Disneyland ECV/GAC at RSR question

Has anybody rode RSR (Radiator Springs Racers) with just an ECV (no additional GAC)? I'm curious about the procedure. Is the standby line mainstreamed? DH would like to try RSR, but doesn't usually make park opening (we stay within walking distance and I go over early with the girls and everybody else staggers in/out throughout the day) with the girls and I (neither does my mom, who we are hoping to talk into riding as well - she uses a WC). Normally, I'd just get FPs for all of us when they get into the park, but if FPs continue to go as quickly as they are now (gone within the first 1.5 hours), that won't be an option.

Here's my concern about the standby line: a 3-4 hour wait and DH with urgency (restroom) issues. With an ECV, leaving the line and trying to rejoin the group will be impossible. It's not that he's incontinent, but a line that long could prove to be problematic to the point of an accident. I guess my question is, does anybody have experience with a GAC for a similar issue that would allow something akin to going to the entrance and getting something with a return time for the FP line later in the day. Or would Disney's response be to wear Depends?

Not sure about this particular ride but I remember reading about a similar situation here on the DIS some time ago; Disney's response had been that since the line was mainstreamed the party needed to arrive early enough to get their own fastpasses. There is apparently no GAC for needing to sleep in late. It would never hurt to ask though.

Editing to add, actually I don't think I read about that on the DIS but on another board.

Disney definitely won't issue a GAC simply because someone prefers to arrive at the park too late to get a FP. I'm not sure about DL/DCA, but I know the questioned has been raised/answer about WDW - there really isn't a GAC that covers "bathroom breaks" and FP line or standard, it can be very difficult to 1) leave the line and 2) try to rejoin your party. Other guests in line may not be very understanding or accommodating. The recommendation is to make sure you go often and definitely visit the restroom prior to entering a long queue.

However, your DH could certainly go to Guest Relations when he arrives at the park to see if there is anything they can do to assist with his needs.

My DH doesn't 'prefer' to arrive at the park late. Please don't act as if his disability is one of laziness or preference.

My apologies, I didn't mean to imply laziness. It was your wording that some of your party arrives at the park early "and everybody else staggers in/out throughout the day" - which sounds like preference.

However, Disney will not give a GAC simply because someone's diability results in them arriving at the park too late to get a FP. I did suggest that your DH discuss his needs with Guest Relations to see what accommodations might be available to him. If he has "invisible" needs beyond the obvious (ECV = mobility needs), they will know what can be offered. My DD has kidney issues and frequent urgent restroom needs, so I understand the concern; WDW was not able to offer an accommodation other than suggestions to use the restrooms frequently, use them right before getting in line, and using FP when possible.

IMHO - I would never do a 3-4 hour standby queue; to me, no ride is worth that long a wait and I can do much more with my day than stand in such a long queue. But I recognize others may feel the experience is worth the wait. I certainly hope your DH is able to ride any and all rides he most desires.
