Maybe its a boundary fence for the cabanas? So kiddos don't get lost in the sagebrush? :goodvibes

So if anyone is staying at AoA here soon....can you look around and see if there will be a window to decorate? We will be staying in LM section and wanted to decorate our window for DD birthday. Thanks.

I'm sure the LM section will have windows similar to the other Value resorts, so get your decorations ready. :goodvibes

woooo add me to the lm!! i was in asm and just asked today to see if anything was avail. since it wasnt with the free dining before, and there was! and i still have free dining!! sooooooooooooooo excited!!!!

I still have a ton to load, but I have about 20 up now. I'll load more tomorrow if you want to check back on this link.

more cars pictures...fence around cars pool too???? or may temp.??

Thanks, both Jen and Tiff for sharing those great photos. My guess is that the Car's fence is temp. Look at how nice Nemo's fence is. It's very artistic and blends beautifully with it's surroundings. I don't think they would put up a fence like that one around the Cars pool and leave it (unless they think it has a 'Cars' look to it?)

I saw where there is going to be an Animator's Lounge where Disney Artists will sketch & demonstrate how to draw Disney Characters. This is the first that I have heard of this. Does anyone know anything more? Sounds cool.

I've heard nothing about this, but I hope you're right. I would really enjoy this and I think others would too. It would add one of those 'Disney extra special' touches to the resort. It would be really great for kids to see.

Yeah, bring decorations with you and do it up big for your little girl! Our dates are almost under 6 months now, aren't they? I'm so excited about all of this. We should be seeing some returning member's photos within a few weeks now! :yay:

First of all, I'm very excited for all of you who get to stay there soon. I was at POP in January, and even then you could sense the excitement.

As far as a split stay and FD, here's my opinion. I've never tried, but will probably do so on our next trip.

We had the QSDP last trip. Even then, OMG so much food. (We brought cereal, bread, pb, granola bars... for quick in-room breakfasts.) There were times where I could have easily split a meal with someone. But because I was on a meal plan I just ordered my own.

So here's what I would do. My thinking is use the DP during the first reservation but eat what you're hungry for. Don't try to "use up" credits. Split a meal at Cosmic Rays or Pizzafari or Earl of Sandwich. Then on the last day of the first stay when you have your new room (with a refrigerator and microwave) go to the food court and stock up using the points you have left... Grab and go, fruit and veggies, stuff that reheats or packs easily...

If you are on the QSDP and want a TS meal or two, schedule those OOP during the 2nd half. (Or I suppose you could go the first half and save the QS credits.) Thinking the other way, if you upgrade to DDP, get those expensive TS meals out of the way while you're on it. I'm sure I would have QS and snack credits left over if I was "loading up" on TS during the day.

On the second ressie, use a room-only discount if available. Use the food you picked up from the 1st ressie. Pack something when in the parks or, if you want a QS meal just pay OOP somewhere that's a good value. I'm guessing that would work out better than paying for another FD offer with a new set of tickets. This tactic may not work for everyone, but for me and the way my family eats I think it would be fine.

we have done this. it works great! we have saved a TS credit for the first night of the second resort (room only), (or second package, if you are going from a LM to a suite).
and saved up CS credits and snack credits to keep in the fridge in the room. and we didn't een have a microwave in the room! (FQ) but they were readily available in the food court. so we s t r e t c h e d out the dining plan, cause it really was too much food for us.

8 days to go. This time next week I'll be running around the house making sure I have everything ready.

I am so excited for you:cool1:Be sure to take lots of pictures for us,please:goodvibes I have already started packing and I have a couple of months left:lmao: Enjoy your time and I hope you will receive lots of pixiedust:pixiedust: Have a magical time:cheer2::littleangel:

Have tons of fun for the one's that are getting ready to stay at AOA. Can't wait to hear all about your stay and most of all see pictures.
Have a safe and fun trip.

Heading there soon and I can't wait! If anyone is going before me with a baby, can you take pics of the crib and/or pack n play? I'm wondering which one I should get.

cant wait to see all the pictures when people check in next week :surfweb::banana:popcorn::

AARRRGGGHHH how am I going to make it for another year before I can go here!?!

The pics look so amazing!

That fence looks like it could be permanent, but more likely just to keep animals (rabbits, squirrels, etc.) away from the pool. Maybe???

I think that is a permanent fence because all the ground landscaping has been done too. I bet if those rabbits and squirrels have their AoA KTTW card they will be able to get into the pool area. :goodvibes

The crib option at the other Value resorts has been a Graco Pack 'n Play, so I would assume that would continue at AoA.

Thanks so much for posting. I saw where there is going to be an Animator's Lounge where Disney Artists will sketch & demonstrate how to draw Disney Characters. This is the first that I have heard of this. Does anyone know anything more? Sounds cool.

You're right, in the main building/lobby area there is a spot for a cartoonist to demonstrate how to draw characters. It will be interesting to see when and how often a cartoonist is available.

Oh wow. My DS10, who will be turning 11 during our trip, is going to love that! He loves to draw, and would really enjoy watching a cartoonist in person.
