Disney's ALL-STAR MUSIC RESORT Family Suites Information & Questions

Does anyone know how comfy the pull out beds are? that's a HUGE deciding factor for me! We're currently booked at CBR, but sister is wanting her own bed!! UG!!! Thanks for the info!

I spent a few hours on the sofa with my DD's watching a movie one night. I found it as comfortable as any value/moderate full size bed. I also spent a few hours on the chair bed and while it was OK I don't know if I could have slept on it for a whole week. My DS(7) thought it was great.

I have a question about mousekeeping and the family suites.

I know that mousekeeping will make the beds, but what about the pull out's?

Do most of you make up the pull out's or just leave for mousekeeping?

I don't want to make their work more difficult if I put it up and they have to pull it back out to make the beds.

Thanks, my sister helped me decide and we upgraded to the cabins. She REALLY doesn't like the idea of the pull outs, and is gonna put our mother on the pull down murphy bed. We are getting 2 rooms here in May, hopefully they're connecting. Any better chance to get that if we check in early? The ressies are already tied together...and it's requested ON the ressie...I've just heard horror stories! I wanna be right there with my parents!!

They made our pull out's every day. We didn't fully close them but did part of the way so they could tell we used them. Also, if you don't close the sofa at least some it's hard to walk around it in the mornings.

We just got back from staying in the Suites. My mom stayed on the pullout couch and my DD stayed on the pullout ottoman. Each morning my mom made the pullouts herself and folded them back up. After 3 nights she realized she was probably making life more difficult for the maid because each night when she pulled them back out to sleep, she noticed that the maid had remade them.

After much thought...and it believe me it was a lot of thought...Our family will be making our first trip to Disney with a stay here.

Now..is it hard to get around to the other resorts? Like I wanted to go to Whispering Canyon on afternoon...how would go about getting there?

Thank you for the response. I have no problem making the beds everyday, but I could see that I would be making life difficult for the mousekeeper!

Without a car you would have to catch a bus to any of the parks or Downtown Disney. Once there you would transfer to any hotel bus you are looking to go to.

^^^^ Thank for the response.

Another question: Do they have the H2O products or is that just in the deluxes?

Hi. We pulled the sheets up and then folded up the beds. They opened them back up, made up the beds and put the pillows back in their little cubbies (they store inside the beds).

Don't feel guilty!! It's okay.

Mommy4,

How long ago did you book on expedia for the $120.00 rate?

We booked this back in Febuary, I think! It was so great that I just couldn't pass it up.
I hate not having the dining plan! but the price was worth it!

Expedia did give me the WDW ressie #'s, so I feel pretty safe.

What a great thread! We're looking for something for our family for free dining and this was an option on Disney's website. Others from the DIS also suggested this for our family. We would be a family of 5 for this trip - DH, DS5, DS2, DMIL and myself. I'm thinking DH and I would sleep in the "bedroom" and DMIL and the boys will sleep on the pull outs. Any recent TRs or pictures?? We have our own vehicle that we'll use for transportation - just easier for us since we drive - so busses are not a concern for us. More concerned about the room and what location would be the best to suggest. I generally prefer rooms off the ground level simply because I don't want anything getting in my room that has more than two legs and is part of my family! :rotfl:

Thanks for all the info and the pics. We were on the fence about a suite instead of 2 rooms and just couldn't decide. The rooms look really nice for the price and I like the decor better than what I had in a regular room. This thread has made up my mind, a suite will be the way to go for us this September. We have such a large group that we were looking at 3 standard rooms, now with this info I think we may even do 2 suites for the extra room (we were thinking we could do 1 suite and 1 standard room). Thanks again

I stayed in the all star family suites last October.
The way our suite was laid out, you had to walk through the other bedroom to get to the door and kitchen area, but the bathroom was completely in the bedroom. My suite had a different layout then the floor plan on the first page of this thread.
I'm pretty sure there was only one phone line, but the living room and bedroom each had a phone.

Has anyone else found this to be true? We booked a suite with free dining in September and if this is true I would love to have a suite with a bathroom in the bedroom! Thanks.

The Suite we just stayed in did NOT have the bathroom in the bedroom...but that would have been nice.

HI. I may have an answer for you. Apparently they put together a few different suite layouts when they were "testing" them. There is another layout with only one bathroom, but a half wall creating two separate seating areas, and L shaped bench for the table. I'm guessing the poster stayed in one of the other alternates.

I think the current family suite layout was the "cheapest" to create, so that's why they went with it, but they decided not to re-tool the other samples.
