does Disney really want me to believe that they are closing the ride for 2 months and they didnt know about closure when I called.
There is absolutely NO chance that the general CM who answers the phone would have a single clue about ride refurbs. The CMs AT the ride probably didn't know. You are expecting FAR too much from the info shared; when they have it ready to share, they share it...until then, the info isn't there.
I should have went back to Disneyworld.
Because they never shut anything down? I highly doubt that.
I fully understand your anger. I went to DLR and Space Mtn. was down. I could have sworn it was down like two years because it seemed like the next summer it was closed, too.
If it was back before '05, then yes, it was closed about that amount of time. They redid the whole thing.
I swear the main reason I booked
Disneyland was so my family could go on a real coaster. That was the only one my son who is only 38 half inches tall could go on.[/QUOTE]
That's a pretty big gamble to take. My son absolutely HATED Matterhorn the first time he rode it. I mean hated it. If we'd gone to DLR solely for Matterhorn, what an awful visit that would have been!
Could have gone to Universal Orlando, ridden Flight of the Hippogriff, which is nice and out in the open (unlike scary Matterhorn), and without a Yeti (the main reason DS hated it so much).
With a little guy like that, you need to make vacation plans for you guys, and he gets to go along with you. Anything he likes is extra. To plan *around him* is far too likely to backfire on you.
