Just for those who may still be hoping for a place as of right now registration has reopened for the Half. Unfortunately im in WDW and hopelessly out of shape but hoping this might help someone.

Half and challenge are both open for the January races, plenty of time to get in shape

Oh !! Not so sure about the challenge but just the half hmm may have to wait until we are there next week and see if I can convince my better half a short winter Cali trip is a good idea

Like the previous poster said, it's a tunnel that goes down and under the road/sidewalk and then comes back up on the other side. I thought it was kind of fun to run it during the races in January, but the incline coming out of it is decently steep so maybe not super fun if you don't like hills. Lol.

It's nasty if your on wheels I'll tell you that much. Mainly because its long enough that I have to worry enough that someone might cut in front of me and make me hit the brakes and lose the momentum from the downhill that I really need for the uphill. At least this time I'm with my handcycle so I'll have gears to climb back out.

But I was a happy camper when I saw it was only on one of the course maps. When I'm signed up for all three.

This isn’t a Boston jacket—I doubt anyone cares who is wearing it. I’ve never personally found a RunDisney jacket that matches my style, but if you like it, go for it. They’re selling a bunch of “I did it” merch to people who haven’t yet completed any of the races.

My only concern would be that there are a limited number of popular sizes available. If someone who is running the challenge wasn't able to purchase the size they needed because people who didn't run the challenge bought those sizes, then I'd see a problem.
If you're looking for some great Nightmare Before Christmas merch, there's plenty of cute (non-RunDisney) items available at the Disneyland resort. One of my friends bought a really cute sweater last week.

Look on eBay, right after wine and dine last year the figment medals were all over eBay.

As you just noted, lots of stuff gets bought up and put on eBay by resellers. I’ve seen so many people fill shopping baskets with every size of clothing while they are putting up eBay listings. If Disney is not preventing resellers from buying up all the merch, then you shouldn’t feel bad about buying what you want. Plus, should people who can’t complete the challenge have to return their merch?
