Help me decide when to do a quick solo trip

Help me decide: I'm doing a one night solo trip this fall to hit up Food and Wine and just do some of my favourite things/things I've never done before. I have an AP this year for the first and only time, so want to make the most of it!

Deciding between September 16/17 or October 27/28.

Without any other context or variables, which would you choose?

October will be cooler than September, lower chance of hurricanes but more crowded.

Sept is lower crowds and likely cheaper hotel but due to the heat I find it hard to do F&W. I’m just not hungry and the warm dishes border on stomach churning.

October. I will be there as well (Oct 26 - Nov 2) for a birthday and Halloween trip.

October - as others have said, cooler (and hopefully past the worst of hurricane season).

October will be cooler than September, lower chance of hurricanes but more crowded.

So ultimately you have to decide which bothers you more-excessive heat, or crowds. If it were me, I'd go in October.

I've gone solo in September many times - the key (at least for me) is to hit the parks later in the day and close them down as it makes the weather more tolerable. The late afternoon/evening heat isn't that bad (to me) and the lack of crowds is worth it. If you only have a quick 1 night trip and the weather is an issue than I'd go for October for all the reasons others have already said.

Price-wise, September will be cheaper, and crowd-wise, generally less crowded.
Temperature-wise, September will likely be over 90 degrees and high humidity...October can sometimes be upper 80s with slightly less humidity, OR can be over 90 degrees and high humidity. 20 years ago, we had cooler Octobers and you could even get early cold fronts dropping temps into the low 70s during the day - but that hasn't really been a thing lately. We're lucky to get our first cool front in mid-November. Florida doesn't do 4 seasons - it's usually summer from April 15 - November 15, fall from Nov 15 to March 1, Spring from Mar 1 to April 14...and the Fall and Spring can be shortened by up to a month depending on the year. We stopped having winters in 2010.
