11/16-17. It looked like they were working on building 21. We were in 26 and had an old room. We didn't walk around much so I'm not sure what other buildings they may be working on.

I just wanted to chime in here on the smokers. DH and I smoke and we only smoke in designated areas. Everyone that smokes does not go around smoking where they are not supposed to! Sorry, just felt we were getting a bad rap here.

I think in general it is the old "few bad apples" rule applying here. I think most smokers are considerate, but there are a few...and honestly can't say about at WDW yet, but around here, it is the younger people that smoke that are more into flaunting the rules...pretty much a youthful thing to do anyway.

What a small world that you were so close to us!

I did end up complaining, because the woman definitely caught me watching her from our room and then would run away, but come back later to smoke. What made it even more annoying was that the smoking bench wasn't even far from our room...she couldn't walk the 50 feet

For those that are upset at the smokers, I'm wondering if you've said anything to management/security or whatever. It's one thing to complain after you've left, but I'm not one to shy away from calling the staff to complain while I'm there. Was anything done if you called the front desk/concierge?

We complained about the situation and also told them that there were cigarette butts outside of the neighboring room....the lady still continued to smoke. At first I felt bad complaining and hoped they would just give her a warning, however after we complained I saw more butts, now I really hoping she got stuck with the $500 fine.

Thank you! As I mentioned, majority of the people at the resort seemed to be adhering to the rules...and I really commend the people that stuck to them. Esp when it seems that most of the areas were right on the lake and had some pretty calming views!

All I really want is a refurbed room though. Hopefully we can at least get that, but a Murphy bed is what I really want! What do you think my chances are. Not good I'm betting.

Me too! We check in Dec. 21 and want to be near 3 other families plus in refurbished rooms. I will fax in requests and have already had them noted on our ressie, but am scared about recent reports!

I know this isn't really about cbr but does anyone know on average when magic bands will ship we will be at cbr December 12th to the 19th and my Magic bands haven't shipped yet

I am staying at CBR December 11-19. I just got a notice this morning that my bands were being shipped. Hopefully you'll get one soon.

Me to. I'm very sensitive to smoke. It aggravates my allergies and makes me nauseous if I am too close to it.

I'm asthmatic and it's very aggravated by smoke. In both of my previous stays at CBR I have not had any trouble with anyone smoking where they shouldn't be. Seems to just be some rude people there lately, but it's certainly not the norm.
