Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Hey ladies!
Sorry I was kinda MIA the later part of today... things were crazy at work and hub was off early so we ate Chipotle (i'm going to diet hell for this) and watched CSI all night... On the plus side we decided what we are doing for our anniversary which also happens to be Halloween... We are going to DISNEYLAND!!!!! I'm so stoked... It was even his idea... He really only goes cuz I love love love it but he suggested it! I didn't think we'd be able to go until December when we have to renew our APs.. We bought tickets tonight for Mickey's Trick or Treat Party. This is the 2nd actual holiday I've been too.. We went for the 4th (where I conned a cast member into trading his cast pin for the 4th to me... they can get fired for that) and now this one! I'm soooo stoked... I keep telling him I get to go home! LOL Anywho thats about it here...

Sarah

Good morning all! I know I haven't posted in a while...work has been crazy! But wanted to let you all know I am down another 2 lbs this week! 2 more to go till my next goal! I am hoping to be there next friday! I hope you all did just great this week, but even if you didn't lets start this new week off right by drinking that water!

Sarah

Sarah ~ That's so great you'll be going to DL for Halloween!!! I love Halloweentime at Disneyland. We are going in October too and I cannot wait.

Sarah ~ Way to go on the 2 lbs!!!! You are doing so good!!!

OKay, so this week, I am up.

Last week I was at 223.8 and now I am at 224, for a gain of +0.2 lbs.

Oh well. I lost so much the week before that it's not entirely surprising. I'll just have to keep working at it. We leave for Disney in about 3 weeks and before we go I want to be in the 2-teens, so that's my new goal.

Have a wonderful day ladies!!!

January, Capri, Amy, Tina, Cheryl, Shirley, Wendy, Stacie, etc. Where are you guys????? We miss you!!
I hope you are all doing well, working out, drinking your water and staying healthy! :cheer2: :) Pop in when you can and let us know how you are doing.

I have never been at Halloween time so I am soooo stoked! We bought our tickets to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party too!!! I am absolutely ecstatic!! :dance3:

You see, I didn't know that we were trying to lose weight. So this whole time I've been gaining it. :rolleyes1

I still check in on you all and you are all doing a GREAT job!

Once my work schedule gets back on track I'll be able to start exercising more and start eating healthier. For now though, it's all about sitting at my desk all day and eating fast food. :sad2:

bad day at work... Lots of no good things and I'm getting over my little tear shedding in the bathroom... Today is a cookie day... Went to Paradise Bakery got my fire roasted tomato soup and 2 sugar cookies... split one of the cookies with a few co-workers so i'll eat 1.5... just one of those days where will power isn't even in it... I just need a cookie and a hug from my DH which i will get at 430... prolly a bad dinner to follow...

Whoops! I forgot to weigh in this morning. But I will tomorrow.

Going to try to get in a run today and then my long run on Sunday. My schedule's all messed up right now.

Here's the QUOTE OF THE DAY
Affirm the positive, visualize the positive and expect the positive, and your life will change accordingly.

I have a feeling I gained this week.
I'm hoping to maintain or lose.:guilty:

I have not been getting my water in every day, I have found this evil creation known to us as Coke Zero Cherry! How am I supposed to resist that?!:confused3

Eating hasn't been too great either, I haven't really counted calories at all this week.:headache:

This has been my first week of the C25k program and I feel like I'm cheating because I'm not working out 4-5 times a week. The program says to only work out 3 days (MWF or TTHS) and let your body rest but I haven't been exactly sitting on the couch these past 12 weeks so I feel bad about not exercising those other days.

Yesterday was workout 2. I took Osita with me over to my Aun'ts house (she was watching my little sister for me) and we did our run/walk around the neighborhood. If anybody knows how the valley is, it's VERY hilly. So that was a nice challenge.

I'm going to walk my dog today on my day "off"!:laughing: I know! Don't call the C25k program people on me! But my dog needs exercise at least 5-6 times a week. According to Cesar Millan aka the Dog Whisperer a dog needs exercise, discipline THEN affection. It makes a lot of sense to me and I don't want her turning into a problem dog even though she already has her problems and I'm hoping to somehow have Cesar help me. I already know she is part hunting dog and needs a "job" so I'm hoping (when funds are better) to buy her a "backpack" that has weights to challenge her more.

GOSH DARN IT, I WANT MY DOG TUCKERED OUT :lmao:

ok, that was way to long for our WISH thread

I agree that you haven't been exactly sitting on the couch, so you may need to adjust the program a little. Have you thought of cross training on the other days? Maybe work with weights or yoga or pilates? And I think dog walking should be ok. If you start feeling some aches and pains, you probably should stop exercising the other days, but I don't think you need to exercise less than you were before. The point is to build slowly, so you can build strength and endurance and avoid injury, but not to slow down.

GOOD LUCK!!
And get that dog tuckered out!

I'm sorry. Hang in there. Instead of the cookie, why not a hug and a hot bath? Or a new DVD rental and some Smart Ones popcorn?

In any case, I'm sorry for the rough day. :grouphug:

Here's hoping for a good weigh in. :wizard:

Oh who the hell am I kidding?? :rotfl: I am totally addicted to Diet Pepsi, BUT try I do try to limit it to one a day. :thumbsup2

Ok, so this is just getting too freaky! I also discovered this drink in the last couple of days. I have only had one a day for the last 2 days, but still, I need to get back to the water! I am really interested to see what it will be like when we meet in person! If our lives are this parallel here, what are they going to be like in the parks?

That is TOO wierd! Maybe we'll just do everything the same and we will keep running into each other when the group isn't together.

Fun times ahead, most def!:rotfl:

Happy Saturday Ladies!

Ok, I stepped on the scale this morning and I am up .5 pounds. I was hoping maybe to be down, since I'd gone a few days eating barely anything, but I was up. I know why: not enough water, not enough exercise and letting little "no nos" slip back into my diet, like just small portions of chocolate, a few handfuls of wheat thins, a small slice of pizza. After that week of parties and then Disneyland, I picked up some bad habits that aren't all that easy to let go of, but I know I've got to get back to the basics: exercise, no chocolate bon bons (even if they are little!), no wheat thins, more water, etc.. Sad but true. :rotfl:

So, I'm moving my long run until tomorrow, because I need TWO HOURS :scared1: to complete it. And I just don't have that kind of time this morning with my DS's soccer game coming up in an hour. Not sure how I'm going to make that...run...walk...run...walk...check watch...run some more...water...sport beans...and on and on....:woohoo:

Now for the QUOTE OF THE DAY
There's no easy way out. If there were, I would have bought it. And believe me, it would be one of my favorite things!
Oprah Winfrey

Have a great weekend everyone! :hippie:

I stepped on the scale today and I'm up 1lb:sad1:
But I have no one to blame but myself. I ate the wrong things and only worked out 3 days this week.

It's ok, I'm more motivated than ever to stick with it this week. :goodvibes

So today has been my worst food day in the last 10 weeks. I went out to breakfast and had a greek omlet with feta cheese and 2 slices of sourdough toast with butter. Then for lunch I had 3 WW icecream bars and 1/4 container of chocolate cream cheese icing. Dinner was 12 chicken nuggets and 5 grams of gold fish crackers. I think a large part of it was being out of my regular routine and not getting my water first thing in the morning. I also got only 4 hours of sleep last night which seemed to affect my concentration and so I had a hard time really thinking about what I was eating. Tomorrow will be better and I don't think I went over my daily points plus all my flex for the week, so as long as I stay on plan for the rest of the week I will be fine. Hope everyone's day was more successful than mine!

I'm sorry you are up but it's only a pound and you have been doing so good that I know you will lose it and more in no time.

Ugh, I feel so fat right now. I didn't do too badly today but for some reason I feel huge. Even more huge then I really am. LOL I cheated and weighed again today and the scale is going the wrong way.
It's just one of those days. Sort of like a bad hair day, but it's a bad everything day.

No biggie. I'll get over it. Just wanted to vent. :) I still have 23 days before my DL trip and I'm going to do my best to get into the 2-teens before then.

Keep at it everyone!! :cheer2:

That's what flex points are for...to give a little wiggle room, so you can start fresh and get back on track. I know when I don't sleep enough, I always eat badly. I think I try to use food to wake me up. Anyway, sounds like you're still on plan and still doing just fine. Here's to a great new day! :cheer2:

Maybe you need to do a little pampering, to make yourself feel better. Like perhaps some pretty toes would do the trick! princess:

Cristabel-- Did I see on the DL Girls board that you got your Disney Store job? Woohoo! :woohoo: That is such a great fit for you!

So, I did my run today. Made is 1 and 1/2 hours, not 2 hours. I got off to a late start and had to be back in time for DH to make it to karate. But to be honest, I don't know that my legs could have run another step anyway. I'm trying to build up my strength and endurance for my "run around my lake" in mid-October. I'll get there...even if I have to walk for part of it!

And, unusual for a Sunday, here's a QUOTE OF THE DAY
Accept everything about yourself - I mean everything. You are you and that is the beginning and the end - no apologies, no regrets.
-Clark Moustakas
