I just returned last night from my first stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village!!! I cannot say enough positive things about this resort and wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend it to others.
We were a group of 9 and had a 2 bedroom villa with savanna view. The room was amazing! We were on the fifth floor, towards the center of the resort in room 7910. Even though we were a large group, the room had more than enough space for all of us. Having 3 full bathrooms was great. The best part of the room was by far the balcony. It was accessible from the main bedroom, the family room, and the second bedroom. It was so nice to wake up and just sit out there and watch the animals every morning.
We didn't eat at Sanaa but we did go to the lounge one night. It was very cozy and sort of reminded us of La Cava Del Tequila over at Epcot.
We used the pool and hot tubs even though it was kind of chilly. The pool was empty on Friday afternoon and it was like we had it to ourselves. We grabbed a few drinks from the Mahji Pool Bar which was huge and the drinks were really good too.
We made the walk over to Jambo House on both Friday and Saturday and the walk was not bad at all. Maybe it was because of our room location but none of us minded walking over there. While we were at Jambo House we visited Victoria Falls which was out of this world. The bar tenders were great as was the view and atmosphere. We all ate breakfast at Boma Saturday morning and as others have stated, it's by far the best buffet on Disney property.
We didn't use the buses too often but we did take them back from Epcot and to and from DTD. We never had to wait for one. They were always there waiting for us.
For the resort being sold out, it felt really quiet in the lobby most of the time. It was much busier at Jambo House though.
We have absolutely no complaints and are already looking into booking the room again for our next stay. Any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer them.
