Okay, don't laugh. :confused3 Now I need info please. I've been told by many Disney fans who have gone down in Nov. that the weather ranges from the 80s to a high in the 40s. Shouldn't we pack for both hot and cold? What I mean is I want to swim even if we hit colder weather. It can get cold there sometimes in Nov. doesn't it?

It varies year to year, of course, but I think the chilliest times are typically in the evenings and early morning. When we were there this past December, a week before Christmas, mid-day I was wearing shorts and a tank top and sweating profusely! I think as long as you bring at least one pair of long pants you may wear more than once, and a sweater or long sleeve shirt to bring with you to the parks if you get cold, you'll be fine. And you should DEFINITELY have some decent pool weather!

We have been in November and it was really warm during the day - plenty warm enough to swim. It was slightly colder at night. We packed for all seasons because we did not know what to expect.

There really is no way to know what sort of weather you will have. It's best to plan for the worst and hope for the best. Bring layers of clothes as some days you'll be hot during the day but cool in the evenings.

It is also possible to have mild weather for part of the trip, but have a cold front move in for another part of the trip.

I recommend watching the forecast leading up until your trip and adjust at the last minute. In 2010 I ended up adding coats, gloves and hats at the last minute and we did need them.

My completed Dec 2010 trip report is linked in my signature. I'm almost done with Dec 2011 an it's linked there too.

"winter" in FL is so unpredictable! In Jan 2008 we were *so* hot on our trip! It never dipped below 80* for the high and we had packed for 50-60* weather. December 2011 it was chilly with warm afternoons. We'd be cold in the am/pm and hot in the midday. We used layers alot!

Here's the plan for our Dec 2012 trip.

We are doing matching t-shirts for each day. I'll also bring 3 l/s shirts per person to layer with the t's if we have cold days. Hoodies for everyone for the nights/early mornings. My mom and I will be fine in capris the whole time - whether the high is 60* or 80* - so we plan on capris daily. I'm doing capris for Ava with 1-2 pairs of pants and 1-2 pairs of shorts to pack for extremes. Planning on bringing a ton of solid pants and shorts for Levi so that we can just pick what goes with the weather each day. Bathingsuits for sure as well as jackets/hoodies!

Just be prepared for the unusual as well. We had a couple mornings in 2010 that dipped into the 20's. Capris wouldn't have quite done it for me on those mornings. I actually wore thermal underwear under my clothes and was still cold. I think the cold combined with the high humidity just feels so much colder than 20 something in the midwest. Thankfully that weather is not typical. But we certainly know now that it IS possible.

You mean you get to sit for 15 whole minutes before getting up to take someone to pee?! :rotfl: This, is why we sit in the back because as soon as I get back from changing a diaper, I sit down, and some instantaneously says, "mom, I have to pee."

I never thought to sit in the back. I'll have to remember that this trip. Last year was my 1st time flying with a little one & he was still in diapers. But this trip, he is fully potty trained & I hear, "Mommy, I have to pee!" every five minutes! I'm sure he'll be that way on the plane, so the 6 of us all the way in the back it is! :rotfl::rolleyes1:rolleyes:

Brrrr it was 100 today in San Antonio, but I am still thawing out from Dec. '10!
It was sooooo cold that during Fantasmic, the audience was actually booing Sorcerer Mickey for killing the dragon and putting out the fires. We watched the forecasts and were well bundled, but so many people were caught unaware.

um, no... there is only minute maid LITE... yuck.

Can you tell me if the Disney’s Art of Animation Resort family suites refrigerator has a freezer to?

Tink15823, Disneysherrym, and Mistressmerryweather--Did you all purchase the EBCI with your departure flight? I normally only purchase it for our flight back.

No I haven't purchased it yet. I normally don't and just check in at 24 hour mark and usually get boarding A or low B. I do checkin for return flight from my phone so it doesn't matter if we are in the park's or where ever I can still check in at 24 hour mark and the just print boarding passes whennwe get to airport!

I read somewhere that it has a little freezer.

Sorry, but that makes me happy, I save my sugar for cupcakes.:thumbsup2 Usually I end up with water, because most of the time diet drinks are caffeinated and I don't do caffeine. It makes me :yay: hyper like a 4 year old on cupcakes.

I know this is a silly question, but does anyone know which Cars building is which for entrance themes? Looks to me like one is Mater, one is Guido/Luigi, and one is the Wheel Well Motel?

We're big Guido fans so I'd love to request that building, but I don't know which number it is.

Hi.we went to wdw around thanksgiving in2009 and 2010 and we packed for both winter and summer. We experienced cold weather , warm weather and rain so I would recommend packing for both. The average temperature when we were there was75 degrees during day. There were a couple of days around68 and a couple around 80 but still very mild weather. We needed a jacket most nights. We even packed winter coats and gloves in 2009 because there were a couple of nights in the 40s. I don't remember sweating but temperatures were a little below average both years

I'm glad we were prepared too, complete with chemical handwarmers. I would have hated to spend my entire souvenir budget on jackets and gloves.

We just booked a December trip and I imagine it will come down to the week of before I know what to pack. I know my neighbours went just after New Year this year and had to buy new winter coats at the store in the Norway pavilion.
I hope to not have to pack my winter coat. It's a big puffy down filled one since I live in Canada. Not excited about dragging that with me.
Our February 11 trip was 75 or 80 every day. It was so nice!

We were at Disney last in Dec 2010. We flew in from Boston- so I wore a fleece and Uggs down, and ended up wearing them most of the trip. We had a few warm afternoons- but jeans and layered shirts for the most part. My husband had to buy a coat, and we got an extra blanket for our then three year old to wear in her stroller. Some nights got very cold and I wished I had gloves. And this is coming from a New Englander with zero heat tolerance. I heard this was kind of fluke weather, but I will pack coats and gloves this time again in case! I loved the chilly weather, but hope we can get more pool time this visit.

We went December 12-18th 2010. We went there expecting it to be "kind of cold" Around the lower 50's with lows of about 35 some nights. Well, when we landed in Orlando at about 11 am, the forecast had changed significantly from when we were at Newark at 5 in the morning. It ended up being about 35-40 degrees for highs, with lows in the lower 20's, with some upper teens. We had to buy some thermals at the All Star Sports. But of course our last day it was 80 degrees.
