I have a question, has anyone noticed what kind of creamer they have in the food court? My husband and I like the vanilla creamer and I will bring some from home of they don't have any there! Also, Pop used to have decaf diet coke, anyone know if AoA has that????

I have not seen any flavored creamer unfortunately. No diet decaf coke either :(

:goodvibes For any of the PP that have already stayed at AoA, my question is: We like to stay close to the lobby/food court/bus stop, my husband is not much of a walker, what rooms should we request that would meet that criteria, Nemo or Lion King?? :confused3 Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Thank you:worship::worship:

I feel like Cars, Nemo and Lion King are all similar distances. Just a few minutes at most.

So glad you are having a great time! Thank you for taking the time to answer questions! What does the hotel provide for shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, etc? Also, what type/brand of coffee pods is provided. Thanks! Also, how is the water pressure in the shower?

Are the Lion King characters between the two buildings or are they scattered behind around the area?

How is the food court? Is the food good? Is it crowded? The Little Mermaid section has almost 900 rooms (about 1100 suites are now open). I am afraid once Little Mermaid opens it might become very crowded, especially if everything is made to order. What beverages are available with the refillable mug?

Have you been to the gift shop? Did you see any special AOA items there?

We are booked in a family suite for 10/13. Requested Lion King or Finding Nemo.

Have a great vacation!

Disney provides their H2O line- a combined shampoo and conditioner and bath soap both with an orange scent. They smell really nice.

Shower water pressure feels good to me, haven't noticed any issues.

The coffee maker is a cuisinart. In the room was twinings earl gray and green tea, along with arabican single cup coffee pods, regular and decaf.

The lion king characters are scattered between the two buildings, spread out in the courtyard.

We LOVE the food court. So far my group has tried the caprese sandwich, make your own pastas and salads, pizza, Mongolian stir fry, oatmeal, fruit bowls (make your own), breakfast platters, make your own omelettes, and egg white frittatas. We've been trying each others food and everything has been good. I didn't notice the make your own stuff taking too long- didn't wait more than a few minutes for anything. But, it's not a full hotel like you said and the food court has never been packed. Once the LM rooms are open I'm afraid it might be a zoo in there.

Drinks for mugs- coffee, tea, hot chocolate, different types of iced tea, light lemonade, mello yellow, sprite, coke, diet coke, power aide.. I know I'm forgetting a few.

Gift shop- a few AoA items like pins, key chains, pens, cars stickers, hats, polos and tshirts, and a mug I believe. Cute stuff, I already bought the women's purple LM AoA tshirt.

There was no lotion in our room, but the shampoo/conditioner mix was the best I have seen in a hotel. I have long hair, and I was able to run a comb through my hair no problem after shampooing with their shampoo. Our water pressure the first night was TERRIBLE, but I called the front desk the next morning, and they sent a plumber right away. Don't be shy about calling if something is not working like it should.

I didn't see decaf diet coke, but we were super-excited that they had Sprite zero (no caffeine, no sugar) and Minute Maid SF lemonade. We try to drink a lot of water, but it does get a little boring after awhile. It's nice to have a couple of options with no sugar and no caffeine.

As for the creamers, it's in a little machine..I do know that I saw flavored creamer somewhere, but, for the life of me, I can remember where.. I was sad that they had no diet caffeine free coke. I drank the Sprite zero and put my little packets of Crystal light that I brought along for flavoring my water in the parks.

80 days until AoA cars suite! Getting super excited!

Trying to figure out where want ADRs...too bad Be Our Guest wont be open, I was looking forward to that :sad2:

I absolutely love this resort and am totally thrilled the little mermaid is a part of it she is my favorite! Question my family and I are considering. Going in early March (3-7/8) ish and are hoping for free dining I know it's not guaranteed but we are hoping since they offered it last year for this time. I am a nursing student and this is my spring break. Is the art of animation apart of the free dinning in the little mermaid rooms? Does it depend? Thanks!

Subbing.

LM room Nov. 10 -17 :thumbsup2 I hope it doesn't put DS over the edge! :rotfl2:

ok I caved and we transferred from ASMu 4 family suits to A of Animation for 2 weeks I'm kind of excited now looks amazing and we got free dinning Nov 25 -Dec 9

Unfortunately not. Just the suites are.

I'll be staying in the LM section for my trip in February. Sooo excited!

Does anyone know what time the food court opens for breakfast?

Thanks!

My partner and I will be staying in the LM section of AoA for 8 whole days in December. I'm so excited! I opened a Disney Visa not too long ago, so we were fortunate enough to get Free Dining even though we aren't in the family suites.

I've already requested a king-size bed, but I'll probably call 10 or so days before to check on that and to ask for a room with a view of Hourglass Lake (instead of the parking lot - ha!) and preferably closer to the Lion Kind (and everything else).

I like that there's a bridge connecting Pop Century, since I've never visited that resort. It will be nice to wander around for a while.

This is our first time going to WDW (so excited!!!). Who do you call to make room requests? I would like to request a certain building if possible, but have no idea how to do it!! Thanks!

Did the FD offer come as a serendipitous pin for you or as a direct reward for opening a Disney Visa? I am anticipating falling in love with LM during our Sept stay and wanting to return in Feb to the same resort and would only be able to manage that with FD. If it means opening an account.....:thumbsup2

My TA made a request for us, all I wanted was not the ground floor. However, she said room requests are just that, requests. I am still hoping for a room not on the ground floor.

Disclaimer: I did not read the whole thread...

How long is the walk from the bus stop to building 8 of The Little Mermaid? It seems like a very far walk and I wanted to plan for it accordingly JIC! Thanks!

It is expected to be a shorter walk than it would appear, likely 5-7 minutes at the most.

The creamer dispenser machine is half and half. I don't think there are any creamer packets.

Are there cabanas at the Lion King and the Cars pool? Will there be any around the little Mermaid pool do you think?:confused3

The cabanas are at the Cars pool, there is no Lion King pool and I don't think there are any at the LM pool, but I haven't seen pictures yet.
