I didn't take it as a sign of reopening. It looked to me more like a back off comment.

That’s what I got from the gif too, so I looked in the comments just to make sure, and there it was! I have to admit, I was hoping they were misusing the gif

I saw it as more of a "calm down" gif. That's what is happening in that scene in the movie.

Just got word from our school district that school will resume in person on Sept 24. They also made the 21 and 22 non school days for all students in order to prepare.

Now I just need Disneyland to open Sept 21 or 22 so we can go!

I hope so too! The email DID say that the date is dependent on the metrics remaining on their current trend (steady/downward) until Sept 22, but also expressed confidence that the date would be firm.

I see Knott's announced a fall food event through November 1st. I know we all read into everything but they must not think they will open before then.

This question is for anyone... Does anyone know if Knott's is working on getting ready to reopen like Disney is? My thought is they could be having this festival and still reopen during it if they are ready. What do you guys and gals think?

My understanding, and what I’ve heard, is that they are preparing events for the future to continue to make money during the closures. They will re-adjust as necessary.

I suspect they are preparing but have the wiggle room to not say anything because it was previously announced that the park would be closed through 2020 and all passes will be extended to December 2021.

At this point, opening would be icing for guests since they had no expectations that it would happen. Also, I'm sure Knotts has a Taste of the Holidays already planned that would take them through January.

That is good, as Anaheim has been a "hot spot" for awhile in our county. Good to see it slowing down there.
