Links work for me.... I wonder whats up with the guy holding a large paintbrush that's all dressed up and colorful...? Resort mascot?

This is exactly how I feel about it! We were going to stay at POP and had requested to be in either building 4 or 5 to be closer to the main building, but there is no guarantee that we wouldn't be in the furthest away building instead. I will gladly walk the extra little bit and enjoy everything there is to see on the way!!

Sorry you are bummed, but think of it this way...

With all of the miles you will walk when touring the parks, what is another few hundred feet a day? I don't think it will be that far of a walk. Very comparable to the walk from some of the further buildings at POP. I can't imagine it would add more than a few minutes round trip to and from the main building. :goodvibes

You guys are right..... it can't hurt right???? the resort looks great so i might bite the bullet my DD is older anyway so she can walk now...... :goodvibes

i wonder if one section (out of the 3 suite sections) will be a lot more popular than the others. I know I myself have no interest in staying in LK or Cars........(although that may change when they post more pics of the LK section).

I'm glad the TLK buildings aren't too far from Animation Hall, but either way I'd go with the flow and walk the extra distance. Since TLK has no pool, it looks like I'll be using the Nemo Big Blue Pool for my trip! Which is cool, because it has great decor.

I can't wait to see pics from TLK eventually, whenever that will happen. Months?

I know this is kind of silly, but I really love how it says "Fish are Friends" around the mirror in the bathroom. I can't wait to see what it says in the other sections!

I won't ever have the need to stay in one of the suites, but if I did, just from what we have seen so far even, I would pick the LK. I love the LK rooms a lot more than the Nemo or Cars suites. But I was just thinking as I looked through all those pics just posted that even though I like the Cars movie, it is the section that I am least excited about. Don't really know why.:confused3

I was looking at this picture and I'm not sure if there will be an ice cream shop but I see what looks like 12 places to put ice cream and if you look on the menu broad it looks like a milkshake or smoothe. I'm not sure if this is where the gelato will be.
Here is the link to enlarge the picture and look at it.

Thanks for this pic! This is encouraging, but I will hold off on getting too excited until I see what they put in all those bins.:goodvibes IF it is ice cream and IF they offer FD for our dates, then we will switch to LM from POP, but right now we are booked with a 30% off PIN that isn't good for AoA. Won't give it up unless we can get FD at POP or AoA. Keeping my fingers crossed. :goodvibes

OMG! It looks so cool! I'm glad I switched over from POP to AoA when they opened it up for free DDP. Sept 29th seems so far away! I absolutely love the themeing!

And for those who wondered about the bridge being open-it will be so crossing over to POP, to visit and old friend, will be easy.

The DIS has a detailed photo gallery up here. :thumbsup2

It's wonderful, thank you so much.

Absolutely it can't hurt. It's not really that far. It's not like walking around the CBR or the CSR. As you and your DD walk thru LK she's going to love the LK playground and seeing all of the characters there anyway; it will be fun! Go and enjoy it. :cloud9:

a few pictures of this we have not seen yet. :goodvibes

Loving all of them. As always, thank you!!!!! :flower3:

I'm so glad that you switched! We won't be there at the same time (we're after Thanksgiving), but know that your snack list will be there with me!!!!! :flower3:

This resort looks AMAZING!!! I am so excited to stay there in the Fall.

We will be staying in the Little Mermaid section and have booked room only. We will likely go with Dining Plan. I have read that if you have booked room only then you can not simply just add a package (i.e tickets and dining) and would have to cancel the original ressie and re-book with a package. I know that it says you must book the dining plan a minimum of 3 days prior to check in. Is this risky? If the section was fully booked during my time period, could I potentially lose my room by trying to switch from room only to a package so close to check in? Is it better to re-book with a package NOW or wait to see if free dining comes out? I just like the fact that the room only cancellation policy is much more flexible than package cancellations.

I'm no expert, but my thought would be to book your package because you seem like you certainly are excited and want to go to the AoA. If you're already booked into a package, wouldn't it be easier for you to convert your 'existing' package to the FD package if it comes out (Keep your fingers crossed)? We booked our package in LM for late Nov. and are hoping to switch to FD when it becomes available (as of right now we are paying for the DDP OOP). There are already rumors that FD is coming for the holiday period. Good luck.
PS: If my info is wrong, somebody PLEASE correct me and set this poster straight. Thanks.

Thanks. I can't wait . When I booked it I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to go. But I start a new job on Monday so things are looking VERY good!

When jjohnson did the snack list I brought hers with me too! So helpful. First time we used the DDP in Jan. 05 I know we left unused credits.:scared1:

http://damouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/DSC07922.jpg This is from the second set of photos. What is it? It looks like something unlocked with the RFID KTTW. Is that the room lock?

I was thinking that since it was around the group of pictures that were around the elevator, maybe it is a place to scan your card to use the elevator??? Not Sure. It is not the same pictures that I have seen that are the locks on the doors.
Also the blue and cement like wall is like the wall near the elevator.

Thought I would insert that photo from Kathy Werling's report here for a reference for the thread.

And again, yes, the Nemo pool is for AoA guests only according to the goggle rules, and the reports that the pool area fence requires your room key. Perhaps this sign can be changed (it also lists pool hours) but here's what they will start with.

Additional thought...so each resort's pool rules are always going to say it's for the exclusive use of that resort's guests. But with this sign and the key access, it's looking like your Pop KTTW card is not going to let you in.

I'm bummed about the pool hours. :( I thought the value pools were open 24 hours a day?
Wondering, does that mean the LM and Cars pools will have hours as well, or are those likely to be 24 hours?

Is the POP main pool 24 hours?
