Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

You will find All Star Sports very comparable to Pop. The rooms are a little smaller...

According to fact sheets, Pop Century rooms and All-Star resort standard rooms are both 260 square feet.

I can't tell any size difference between Pop Century and All-Star rooms. The size, layout, amenities are all identical.

only difference i am aware of is Pop is 4 story and Sports 3 stories tall.

Now I am considering throwing our Pop/AOA split stay ressies out the door and switching our stay to exclusively AS Sports which was our original choice. I just watched a YouTube tour of the resort and it looks so colorful and fun, very Disney; and the new food court looks great too. I also really keep leaning towards the fact that it is a smaller, compact resort. The All Stars hold a special place in my heart because we stayed at AS Music on our first Disney trip. We wanted to try Pop for a different experience and since there are more rooms there we would be more likely to get connecting rooms; but for some reason Pop just seems so much bigger and crowded from what I've read and and heard. AOA, although new and very adorable, is really up there price wise and we would be paying close to deluxe prices for less beds, and there are seven of us .

We stated at POP last year and it was ok. We are excited to the try AS SPORT now. We have a 6 yr old and he just didn't get into the POP decor so it was boring walks around for us. We all really enjoy the loud and fun themes so we are looking forward to this resort....7 days and counting!!

Can someone tell me about the jogging trail that goes around the all star resorts? Where is that? Is it on any of the maps?

Only the Deluxes and Coronado Springs have fitness centers. Here you go.

Can anyone tell me if the laundry machines at Sports still take coins or have they switched over to credit cards now? Thanks!

I'm booking today. Do I need to bring a coffee maker or do they provide coffee/coffee makers? Do mini fridges come with the room?

No coffee makers but they have the small fridge in each room

You're going to Disney World!! Have a great time! The sports resort has such a good vibe to it, very relaxed and friendly. I'll warn you, you're not going to want to return home!

6 days to go for us. I picked the Sports for my stepson ( he's 12, and it's his first trip to the world )
and he's big into sports. If it would have been up to me we would have stayed at AOA lol. but hey, Its Disney so we will have a blast wherever we stay.

You will have a good time. The main pool area with the surfing theme usually has Beach Boy type music playing, nice atmosphere.
