Hello :goodvibes

I'm thinking I'd like to check The Disneyland Hotel off my bucket list next year when I visit Disneyland. We will be traveling in their off season, October next year and I was wondering has anyone got a good deal on their stay there without a package, as we are doing a stop over in Hawaii so don't was return airfares to LA. Are the travel expos worth a shot, I saw last time they featured the Walt Disney Travel Company and wondered if they offer 'specials' on the day. I know the Disneyland website occasionally offers 20-35% off their rates but I'm not sure how close to the date i'd have to wait to benefit from that.

October is becoming an increasingly popular time to visit Disneyland due to events such as Gay Days and Mickey's Halloween Party. Also, some states are in Fall Break during October. Because of this, specials are not as common in October as one might hope.
I discovered this through experience when I planned for our trip during the October that's just been.

One website you could keep an eye on though is Orbitz. In the past they have specials of up to 20% off that did cover the Disney hotels.

If you are at Disneyland during Gay Days and are happy to join in with the Gay Day celebrations, you can get a pretty amazing price for the Disney hotels by going through the Gay Days website.

Thank you, yes I was beginning to realise that October was not so 'off-peak' but September is too hot for us and November was originally our first choice but I since heard about the Xmas Parade tapings taking place early November, rides closed to be done up for Xmas, Veterans Day and Thanks Giving I couldn't find a good 10 day space that nothing was going on. Last two trips we did was early in the year which worked well but this time we need to travel the end of 2015 so, yes we are asking a lot, no crowds, good weather and specials on accommodation, high hopes I know :)
