Cinderella73, thanks for the awesome video. I'm staying at the AoA in Nov. and I'm so excited that I can't get enough photos and videos to see, or posts and articles to read.
PS: Cinderella73, I have a little cousin with extremely severe peanut allergies; it's a scary, but often unknown problem, isn't it?
As for the boys not wanting 'girlie rooms', LOL, I have young nephews and I think I would just play up how totally cool Prince Eric is. Also, King Triton is an awesome Masculine figure! Let's not overlook the male heroes in this great movie classic!

I think we are considering AoA for next May. I really like the Lion King Suite, but my 16 yr old thinks it's too girly

Everyone loves the Cars one, so I think that might just be the one for us. I am so excited, and I am hoping everyone has a magical time at this resort!

The pools look awesome in the video, as well.

I'm sure that you will love staying at AoA, which ever section you chose. We're going in Nov. and I'm hardly able to think about anything else!
In regards to a PP comment about the 'French Fry' pool, I saw the decor you referred to and now I, too, will be thinking of FF when I see that! I'll bet they sell a lot of fries to hungry swimmers as the time goes by.
I can't help but wonder what they were thinking of when they designed the shape of the LM pool? Although, maybe it's just me.

What section are you staying in? Finding Nemo? LK?

Just a general question for everyone-- Are all resort guests allowed to use all the pools? I.E I am sure my 6 year old will want to go to the LK pool, can he, since we are staying in Cars?

Yeah well .. with my boys that wont work. lol At their ages there is nothing thats going to convince them staying in a purple building is cool. I tried though. But they are being pretty good about it thankfully. I still may switch over to a suite this week or do half and half but I think I will keep it a suprise. Called and used our AAA and got a pretty big discount so that helps.

With the food allergies , yeah its tough. I am putting in a lot of orders for safe snacks to be delivered so we have everything handy when we arrive. That and a cooler backpack for the parks will be great.

Lk wont have a pool , but it will have a little play area. I believe its going to be similar to the sandy boneyard area at AK park but on a smaller scale. Only LM , Cars , and Nemo will have pools. And yes you can use any pool at the resort when you stay at that same resort.

Btw for those of you that asked about the bed. The beds in the suites are made by Inova and if you click on this video and skip to 0:33 you will see the way the bed folds down. Of course the ones at Disney dont have the tv in them but are the same design and company otherwise.

I am also wondering how they are going to feel. I know that the murphy beds at Fort Wilderness cabins are the most comfortable beds in the cabin . But I am very curious to see how these are. I pray they are not rock hard. They sure dont look comfortable. My back hurts looking at them.

Same dates for us - we'll be in a Finding Nemo suite!! From what I've read, early Nov sounds like a great time to be at Disney - especially crowds-wise

I agree, but I'm afraid that a lot of people probably haven't listened to the words. We're staying in the Little Mermaid section; that's the section with regular rooms. There are only three of us so that's really all we need for this trip. I'm sure we'll have a great time. I hope you get to stay there.

Yes, the Car's pool is also unusual. It will be interesting to see them for real when they're filled and ready to go.

You don't have to book through AAA to get the AAA discount - IF it is available. I called 407-W-DISNEY, booked Dec. 1-8 at Little Mermaid, and got the AAA discount of 10% off. However, when I changed my dates to Dec. 15-17, the AAA rate wasn't available.

the suites have the inside corridoors - while the hotel rooms have the outside - so far the Mermaid is the only outside ones.
