Disneyland Reopening Speculation Superthread

I have tickets purchased through getawaytoday.com and was provided with vouchers only so no hard tickets yet either. I emailed Disney this morning to see if I can get some info on how this will work when trying to make a reservation.

Your ticket numbers are on those vouchers so you already have them. :) I linked mine to my app already so I'm ready to go! It's the number underneath the barcodes. The email they sent might have included the ticket numbers too for convenience, mine did!

I booked my hotel for Dapper Days through their link in order to get the discount and the reservation number provided is not able to be linked in my Disney account... This makes me nervous. ugh I think I may have to call...

I tried and it didn’t work for me. I’ll try again though

I've also wondered if they could just email their vacation package holders digital tickets before the park reservation system opens. Shouldn't be too hard to do that...
DL will probably treat package holders the same way WDW does. That package that you hold has linked tickets and your package reservation number unlocks the specific days of your package for reservations.

*Did you notice that WDW is advising 2021 room-only guests with separately linked tickets, not a package, to call and convert their room-only to a package?

2020 room-only guests + separate tickets should be fine - there isn’t an advisory for non-package guests for this calendar year.

I did notice that. I think that we are going to see a lot of changes come to how WDW does things.

I think I am mostly freaked out a bit about not having physical tickets or ticket numbers because DL's system is so different that WDW's system and we are newbies to DL. This will be our first trip to DL and I just don't know as much about the process of things compared to WDW. I definitely think that the DL app needs an update when comparing it to WDW's app :)

I'd get in touch with Get Away Today- on their live videos they talked a lot about the vouchers and were helping people find the ticket numbers to link them. I bet their phones will be busy today with WDW but you could try Facebook messaging them too- sometimes that's faster I've noticed!

I was able to see my "extended" Signature Plus pass yesterday on the app. It had my original June 5th expiration with "133 days remaining." But I just went to add my daughter's separate ticket (she's the only one without an AP), and all the APs have now disappeared again from the app. I hope it's Disney IT working on things.

Separately, add me to the list of people who has questions about tickets. I bought my daughter's e-ticket before this all went down for our original 4-day trip in July. That 4-day trip is now a two-day due to the resort opening on the last day of our original stay. We bought the park-hopper and max pass option so that's quite a bit of extra money for a ticket that I now can't fully use. I was hoping not to have to use it for this trip, and just buy her a two-day single park ticket separately, but with what WDW has just done, I linked the ticket just in case. I'm hoping I can go in and change it later.

Ignore my previous reply! I tried again and it worked!!! Whew!

I feel the same way re: our Sept PPH reservation!

The WDW confirms what many of us suspected...that resort guests DO have first priority...BUT the guests have to take action. Getting a park reservation is not automatic...just like getting a FP+ is not an automatic or guaranteed thing. It looks like at WDW, on site resort guests have 4 days' lead time before it opens to AP holders. So if you snooze, you lose.
You snooze you lose is right on this one, especially with timed entry tickets. I told DH that we may have to pull the trigger on reservations before we even know what will be open. The worst case (for us) is that the whole of SWGE is closed — to be clear, I HAVE NOT heard that to be the case, but if we are expecting the worst and hoping for the best, that’s it. DH still wants to go 💜

I'm concerned about the timed entry but I suppose not everyone wants to get there right when they open like me and my kiddo. But hopefully if you can get that morning time slot, then it's all good!

I'd be really surprised if they didn't let you re-enter once you leave. Think about people with little ones, sometimes a break just NEEDS to happen. Especially when factoring in meltdowns, etc. And then with masks... I have a feeling many people might be taking more breaks than usual, I know we will!

I'm a little worried with annual passes....at first I wasn't going to renew, but now I kind of want to. Do you think they will allow renewals again once the park is reopened?

So are all the dates going to open when they open up reservations? Say if we want to go in December, will that open now?

So: DW announced today — a week in advance — that reservations for AP holders will be available beginning on June 26 (i.e. next Friday). Since DL opens (less than) a week later, I hereby speculate that reservations for DL will become available the following Friday (July 3) with an announcement next Friday.

We have a vacation package through Costco, but also have annual passes so I am very curious how this will all work. I kind of like the idea of a link being sent because it's like proof that they have a plan for my arrival, sort of? But I also wonder if that's just for people who have packages directly through DL and not the middle man like Costco? At least my updated confirmation from Costco shows my GCH reservation/upgrade from DLH. That felt good.
Costco Disneyland packages are technically direct bookings. If you look carefully at the website next time you book, the final confirmation pages are on Disneyland.com. So whatever they do you will be treated like the others who booked directly.

My daughter’s pass expired at the end of May, and even though I called to request the extension option we’ll before that, it still only shows up as “one pass needs to be renewed!” in the app. Makes me nervous, even though I know that’s just how it is right now... I don’t have a lot of faith in Disney’s IT or phone CMs, so it seems dicey.

My husband and I expire on July 15. We should be extended, too... but I guess we’ll see.

All of my internal debates about trying to go will be a moot point if we don’t have active passes!

Someone confirmed on a wdw thread (don't ask me which one anymore) that you can re-enter the parks.

@WonkaKid @TikiTikiFan @StarlitNight05

holler to all the asthmatics on the board! (count me in - we should get together and share war stories)

FWIW, disposable surgical masks are required at my hospital (N95 and shield for staff taking care of COVID+ patients), but cloth masks are not allowed.

Yep. Cloth masks were not permitted at any of the 3 recent doctor's appointments I have gone to. I showed up to one in a surgical mask and they asked me to remove it and they gave me another surgical mask from their own supply before I could enter the building. At another appointment, I was asked to swap my cloth mask for a surgical one (kids were wearing disposable KN95 type and they were allowed to keep those on). At the last one, cloth masks were allowed in the waiting room (we were the only ones in there), but not in the exam rooms. I carry both types with me now.

2 people have independently confirmed that here including one of the mods and I've also seen it confirmed on another message board by another individual. I think it's safe to assume that's right (for WDW)
