I would do the PPH Theme Park view. It's a great view, and every bit as nice a room as DLH.
Well, I'm going to disagree with this, but I've only stayed at PPH once and DLH many many times. I would have to say I have a lot of affection for DLH which may color my view.
But...PPH's bathroom is very much inferior to DLH's. I am a stickler for getting resort amenities when paying resort prices and found PPH lacking. At DLH, the counters are granite and everything is set out in a very classy way. PPH had a funky showerhead and fewer amenities. In our room, the water temperature fluctuated wildly. Our housekeeping services were not as good. There were no bathrobes in the closet and the decor, while cute, was not nearly as nice as the DLH furniture IMO. We actually had a tiny plastic battery-operated clock! The room was a good size and the beds comfy but the refurbished rooms at DLH are SO much prettier and a lot more fun.
The whole pool area was closed and drained during our stay. There were drain hoses and equipment everywhere and no pool, waterslide, spa, or outdoor area at all available to guests. Since PPH has very limited outdoor areas to begin with, that was disappointing. DLH has lush, beautiful grounds that cover acres and include outdoor dining, an outdoor fireplace, gazebo area, etc etc.
PPH has the beautiful theme park views, but other than that, there isn't much there that I find appealing. The dining options are nothing much, the lobby is very meh, and the elevators can be frustrating. I never felt like I was connected to the rest of DLR, but that isn't true for everyone. To me, PPH is just a standard hotel that has thrown some Disney touches on it, while DLH is a resort hotel full of the magic of Disney.
