There used to be playgrounds on several of the village beaches. I will go back through my pictures and see if they were there when we visited in May/June of this year. I honestly can't remember if they were. Guess that I wasn't paying close attention.
Someone reported on here last week that none of the beaches currently have playgrounds.

Does anyone know if they sell gallon or 1/2 gallons of milk at CBR store?
I'm ordering an amazon prime pantry box for water/pop but need some milk for my littlest one... That's the only perishable item so I hated to order thru garden grocery.
Sarah, if they don't have the kind of milk you want, I'd be happy to pick some up for you! We are driving down and I have a trip to Publix planned already. I'll probably go Friday night after we check in (8pm or so), so if you are there before then, just let me know what you need!

Sharing mail I received today. We're staying Nov 13-20th. Feel free to delete if this has been posted (I didn't see it in recent comments).

I did not receive an email about the bridge closure like others did regarding our upcoming trip; however, I did receive a letter via US mail today talking about the bridge closure and the shuttle transportation and boat transportation available during the closure.

Edited to add: I see we both posted at the same time. That's the letter I received.

We are driving down at the end of October from Canada! I just read that you will be going to Publix before your trip, I am not familiar with all of the grocery stores near Disney. Is Publix the best place to go? Last time we stopped at Walmart on the drive to Disney. Any advice on the best place to buy groceries would be very helpful!:)

Chiming in. Publix is a grocery store, the ones I've been to near Disney & Universal have been very clean. A step up from Walmart in my opinion. And, a much better deli, bakery and prepared foods section. (I'm not a walmart fan, so I am a little biased) :)

Thank you so much for the reply! We do not have Publix where we live and the only store we recognized was Walmart (not a big fan either:scared:). I think Publix sounds better!

Oh my gosh! That is soooo nice of you!!!!
I get there at 1 on Friday! I'll inbox you! I tend to give her organic whole milk.
Thank you!!!!

On the fulls vs queens issue, a comment that came in on my site from Kathryn today:

"I stayed in building 36 last week. Still full beds, mattresses are memory foam."

Publix is definitely the place to go. We shop there regularly at home, so when I found there are a few near Disney, I was excited!

We'll be back on the Beach in just two days..can't say if I'll visit the DIS while I'm there (still haven't gotten the app;))
But if anyone has any questions, I'll see if I can find/see the answers.

I ordered my Amazon Pantry order yesterday and got the message than my box will be there on thursday......we don't arrive until next tuesday. I wanted to time it closer because I hate the idea of them having to store it for our arrival but the website said it would take 1 to 4 business days and I didn't want to chance it.

So, I wanted to verify. You can bring in water bottles to the parks, right? Do they need to be unopened?

I was there last week. There is definitely access to the playground on the island from the pool side of the island. They will be rebuilding the island bridge from the Jamaica/Aruba side to address ADR issues with the angle of incline. The intention is to lengthen the approach to the bridge to reduce the angle to the top of the bridge. The center height will remain the same to allow boat traffic beneath.

I want to chime in too! We will be there in 10 days - so excited and stressed all the same. I thought I was doing pretty good but now I am feeling that I still have so much left to do!

We bring in water, doesn't have to be empty or unopened. We bring reusable bottles (Klean Kanteens to be exact). Also, all quick service dining places will give you FREE ice water!

35 days out!! I can't wait!! A little concerned with the bridge issue but it it is what it is, I guess.

FYI, the DIS App no longer works now that they rolled out the new website. If, and only if, you wanted to keep up with the DIS you would just use the web browser on your phone.
