We are in the process of finalizing our pre and post trip days for our May 2009 trip to London and Paris and we were wondering if anyone knows exactly what is included in the add-on package available through ABD. Is it just a room and does that room include admission to the park and what about the hotel fast past things -- has anyone used them or found them useful? And if you get the add-on package do you have to get to Disneyland Paris by yourself or does ABD help you get there and what do you do with your bags -- we would like to spend the morning in Paris before we move to Disneyland Paris but don't want to lug our luggage around.

Christy - Is there an official add-on package offered by DLP?

We did Knights&Lights last Summer and there was no add-on. ABD did offer the option of booking an additional night pre-tour or post-tour - at ABD hotel rates. We elected to stay the extra night in Paris and did a day-trip to DLP. While ABD did not offer transportation to DLP, it's very easy to get to from the hotel in Paris (about 1 hour door-to-door). We had considered staying at DLP, but we felt it was pretty expensive (and the timing was not working for us). Being DisneyWorld vets, we felt like we could hit the highlights in 1 day. We did it, but it was a very long day ;)

All that said, I have heard of cases where ABD did provide a courtesy shuttle to DLP for people on the tour who were going to be staying at DLP. However, people needed to officially assume they were on their own re: transportation.

I don't think I've answered your question very well. There's a link in my sig below for a trip report that has more details if you're interested.

When we booked through ABD they referred to it as an "add on package" and that we had to stay two nights and couldn't just book one night as we had originally planned. But by the same token while she took our information nothing was confirmed and she seemed rather vague about exactly what that would entail. And I enjoyed your blog so much I read the entire thing out loud to my husband.

I booked the add on package for our trip in 3 weeks. There was a choice of 2, maybe 3 hotels. I chose the top one, Disneyland Hotel, and my package inlcudes 2 nights room, 3 days park tickets and VIP fastpasses, whatever they are. This package was expensive.

This is different from the add-on for Paris which you can do. I had originally done that, thinking we'd take a day trip to DLP but when I found out they now offered the DLP add-on, I changed it. You cannot do an add-on in Paris and a subsequent add-on at DLP, you have to pick one or the other.

The DLP add on was a lot more than just the Paris hotel add on.

Thanks for the response. That's what we got -- the two day add-on. Do you think that the add-on includes transportation to DLP?

I was told this included transportation from the hotel in Paris to the Disney hotel of your choice plus then the transportation back to the airport.

That is very helpful thank you. Please blog when you come back so that we can read it, we are so excited about this trip we think of little else. LOL

We booked the add on package on our trip. It included transportation to DLP and then later transportation from DLP to the airport. It included breakfast as well. Also park tickets were included as well as VIP fastpasses. The VIP fastpass allows you to ride any fastpass ride whenever you wish as often as you like. Do not give up your VIP fastpass like you would a regular fastpass. It'll be dated and you'll need to show it each time. Have a great time. HTH

Has anyone done a Disneyland Paris add on to the London/Paris ABD trip lately? We are looking at this trip and would like to stay an extra day or two to visit Disneyland Paris. Also for anyone who has done the Gateway London/Paris can you pay extra and add a trip to Versailles on since it's not included in the Gateway trip only the Knights and Lights version?

To my knowledge, you cannot add on a trip to Versailles through ABD. If you wanted to add the trip yourself during your "on your own time", or after the tour, I'm sure the ABD Guides would be able to help & advise you on setting that up. I'd give ABD a call to make sure on that one.

I priced the DLP add on a few years ago but would love to know what it is now and what it includes. Did you still get a choice of hotel? I think it was a choice from two before.

Right now, you have a choice of two hotels... one for 1500 dollars a PERSON double occupancy... Disneyland Hotel... one outside of the park for 800 dollars a PERSON... I'm still trying to figure out what is included.

They get you from Paris to Disneyland and from Disneyland to the Airport... 2 nights, 3 days...

According to my notes, it includes the room (oviously! :)) for 2 nights, a 3 day park-hopper pass, VIP fastpasses, breakfast and xfers (from the Paris Hotel to Disneyland Paris, and from Disneyland Paris to Charles de Gaulle airport.)

I asked about the DLP add-on recently for my trip and for two people I was quoted: Disneyland Hotel $2769.42 or Disney's New York Hotel for $1620.40.

This includes breakfast and fastpasses. I am not sure, but I think maybe you only get the VIP fastpass with the more expensive hotel.

Transporation to resort from Paris and from resort to airport included. I was told this would be via "dedicated vehicle or motorcoach".

I am sure it would be nice to do it through ABD, because you can continue worrying about nothing, but I just couldn't swallow the rates. I booked us a lake view room at DNY for about a grand and will work out transportation on my own.

Whatever you decide, have a great trip!
