Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

I don't blame you! That's cool he has been playing so long. :thumbsup2

Both of his sister played up into their freshman year. The oldest actually played half of the sophomore year. I hope he lasts all four years it's a good class.

:thumbsup2 Plus it will keep him out of trouble. When children are involved and connected it decreases the chances of them getting into real trouble.

:figment: 33 days!!!! :figment:

And I had a duh moment. WoC is totally going to be connected to the Wine Country somehow as both are set to open June 11.

I think you are right about that. I think that I would rather he hung out with other band "geeks" than some of the other kids at school.

I hadn't thought about that connection either but you know that stands to reason. Maybe they have added patio seating to view WoC? That would actually be nice.

::yes:: I totally agree. That's why we will spend almost whatever to keep Gab in soccer, Chloe in gymnastics, and Joshua in soccer/baseball. :goodvibes

I am sure their phone lines will be buzzing at 7 am tomorrow. :hyper:

Oh ladies.............................Burbank's legal and corporate red tape couldn't get the proposed "Showpass" moniker approved in time, so they'll just be calling it World of Color Fastpass when it launches next month. Get to the Grizzly River Run ticket machines early, and just hope you pull a ticket in either Yellow A, B, C, or Red A and B sections. If you pull a Blue section ticket over by the Golden Zephyr, you might as well toss 'em and wait to get into Yellow or Red at the later non-Fastpass shows. - Al Lutz

I was just going to pass on that same basic info. I got mine at a different location. This has all the makings of a huge mess, and I am so willing to give it a miss if it is set up this way.

I totally agree. I see a major cluster-cuss in the making. I am holding out hope that GCV guests score WoC FPs or whatever they are going to call them.

Somehow I wonder. But I think that it is possible to get room that has a view of it. I was thinking that would be ideal. No crowds.

:ssst: I am with ya. I have already faxed my villa requests in. Honestly, I am the only show/parade geek in my family. They would just as well miss it and ride stuff when it's not crowded.

My DH is trying to convince me to do the volunteer parade. I am thinking about it seriously. Is that way too geeky or what?

I would do it. I think the lines of geeky get blurred when at Disney. The only things consistently geeky are fanny packs. I know people love them though. :confused3

ETA: Some people I love use fanny packs. I just think they are funny. ;)

I am guilty of carrying one at times. I told my daughter that I didn't want to carry it this time. I just don't want to carry a bag.

I think I don't like them in part because they draw the eye to the waist. Maybe they need to make a **** pack. :lmao: I guess that is a bra.

The husband of the friends who are coming with us to Disneyland, carries a murse! :rotfl2: I crack up every time he puts it on.

Hmm, I wonder if I can talk mine into that......No way!!

:rotfl: Mine either! It fits my friend's hubby though- he is a great sport. He can smuggle in lots of trail mix in that bad boy! We have done WDW with them 2x and now we'll do Disneyland; should be a terrific trip! I keep filling her in on the WoC updates, or lack there of, and she's says: Great! Not sure what WoC is but it sounds neat! :rotfl2:

I have decided not to stress over WoC. If we get to see it great, of we don't that's okay. There will be other chances and by the time I see it then the bugs will be worked out.

:goodvibes I need to adopt your philosophy! :thumbsup2 What bums me out is that I really wanted to eat at Wine Country and I am guessing it's going to be all WoC seating. There is no way I am going to pay to see the show with dinner unless it's just the cost of dinner like they do with the F!/dinner seating at WDW.

This is what I saw earlier.

What about Premium Viewing? You need look no further than the blueprint in the Blue Sky Cellar of the World of Color stage and viewing area to realize that there are better and worse places from which to watch the new show. Many vantage points have an obstructed or side-on view, and the newly-built viewing area reportedly has a smaller capacity than projected. With Disney clearly expecting enough crowds to fill three shows per night, competition for the "sweet spot" is going to be tough. Disney has previously offered "Premium Viewing" packages for popular shows, the best-known being the Fantasmic dessert package in Disneyland, but they're looking to take that program to a whole new level for the World of Color. The plan is to sell some form of boxed dinner or dessert package that will come with access to a reserved viewing area (note: not a reserved seat), and is intended to be eaten while you're waiting to be led into the show area. As it's been explained to us, you'd reserve your box meal/dessert up to one month ahead of time, then pick it up an hour or so before your show time and get in a line for the reserved viewing area. No menu or pricing details have been released yet, and we're trying to figure out how up to 2000 people per show are going to eat a box dinner/dessert while sitting/standing in line.

So a boxed meal to stand and wait for your spot to stand and watch the show? :headache: Sounds ill planned at best. Maybe they could punch me in the gut while they are at it? :lmao:

Thanks for the info!!!

Oh your welcome.

Is that not the most ill planned thing you have ever heard? Did they not realize that people would want to do the seating like at Fantasmic? Or is this a lazy way to handle it?
