Sorry I did not read everything and I am sure this has been asked before. Can anyone tell me if AOA will have there own bus or are they sharing with POP? I am so confused I was given 3 different answers. We will be doing AOA and when I called to change our res from BC the CM said they will share she thinks . I called Pop I know you are not talking to POP and she said we will not know until May. Another CM said they would not share .:confused3 Also has anyone found out what they have for dinning? TNA

Whew. Just read all 110 pages and wanted to let you know that we have POPped over to LM. So excited to try out AoA and with FD (and for just a little more than we were already paying). I too, am excited about the offerings at the food court and of course, the themeing. When we go to WDW we want to be totally immersed in the experience. :cool1: Thanks for all the great pics too!

We just booked Art of Animation for Nov 11th. My daughter is running in the marathon and needs to get to the Wide World of Sports. Is there a bus from the resort or will she have to get a taxi to Wide World of Sports?

I e-mailed Disney a request for rooms in either of those buildings, and it says I can ask when I check-in, but not before then. I think the LK section looks so cool too! That and Little Mermaid are two of my favorite Disney movies.

Me too! I can't wait to try the Indian food especially.

Emailing won't work. You need to call your TA or Disney and have it added to your reservation. And you do need to add it before.

I asked on the moms panel on Disney website and they said that AoA will have own buses!!!Hope that is still true!

Sorry answered wrong post about buses!!!

Sorry answered wrong post about buses!!!

I caution you about the Moms panel. I do think AoA will have it's own buses, but I have seen a lot of wrong info come from the Moms panel before.

I think that they will have their own buses but I was thinking that they maybe sharing with some other resort at 1st like when nemo and/or cars is opened since it is very few rooms, Nemo having 320 rooms and cars having 480 rooms. Really not sure...but I would not be surprised if they have there own buses right from the start.
I doubt that AOA would share with POP. I'm not sure how many rooms POP has but I'm guessing around 2880. That is a big POPULAR resort to be sharing with another big resort.

I just want to thank 'Tiffany' for both the map and the 8 pages of awesome photos. Between you and 'Cinder73's' links, the photos have me jumping up and down on my chair! :thumbsup2
Also, thank you to 'Disneydaz' for all the extensive work that you've done on your Snack List. OMG, I can't imagine how long that must have taken you. Originally the snacks were: ice cream, soda, chips, water, popcorn and I think fruit. Then it seemed like it became almost anything under $4.00. Now it's unbelievably extensive and some are over $4.00. I'm also going to copy your list before our Christmas trip and use it to get the best snack credits and to search out and take home the best treats for family members at home! :thumbsup2

You're welcome. I'm excited too. I can't wait to stay in a brand new resort and having stayed at Pop a couple of times, I so glad to see a beautiful new resort in place of 3 old ugly buildings and the bridge to nowhere opened, hopefully. :thumbsup2

I'll be sure and post any new thing that I find. :)

Thanks for the tip! I also asked on the panel about the fridge and free wifi-wondering now if what was told to me about that question is true either(they said definate yeses to that too!!)

Looking at some of the aerial photos of the Lion King area I am happy to see what looks like quite a few trees and nice landscaping. For me that's always the thing I miss when at the values.. just some shade and trees. Lots of them near the pools at AoA it would appear:)

The LK play area does look like its going to be really cool from the photos!Boy does the LM section(which is where we are staying)look far away from bus stops though from that angle!!Yikes!

I'm starting to wonder if the walk from the LM buildings over to Pop Century might not be all that long...especially from building 8. It's looking pretty close to the 50's section the way it's shaping up. For all these years you could always see the shell of the LM buildings as you drive in and out of Pop.

You're welcome. I actually took over the thread from jjohnson last year and I've made some changes to it. I used her lists for a few years before I took it over and it was very helpful. The first time we used DDP in Jan. 2005 I know we only used it for the basics. I also know we left some credits unused! (I know, what were we thinking!) I just don't want anyone else to make the same mistakes we did the first time.

Have a great trip at Christmas. We've only done WDW at Christmas once and I would love to do it again. We went the year The Osborne Light Spectacle was dark due to Lights, Motor, Action being built. I would love to see it in person. :goodvibes

Keep on eye on my thread as the holidays approach. Last year there were added locations for SC that I found mostly thanks to easywdw.com

I am so looking forward to staying at AoA in the LM rooms. I plan on requesting lakeview, building 7, top floor. When we've stayed at POP I like staying in the 50's facing the lake. We've had the 4th floor once and the 3rd floor 2 or 3 times. This year if my DSis goes with we will have another reason to ask for lakeview-she smokes (I know YUCK!) and there are smoking areas next to the lake.

I think the LM rooms will be about the same walking distantace to the main hall as the 50's over at the POP.I just wonder if you get a lake view on the top floor you can see Illuminations like you can from the POP?

I've heard from 3 reliable sources that AoA will have it's own buses. Usually only 'sister' resorts share and AoA and Pop are NOT 'sister' resorts. :thumbsup2 The food menu will include a lot of 'made to order' (really nice for a QS food court, huh?) salads, sandwiches, smoothies, etc., ethnic/international foods and good old all American foods. Something for everyone. Where in Pa. is Brockport? I'm in Eastern, Pa.

I'm not sure exactly where you get it (maybe the TCC), but I'm sure that Disney provides bus transport to WWOS since it is one of it's official venues. Hopefully another member can give you exact details.

I agree. I don't think the distance will be bad at all. And LK looks like it will be fun to walk through!

I'm right with you Pigletto! :thumbsup2 It's my first stay at a value, not because I have money to spare, but I'm a nature lover and I love nature photography, so I figured the extra cost was part of my trip costs in order to really enjoy my vacation. The other values just didn't seem to offer as much in the way of natural beauty that I've found at CBR and other resorts. I think, however, I may have found a new home in AoA!!!!! :flower3::fish::squirrel::butterfly:flower1:

2005? I didn't realize that the DDP was that old. We first got it in 2007; we got it for free and I thought that it was new that year as I hadn't been there since 2003 at that point. :crazy2: (I know, I've had some long droughts!)
We've been to WDW many times, but this is our first Christmas trip! We're very excited about it! I will certainly look forward to keeping up with your list as our trip and the holidays approach.
I'm thinking of requesting a LM lakeview, also. I just think that it will be so pretty to look out and see the lake, but we'll probably be on the 1st floor since we'll have a wheelchair with us.
I hope you get to come out and do WDW at Christmas again so you can see the lights at DHS. :thumbsup2

Has anyone been getting signed out of the boards all day ? I have to keep relogging in.

Anyway wishful thinking I know , but do you guys think there is a chance that the LM ride might be open for a soft opening by Sept ? How awesome would it be to stay in the rooms AND get to ride the ride ?

I think I heard they may some little tweaks to what our Lm ride will be like compared to the one in Disney Land . Here is a link to their's. I imagine it will be pretty much like the same thing overall. It looks really cool.

Of course I am keeping my fingers crossed for Be Our Guest resturant also. Someone posted that they usually dont start taking reservations opening intil a month or less than before the soft opening.

Brockport is just off I80 between State College and Clarion . Way out in the sticks we are part of the Pa wilds where the big Elk herd is . Thanks for answering me I thought we were staying at BC but that changed today ..:cool1: We just love the larger than life look of AOA . I have been looking from time to time and the kids Found the updated photos .

It would be great if it was a little different. We rode this ride at DL and we were so excited about it but it definitely had it's issues. One thing is the loading. They constantly were having to stop the ride to help people load. The problem is that you are often stopping and stuck waiting for several minutes at one spot in the ride. (SEVERAL minutes, like 5!). My kids kept getting antsy and didn't want to sit still after a while. It made it really hard to enjoy it because it would stop 4 or 5 times each time. And sometimes you would stop facing a strange direction or in-between scenes. And there would be two different songs playing in each scene. Hearing them played at the same time was headache inducing! (We tried it 3 times thinking it would get better and because I was traveling with my family and at various times someone else wanted to go on it again). Just hope they fix those problems at WDW. If not, I don't think my family would really be that interested in ridding it again. I am super excited about Be our guest though!!
