Disney's ALL-STAR MUSIC RESORT Family Suites Information & Questions

haven't been able to find this answer...we're thinking about bounceback free dining for next year, but not sure about who would be going with us this time. A suite might be the way to go for us - wouldn't mind all the extra room if it's just us for part of the week. Here's the question, though...do you have to fold up the beds or do the maids do that as part of making up the rooms every day? Or do you just fold them up to get them out of the way?

I found it easier to fold them out to get them out of the way. The maids would unfold and tidy up the beds and then fold them back up again.

Thanks to everyone on this thread it has been very helpful. No we just have under 2 months til our stay.

We have a suite booked, but are considering booking a standard room as well for more room. If we do this, are there some suites that can connect to regular rooms? If that's not possible, can they at least be adjoining, quite close together??

Thanks for the help!

There aren't any suites that connect to regular rooms. When we stayed in a suite our friends joined us several days later and they were about 2 or 3 doors down from us in a regular room.

What are the best areas to request for the family suites? I know that they are all close to melody hall but we would like to be close to the food court and bus stop. Thanks!!

From what I have heard all the suites are either in Calypso or jazz. Making them some of the closest rooms. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. This is are first time at the suites also. Looking forward to it.

Wanted to ask how the food court is? I thought we had the regular dining plan but when I looked at my reservation it was the QSDP. Not a huge deal to me since I don't have to keep up with all the adr's. I called and she told me the suites were all booked up for the reg dining plan. So since we will be eating in the food court quite a bit I figure I would ask how it was? We will be eating one meal in the parks. And probably at DTD a couple of times.

Hi. You'll love the suite! The food court is good - they have pasta, a nice turkey dinner, sandwiches, soup. If you're staying in Calypso 10 or Jazz 9, you can walk across the parking lot in a minute and visit All Star Movies food court, too. They have a larger selection there. Check out the menus on here - you can see there's a TON of variety.

We were there for almost 2 weeks in January, so let me know if I can help with anything.

Hi,

We are a family of 5, so we are considering staying here!

Question, Is the food court close to the suites?

We have stayed at CBR and Ft. Wld. Cabins and found each to be far from the food court. Our DD is in a wheelchair she is 16 and likes to go to the food court by herself but due to the distance we would not allow her!

What do you think? Would she be able to go there herself? Her brother is 10 and Sister is 21.

Thanks in advance!:cool1:

The suites are in the buildings closest to the food court. You might look at a map and request the sides of the buildings that are closer.

Can someone tell me if the suites mostly face the pool? I can't wait for our stay. So excited.

Question for anyone who has stayed in the Suites before. Is there room in the bedroom to put the ottoman pulled out? We are 4 adults and 2 kids (8 and 10). We figured if we could put 1 kid in each room .. that would work out best for us.

We are just getting ready to stay at the Suites in a week. While I have not tried it myself, I have seen on other threads that the ottoman will not fit through the bedroom door. We are going to bring a cot from home to use for that very thing just in case they are feeling a little cramped in the living room.

These family suites do NOT have washers and dryers, right? I'd love a washer and dryer!

KC

Like the other poster said no washers and dryers but you can sit on the porch of the laundry facility and easily watch your kids in the pool. You can actually see them from inside as well but who wants to stay in that little hot room the whole time you wait.

We are going for a long trip in December, kind of a blowout for our son before he leave for college next year. We will be staying 17 days. The longest we have ever stayed so I am thinking we may need more room than a normal room. Our son is 18, there will be 3 of us. I am trying to decide if we should book the Family suits or book 2 rooms at the Port Orleans Riverside. We stayed at POR for the first time Halloween last year and LOVED it and would love to say there again, and the room was fine. But for 17 days I am afraid we may need more room. And I don't want to spend a whole lot for a suite in the other hotels because that is money we could spend on our trip. Any input would be appreciated. We will also have annual passes for the first time and be able to get annual passholder discounts for the first time if that will make any difference to what our options could be. I don't know what that would do for prices since we have never purchased annual passes before this year.

Thanks,
Melissa

WE had four adults and a pack n play in the living room. Still had room to walk around. We put the coffee table ottoman in the kichen area at night. Even had room to bring in a ECV and plug it in. Plently of space.
