There is very little DisneyQuest info on the website. Doesn't answer questions such as:
What is the ticket price if not purchasing with a combo ticket? Does price vary by season/day/time of entry during the day?

Do you pay again for the individual arcade attraction and games once you've paid for the ticket or are the games/attractions included in ticket price?

Thanks for any info!

The Dis has a decent article about DisneyQuest: http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-springs/disney-quest.htm

It says tickets are $45/$39 adult /child. I don't believe there is flexible pricing, because they are closing soon so they probably aren't investing the energy into developing a pricing schedule etc.

There are some games where you win prizes / tickets - those will have additional charges. However the majority are included in your ticket.

We went there twice this past August and I will tell you that it's a little obvious that they're closing. Games not working, some virtual reality experiences shut down (I think permanently) basically a tad tired and outdated. We also didn't receive any tickets on the games equipped with that feature. We had the "Waterparks and More" option, so it was no big deal to go, however I would never pay OOP what they're charging with the way things are at this time. They need to knock it down a notch.

I would like to add that my kids did enjoy themselves nonetheless, but we only stayed an hour or two each time. The most fun and unique things we experienced were Animation Academy, Buzz Lighthear's AstroBlaster and Cyberspace Mountain.

Hammie59, great review, thank you! We are particularly interested in Aladdin's magic carpet ride, Wreck-it Ralph, and Pirates attractions. Do you remember if any of those were the ones permanently closed?

I can't answer your question, but just wanted to say Go Bulls!

I wish I could remember, I know Jungle was open because we rode it. That attraction had a lot of wear and tear and didn't seem to work well. Not sure if there was something wrong or just old technology. Wreck it Ralph games were all still up and running. They have a section with about 6 machines side by side. That was the main reason my kids wanted to go. If you do Animation Academy, know you won't get a print out of your masterpiece anymore. You have to take a picture of the screen with your phone or camera! (Seriously, not typical Disney quality which is another red flag).
Honestly, I think DQ is really unique and if they would just update a few things it would be worth the price of admission. Having unlimited turns is pretty neat. Too bad they've given up on it.

We love DQ and try to go every trip - we were last there in March this year. I think that VR alien one on the top floor was closed but by and large, most things were running. I would keep in mind that my kids are pretty easily pleased and they both find games outside the home more amusing even if they have the same thing at home.

- AstroBlasters: I personally think its a wee bit lame (because I can NEVER get the hang of it!!) but my two teens love it. And so does my DH. I think all three of them are little kids at heart LOL! I will say it is a very unique experience and a bumper car-style ride you won't find anywhere else.

- Pirates of the Caribbean: one of my favourite attractions ANYwhere in Disney World. So. Much. Fun!! Basically 4 (maybe 5?) people put on these 3D glasses and enter a room that looks like the deck of a pirate ship. You are surrounded by a giant screen on all sides. One person steers and the rest run around from cannon to cannon shooting pirates. It's a hoot! The lines used to be super long but now its really short.

- Jungle Cruise: another unique ride. Up to 4 people get on an inflatable raft, you're given paddles, and you paddle through a course on the screen in front of you. It's rather hard to control but my teen DD LOVES the whole idea of paddling through a video game. Warning: the paddling does gets rather tiring and I can see some groups not liking this one at all. Canoeing is one of my favourite things in the world to do, so this game is right up my alley. Like a PP said, the steering is not precise so we just all get wacky on it, screaming in laughter and working really hard to paddle our raft in the right direction.

- Mighty Ducks pinball: we thinks its pretty cool although its not our favourite. Always worth a round or two :)

- Aladdin VR: I personally get dizzy and find this one really hard to do. Our first time on it, none of us were impressed (after waiting for 30 mins in line!). This past March, we left my teens at DQ for a few hours (while we had some nice adult time!) and I guess they spent some more time on the game. They dragged us on it when we returned. I was still completely confused (but then I'm not good at these types of games), but they had figured out how it all worked and showed me all the things they could do. They LOVED it. I would guess that after some practice, most kids who enjoy video games would be able to figure this out and the VR element is not something most have at home (I know - its outdated now anyway).

- Cyber Space Mountain: my teen DD LOVES this one. Good thing my teen DS does too (especially since he doesn't like real roller coasters!). After all these years, I STILL haven't gone on this even though they have raved about it since Day 1. What can I say - we usually sneak off for some adult time at this point!

- Wonderland Cafe: I love the whimsical QS area. And the couches/chairs are all pretty comfy (had to test it out for a snooze in March!). It used to always be packed - but in March, it was empty. Still, a good spot for the family to regroup. We left our bags (with no valuables) here while we played.

- video games: Floors, and floors, and floors of endless video games. My teen son LOVES it. I have to admit, both DH and I also like arcades so this part is always loads of fun :) My very favorite arcade game in all the world is here - I suck at it though and this is the only place where I can play the whole game from start to finish without running out of tokens LOL!

- Animation Academy: my teen DD loves this. It wasn't as good in March though - the screen she used was wonky and she had a hard time drawing and quickly got frustrated. There's also a little room to create your own music video on this floor that she likes.

I really, really, REALLY hope its still open when we get there in August 2017!

Yes, yes, yes! The POTC: Quest for Buccaneer Gold is so awesome! I will miss it the most when DQ is gone. It is one of the things still operating at this time.

Honestly though, DQ is worth an entry on a WPF&M ticket but not worth full price. Usually later in the evening they do discount the price, but you only have a few hours before closing. Then again, that's about all you need, so keep an eye out for that.

I have to say - if you have an arcade crazy kid, it *may* be worth full price. My teen son adores arcades and can never get enough. At home, it usually costs at least $20+ for an hour at the arcade (and that's being super cheap). I can see paying $30-40 to do DisneyQuest (I haven't yet though as we typically get WPF&M). Especially since our family usually stays from open to close. That's my kid though - one trip we spent TWO days from open to close at DQ and he still insisted on spending $20 at the resort arcade.

We're planning a big trip in Aug 2017 and all he's asked for is the arcade. If DQ is closed, he'll shell out his own money at the resort.

My 12 year old son loves DQ. He's so excited to go back. I've heard that since the deal for the NBA Experience that was supposed to replace DQ fell through, they're not actually planning to close it anytime soon. According to Jim Hill, it should be open through 2017. His rumors aren't always accurate, but he's got a decent track record.

I just have to share that my middle child turns 17 at the end of November and I told him about a week ago to pick somewhere (within reason) and I would plan a few days for just he and I to go somewhere right before Christmas. He picked WDW because he wants to go to DQ and I was more than happy to oblige. lol.

If you're just going solo can you join in on some of the other games? Like POTC?

This is all such great information, just what I was looking for, thank you! We are very close to Disney and frequently make day trips, but just kept meaning to get to DisneyQuest and never have seemed to fit it in. Just wanted to get a visit in before they closed. The attendant said probably by New Years.
Thanks, again!

Actually, unless the printer is broken, your supposed to be able to still get print outs. You just have to ask the CM about it.

We were at DQ earlier this week on Monday 10/24 (noon-2:30pm) and Wednesday 10/26 (3:00-5:30pm).

POTC - Open. We love this attraction and went a few times in a row. No lines.

Jungle Cruise - Open. We went and agree that the attraction is very worn. Masking tape on the floor area of the raft we were on. No lines.

Cyber Space Mountain - Open but we didn't go. No lines.

Buzz - Open but we didn't go. No lines.

Wreck It Ralph - Closed? I think this used to be on the left, after you get off the elevator on the 3rd floor. Either they took away some of the machines or relocated them somewhere else?

Animation Academy - Open. Classes are still offered and we drew Mickey Mouse on both days. The printer/cashier area to the left is gone now, and replaced with a "gallery" area with few chairs/couches. If the option to print is still available, it was not advertised. The instructor advised us to take a picture of our screen with our phones. The animation easels behind the drawing classes also had a sign saying to use your smart phone to take a picture of your creation. 6-7 ppl in the classes on both days.

Arcade games on the 4th and 5th floor - Most seemed to be working and we spent an hour or so here.
Maybe I'm imagining things, but there seemed to be less games than usual.

Are the Fix-it-Felix Jr games in the Wreck-it-Ralph section or part of the arcade games on the 4th/5th floor?

Hammie59, great review, thank you! We are particularly interested in Aladdin's magic carpet ride, Wreck-it Ralph, and Pirates attractions. Do you remember if any of those were the ones permanently closed?

We were there mid september and Pirates and Magic Carpet were running. I don't even remember seeing wreck it ralph so can't answer that one.

If you're just going solo can you join in on some of the other games? Like POTC?

It depends. It is usually so slow in there that they don't mix groups, but you can always ask to join. I am usually just with one other person and we will merge with another 2-person crew. I have tried to go it alone, and they can give you a "Ghost Captain" so you only have to shoot, not steer, but I refuse that. I will work every station if I have to! It's a blast!
