Disney's Art of Animation Resort hotel

my apologies to those who say it was bigger. It looks a lot bigger than Pop. so walking could be a problem here.

The overall property layout and size is about the same as Pop Century since they mirror each other.

The actual properties may not be exactly the same size, but AoA isn't much bigger or smaller than Pop by comparison.

I do notice that the placement of the LM section is different than the complimentary 80's/90's section at Pop, which may may the LM section a little less walkable to the main building and buses. But again generally these properties are about the same size.

Wilderness Lodge

Glad to get the new value resort. The budget wasn't there this year for a moderate or deluxe.

Taking DH, 5 yr old son, and 2 1/2 yr old son on their first Disney Vacation!!

We are staying in a Cars Suite in September.

Everytime I see new pictures I get more and more excited! Can't wait till next week when people start posting from actual experiences there!!

9 days until we check in. My 4 year old son keeps asking when we get to stay in the Nemo hotel. I'm so excited!

Not sure about the food court hours but, saw the pool sign on a former post and the hours are 7am-11pm.

This will be my 16th trip and my 1st to a value. Have you seen the photos of just the exterior alone? How could this place be a let down? With the economy the way it is, this may be my hotel of choice from now on! You say your budget wasn't there for mod or deluxe; isn't getting to Disney what counts? I'd be happy in a pup tent in MK's Town Square if it meant a trip to WDW!

Welcome on board! The photos and videos get me very excited, too! We're not going until after Thanksgiving so I'll be surviving on everyone else's trip photos!

Thanks for shareing. I had read about the "open Mouse" and was hopeing we might see more pictures. I like the Finding Nemo Suites a lot!

Thanks Tiffany there are great. We're booked in LK Sept 28-Oct 7th . We have flipped back and forth from Cars to LK now I am really unsure !! OH well Lk this trip then Cars the next .. I really don't think we can go wrong and if I changed when the LK pic come out I would be just as excited over them .

You're right. We're still super excited and can't wait to check out this new resort! December is way too far away.

Also really looking forward to the new Fantasyland, but that's for another thread...

ON an off chance the LM rooms are not done by my check in...will they keep me at AOA in a suite or move me to another resort...will i have a choice. I've decided it's best not to tell DD adhead of time we are staying in a LM room! Will they notify me beforehand? Thanks-AM

Well, I know this is the only time that I will stay in AOA...My budget is value but, not for this trip I can't wait to visit and waiting is and looking here for input and hopefully anyone who will stay there next week and post pictures will build my excitement
No they will not move you. If you have booked a LM then you will get it. Unless some strange unforseen circumstance occurs, so to be safe, don' tell your DD

We would love to go over to the resort for lunch (staying at Beach Club villas)....if we get a Disney bus from Epcot into the resort will there be any problems with us eating there or sitting by the pool? Is the pool going to be gated with room keys to enter etc?

Sounds like the pool at the Nemo suites will be gated but the others won't... not sure when you will be there / if the other pools will be open. No problem coming for lunch, I think all the dining and merch will be open when the resort opens!

That fence looks like it could be permanent, but more likely just to keep animals (rabbits, squirrels, etc.) away from the pool. Maybe???

Thanks so much for posting. I saw where there is going to be an Animator's Lounge where Disney Artists will sketch & demonstrate how to draw Disney Characters. This is the first that I have heard of this. Does anyone know anything more? Sounds cool.
