It would be nice if Disney had spent some $ to keep it updated and I agree the building exterior is fugly. But we went more than once each trip (water park & more tickets) and really enjoyed it. Great on rainy days. Great on days when you had a wicked sunburn and didn't want to go to a park until after dark. Concept is dated? So are a dozen classic attractions but we still go to them and loved them. Disney, like any smart business, wants to appeal to multiple demographics. Something like DQ was a way to appeal to interests that might be under-served in the major theme parks. I think that appeal was greater for a gaming theme rather than a sports theme. DH and I have zero interest in the NBA so we, too, will not go, and losing DQ is one less reason for us to bother going to DTD/Hyperion Springs/insert new name here.
