I have been counting months, weeks, days... We arrive Friday- but come Tuesday I'll start counting hours!!!!
I'm do excited I can hardly stand it!!!
Telling my 3 little girls Thursday night... Can't wait to finally let them in on the secret!!!

Thank you, we're having a great trip so far. The splash pad is still closed and my son does look at it every day since it is in view from the pool and we have to keep telling him it still isn't fixed. He is loving the pool and it does have two slides. One slide is a covered tunnel and kind of high. The other slide is more kid friendly for the smaller kids. My son tried both but the bigger slide scared him. He is only 4 though.

I doubt that my 2 youngest will even try those bigger slides...2 and 4

He only tried them because we went with him down them while the other one waited in the water to catch him. We leave Friday and I keep hoping the splash pad will get fixed early. Funny thing is you don't see no on working on it every time we've been to the pool. Maybe there waiting on a part or work on it from below.

Don't rule it out, my girls were that age when we took them the first time and LOVED the big slides! They are almost 6 and almost 4 now and can't wait to ride the Tower of Terror and the Yeti.

Talked to my agent Friday and she said the beds were doubles

That's what everyone on here has reported, but the person I responded to said they were updating the beds to queen. That's why I was asking where they got that info from since no one else has heard that.

One week from tomorrow!!!! It feels so weird saying that, I thought it would never come but today I ordered our Amazon Pantry box! My tummy is sort of doing cartwheels right now!

Does anyone know if they sell gallon or 1/2 gallons of milk at CBR store?
I'm ordering an amazon prime pantry box for water/pop but need some milk for my littlest one... That's the only perishable item so I hated to order thru garden grocery.

Yes they have the half gallon whole milk and quart 2%

Nervous about mixed info on playgrounds, BUT, I just realized, if she needs that type of downtime, she can play at any resort playground right?? I know we can use other pools, but can we use the playgrounds?? If so, what other resorts have them? We know AKL as that's where we discovered how much they help her. We are going into this with good attitudes, if a missing playground is the biggest of our concerns, our life is pretty great.

I'm pretty sure I read (and it could only be somewhere in this thread) when the pirate refurbs started, that they were being upgraded to queens by taking the bed apart and fitting a new base.

I know the splash pad is closed and access to the island is closed, although some reports are the you can still get to it on the one side but they are other playgrounds at the resort so you should be able to still use those.

Less than a week to go! Guess it's time to start packing! I appreciate all the updates re: splash pad...keep 'em coming. I'll try to do the same when I get there Sunday! Hopefully it will be up & running at least sometime next week. (crossing fingers)

There used to be playgrounds on several of the village beaches. I will go back through my pictures and see if they were there when we visited in May/June of this year. I honestly can't remember if they were. Guess that I wasn't paying close attention.

Those of you who are looking for playgrounds, be sure to visit the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids! playground inside Hollywood Studios. That was probably the highlight of the 10-day trip for our 6- and 8-year-olds!
