Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

We just got back from a stay in the Lion King suites. DD loved it!!! I thought it was great but I slept on the couch bed and found the fridge to be super noisy. It would turn on from time to time and wake me up. All in all, it was awesome and I loved the food court! From our room to the bus stop was less than a 5 minute walk.

I'm doing the online checkin right now and am just wondering if I should chose the option "Landscape view" if I want a pool view?

No, in order to get a view of the pool you would have to request pool view. Landscape view would give you just that, a view of a courtyard or of some landscaping.

That's what I would have guessed also, but it doesn't give me the option to request pool view :( Only landscape view or lake view.

I know. That's why I always recommend people call the main reservation line and have the CM add their room requests to your reservation. Then skip the request section during online check in. The options during online check in are predetermined and very limited.

Thanks. Do you know if it's possible to e-mail the requests to them? I don't live in the U.S. so calling would be very expensive.

Looking for suggestions on a request for Nemo section!! We were able to switch from Lion King to Nemo today (PTL) and we are so excited!! We will have 7 of us including a 5 month old, 8 yr old, 16 yr old and 4 adults. What would be a good building to request that is close to Main Hall, bus stop? Also, are the suites that face the pool really noisy? Just wondering if the pool noise comes through into those rooms.

I'm joining back in to this thread! We are headed back in February to a Cars suite! Stayed in LK last time and loved it. Hoping there haven't been too many changes!

I've read a few posts from people with rooms facing the pool saying that they did hear the noise from the pools and that it was a challenge to get their kids to go to sleep while that was going on. It didn't go late into the night -- just late for little kids trying to sleep. Both of the Nemo buildings are close to the main building but building 5 is closer to the end of the building where the food court and bus stops are located -- though it would only be about a 30 second longer walk to building 4.

I am sure this has been asked and answered but I have looked through many pages and searches I can't find it - sooo
Can someone please let me know what kind of coffee maker is in the suites please? Is it a 4 or 8 cup traditional or one of the single serve types?
Thanks !!

We are driving and plan to arrive around 830am. I have no expectation that a room will be ready. We'll head to water park for a few hours.

If we stop at a grocery store before we arrive, the resort have cold storage available until our room is ready?

Thanks for your help.

Bell Services (located right outside the main entrance) will have cold storage. I would just make sure all the stuff is bagged together to they can label it easily.

We spent one magical night at AoA for Mother's Day weekend and all I can say is WOW! What an amazing resort!

We were pixie dusted an upgrade from our LM room to a Cars Family Suite. The room was so well themed, clean and oddly quiet for a value resort!

Mousekeeping was great; brought us towels for the pool upon request and the room was clean and pristine when we arrived.

We walked the entire resort to see all the statues and pools, etc. Quite a walk I must say, but it was SO cool!!

I wanted to write into the resort to compliment our CM at check in; she was so wonderful, but I don't know where to send something like that. Any suggestions? TIA!
